Egg White & Veggie Omelet
Zenobia C.

I hadn't eaten at Mimi's in a while but the other day, I was close to the movie theater and wanted breakfast. Their menu offered an egg white omelette so I visited. Their young lady sat me right away at a small booth after I asked if sitting at the bar would be faster. She took great care of me and I was able to eat my meal in a leisurely manner before heading out the door. Also, the chef was not skimpy on the feta cheese. Delish!

Holiday Feast all in this box

Holiday feast to take home for our Thanksgiving gathering of eight guests. First of all I phoned in the order the Saturday before our dinner Nate took my order and was so pleasant . So On Wednesday we picked up our feast the lady that helped was very nice and her presentation of the feast was amazing going over all what was included in the feast and the instructions on how to reheat . The nice box that everything came in was surprisingly perfect . The meal was really good and our guests thought what a great deal on such feast ! We will be ordering our next holiday feast from Mimi's it makes it convenient when we are so busy in this world we live in today so we are able to enjoy a nice meal with family and not stress over it

Cozy restaurant with great servers! I was blessed to have Vianca. She gave me great recommendations and was honest about the menu items. She made the experience great and my food was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back and bringing some of my coworkers.

What you need to do is look at the photos below and ask yourself if you have ever seen this establishment. In Albuquerque. Within spitting distance of an Interstate Highway. We know most of our group has driven past it numerous times, but only one person said they might have been there many years ago. Where? Mimi's Cafe near the intersection of Jefferson and I-25. The easiest way to get there is to punch in the address into your GPS. We recommend you do so. Hard to find but worth it. A very small national chain with only 44 locations, Mimi's is stylized as a French bistro but also offers local cuisine. Our group loved the variety of foods you can see by clicking the trailing YouTube video link. Great service and enough ambiance - tchotchkes to have you walking the property and looking at it all. Highly recommended and we're comin' back (with our spouses). https://youtu.be/uMHCefbBaV8?si=TFnPyma1GQYyNrUJ

Well, I have to say that Mimi's has a fantastic and delicious Thanksgiving dinner deal. Great food, good portions (enough for leftovers) and good service. I was there with a big group and our waitress was very efficient, nice and provided good service. The area we were in was little crowded, and noisy but, the place was packed. Definitely a popular place to have a good homemade meal for the holiday!

Our Mimi's Cafes on the West Coast of FL have closed, so we were ecstatic to find one in our family's neighborhood in ABQ, NM! We ordered the bowls of corn chowder because they make THE BEST corn chowder. We have been hungry for it for years! No one comes close to their recipe. Inside is so much like the Mimi's Cafes in FL and California. We love the New Orleans, Louisiana, & Mardi Gras motif. The service is exceptional, and we were comfortably in our booth by the window. For dessert, I had the bread pudding. It was dense and a little dry. The sauce helped. Ice cream would have added made it less dry, too. Husband had another bowl of corn chowder. He LOVED it!

The parking is a bit crazy, they do have someone trying to help direct traffic through the parking lot. If you don't want to brave that though, there's plenty of street parking. It's busy but there's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and the turnover pace is pretty good. Things can be a bit loud if you hit the crowded times, but really it's a popular spot for good reason. I got the sweet potato hash and it had the perfect mix of veggies and eggs and was cooked just right. I also tried one of their tea blends and it really hit the spot. The staff is all very friendly and helpful as well and the food comes out quickly. Anyway, great experience as always at the Grove!

I wanted to love The Grove Cafe & Market in Albuquerque, but ultimately, the experience left a lot…read moreto be desired. To start with the positive: the space itself is really cool. It has a modern, bright, aesthetic vibe with marble-style tables, clean decor, and a great atmosphere to sit and hang out. Visually, it checks all the boxes for a trendy brunch spot. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful and attentive to all guests. Unfortunately, the food and value simply don't match the ambiance. We ordered two straightforward breakfast plates and iced coffees, and the bill came out to around $40--which feels way too expensive for what actually ends up on your plate. The first dish was a basic breakfast sandwich on an English muffin served with a small side ramekin of kale salad. While the presentation was neat, the sandwich itself was fairly standard and underwhelming for the price tag. The second plate was a traditional breakfast layout featuring scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, jam, and the same small kale side. The eggs were cooked fine and the bacon was crisp, but there was nothing unique or memorable about the flavors to justify charging high-end prices for staple breakfast ingredients.  All in all, while the aesthetic and atmosphere are definitely inviting, paying $40 for two plain breakfast plates leaves a sour taste. If you're looking for an impressive food experience to match the high price point, you might end up

The person who…read moreanswered was incredibly helpful and patiently explained that only the name had changed, which I appreciated. For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Chicken & Waffles were the highlight of the meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd happily return to explore more of the menu.

I had to pick between savory and sweet, and the menu is huge with lots of options plus build your own! I went for savory and got it with goat cheese and spinach (built my own). It was delightful. The blue corn is just a tinge sweet so was an interesting mix. The waffle is a decent size but is super filling and dense. I'll have to try some sweet waffles or some different waffle bases next time! That said there are lots of gluten free options as well, so if that's for you, then don't hesitate to come check it out you won't be disappointed. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though in general the place is small-ish and can get crowded during busy times. Parking is also a bit of an adventure, but so is anywhere in that area. The staff is super friendly as well. All in all a great experience and I will be back. I can't believe it took me so long to get here in the first place!

Oof. Swing and a hard miss for me…read more Ordered: -The Mimosa - waaaaaaaaaay too sweet. I actually couldn't finish it. I had to order a prosecco and combine it with the mimosa because it was way too much super sweet orange juice -The Cajun Lion's Mane - the hollandaise was absolutely way too sour. I mean...it was bad. Like, really bad. Not only was it just awful, but my entire meal was drowning in it. Next, the coconut crusted lion's mane was absolutely inedible. It tasted more like a different part of the lion, if you know what I mean. I just didn't eat it past two bites. The asparagus was inconsistent (some smaller mushy stalks and some large uncooked crunchy stalks). The toast would have been fine but the amount of pesto on it was atrocious. I scraped most of it off...I mean there was a MOUND of it. The egg was fine (opted for regular). All in all it was just a piece of toast with an egg DROWNING in sour vegan hollandaise and pesto with asparagus and an inedible fried mushroom thing. And to say 'thing' is even offensive to 'things.'
