May 21/2026 A group of us ladies went to celebrate two birhtdays. It is a nice hiden gem . Tucked away in a corner near the water and docks. The menu had a lot of shellfish and other stuff. So I asked if this would be an issue for me since have shellfish allergies. She said I can make sure that the cook knows and maybe cleans off a grill for you. So checked out menu found something yummy to have a chicken wrap with salad. Wow So delicious and huge too took a while to eat . Was once a great place to meet up with friends in Vancouver but the food has gone way downhill. We met for lunch an d I ordered a brisket sandwich . The brisket was so fatty it was inedible . Sent it back to the kitchen (a first for me) They sent back a new one but that one was mostly fat as well. It was hard to choose where to sit because they have three outdoor areas and two inside. All have a different view and vibe. This time it's inside next to the waiters station (not great due to smell of cleaning rags but easy to get attention). Service was attentive and friendly. We shared a main, the Moroccan Lamb Burger with Yam fries and they split into two plates. Very nice. It was very good with the right amount of spice. We both got a dessert. Mine the chocolate mousse made with avocado (very dense and rich). Partner got the key lime on coconut which didn't do it for me but was interesting albeit not a fresh lime flavour. Why is it impossible to find decent fish and chips in GVRD??? I went here last night and got the worst fish and chips in recent memory. I have never had Rockfish but I thought what can I lose? Really nice place to grab a burger and drinks with friends! It was a beautiful day with sunny weather so eating on the patio could be nice. The restaurant is a little secluded right next to the river. During a soccer *ahem* I mean "football" match, it's best to sit inside among the multitude of large screen TVs. It also helps there was a heat wave. I went here for a work dinner so there was a sizeable group of us. Service was slightly delayed...but totally understandable. We were looking for a place to have a nice small lunch. This place popped up and we were like, let's go try them. This was not a mistake, looked like we were going to a sleazy place when paying attention to the drive. But when we got closer, we realized we picked a popular locals place. We ordered the truffle fries, honey garlic wings and the wild mushroom flatbread. We were astounded by the presentation and flavor of everything! Wouldn't have changed anything. The food was absolutely delicious, we had great service, and the ambience is very casual. They've got outdoor seating when the weather is nice. They've got indoor seating when it is inclement. The price is reasonable for what you get. The food tasted fresh and it came to us hot. They have a large parking lot so plenty of room for you to get in there, and not walk too far. They have different themed nights like trivia nights, pizza night, taco night, whatever you want so I say check it out. You will not be disappointed. read more

I love the scenery of where the restaurant is and there is so much parking here! The food is good but a tad overpriced for what you get. I had the burger with salad and it was delicious but way too small for my preference. I was still hungry afterwards and my bill came to $25.50 after tips. Thank god no tax for now. Way overpriced for such little food. I probably won't be back as I do like bigger portions as I am a very athletic person that can eat lots. It had been years since i was here. Even though i just live within walking distance . The surprising think is they are still serving the same tasteless slop they pour out of a prepackaged bag and quickly microwave .i ordered their seafood linguine . It says shrimp salmon crab and cod .Well as soon as i got it i took inventory . It consisted of o e small pice of dry overcook salmon 4 shrimp some unidentifiable fish small pice .No Crab not even fake crab . When i told the owner its false advertising . Thursday 8 pm = trivia night. Trivia night was GREAT. So fun and well-organized. Milltown is in a really interesting location in this industrial area right around YVR. Plenty of parking. I heard they put out outdoor seating spaces in the summer with lights, which I can assume is very pretty. All of us in the group got burgers and they were fine. Nothing to be mind blown about. It was nice that we could modify the sides to truffle fries or yam fries with a small fee. I think of the all the burgers, the salmon burger was probably the best one there. This is one of those times I wish Yelp had more stars to give. The drive out to Milltown Bar and Grill is slightly sketch but when you round the last curve you see it was well worth the drive. The restaurant is on a little island and the views are beautiful. There's ample parking in the huge lot. They have a lot of outdoor picnic tables and covered outdoor seating. The service was great. The staff was friendly and our server was attentive. Now the best part...the food. We ordered the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were pretty good. The Battleship burger was so juicy and flavorful. It was also plated well. The star of the show was the Chicken Freighter Burger. The words I'm going to use aren't going to do it any justice, you'll have to try it yourself. The chicken breast was well seasoned and juicy. Sometimes I end up with a dry chicken breast but not here...it wasn't too thick or too thin and it was seared to perfection. The bacon was the perfect level of crispy. You know just crispy enough that you have to bite through it but not so crispy that it breaks into pieces in your mouth. The pale ale bbq sauce and the gouda cheese mixed together and made the most mouthwatering flavor I've ever had on a chicken sandwich. Seriously you gotta try it for yourself. Located on what feels like a little island escape from the city, but in reality accessible only from Vancouver but the actual address is in Richmond, Milltown boasts some calming beautiful views along the Fraser River, in a spacious red rustic building. We came on a Sunday evening to watch the Seahawks play but unfortunately had not made a reservation so tip #1: MAKE A RESERVATION on weekends and probably Friday night. I have only eaten here about 2-3 times since this place opened, but have attempted to come probably 5-6 times but this place is always packed! It is convenient located at the very bottom of the Arbutus Greenway so in the summer expect to see many people waiting outside on their bikes to have a cold beer and relaxing scenery. I got the Tug Boat burger which was the mushroom beef burger and it was juicy and delicious. I got fries and asked for some mayo and combined it with the extra horseradish we ordered from the next meal listed below and it was divine! And since we were there on the Sunday, they had a prime rib dinner with Yorkshire pudding, vegetables and mashed potatoes. Horseradish is extra and you can add an extra Yorkshire pudding for a few bucks. Unfortunately... My fiancé got his favourite item: Beef Dip. It was awful. It was supposedly on a fresh baked bread but it literally was like one of those store bought frozen bread "Things" you throw into the oven. It was flat, cold and pale and not like a crusty delicious roll. It was not memorable for any right reason. Great beer choices and of course a variety of cocktails and wine. Off the beaten path, this is a fantastic destination whether you get her by car, bike or boat. They have a great full service picnic table area right by the water, covered patio and dine in restaurant. The servers here are also lovely. I came here with my family of 9 and they were happy to accommodate to include a baby as well. I just called ahead to reserve a large table. We came for the prime rib Sunday special and the portion was huge! And the horseradish was no push over. One of the strongest ones I have had in awhile. Our cuts were perfect. One of our new favorites. A popular bar located in Vancouver, but technically a part of Richmond. This place is a little off the beaten path as you need to access it by driving around a marina. But, you can't miss it due to the bright red color. At the entrance, the hostess will check your COVID-19 vaccination card. You will be told what seating options are available; in the summer, you can opt for picnic benches by the water. We prefer the booths, which are more comfortable than the bar stools or the chairs at the tables. The menu is accessed via QR code, but paper menus are available upon request. Waitress/servers appear to be high school students, and they often are too busy mingling with each other to take notice of patrons. On several occasions, we'd have to flag someone down as the waitress/servers did not make the rounds, even though there were more staff than customers. When you do eventually get someone's attention, and place your order, the food doesn't take long to arrive. We always order one of the salads. Our favorite is the "Gangway Chicken Salad" which features candied pecans, goats cheese and an amazing honey-lime vinaigrette. It is sweet and refreshing. Our daughter will order one of the kid-sized pizzas which are so large, they could feed an adult. Their chicken wings are good, but we've only tried the hot and honey garlic flavours; sweet Thai and salt/pepper are the two other flavours offered. Wings are smaller and drier than I'd prefer, but acceptable. The burgers here are amazing, and HUGE. The Battleship and Tug Boat burgers are sure to please, and rival those offered at White Spot and others. While the burgers and pizza are fair values, the best bang-for-the-buck is the $20 Sunday Prime Rib Special: an 8-oz prime rib with mashed potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and vegetables. Sadly, there is a surcharge for horseradish (30 cents). Is it as good as prime rib at the Keg? Close, but 2/3 the cost. We've also tried the full rack of pork ribs, steak frites, Jambalaya and Pistachio Striped Bass. Everything is competitively priced, and good if not great. Go on a weekday evening if you want to avoid lineups. But, it is worth the wait to get in. read more

Drove up from Seattle for the weekend. Checked in to the hotel then did some shopping and hit a few markets. It was a long day and we were both tired. Decided on the Milltown for dinner. GPS got us close so make sure you look at a map first! We were seated quickly and ordered drinks and food. All I wanted was a cheeseburger, the waitress mentioned the Milltown burger (I think that's what it was), assuming it was just a plain cheeseburger I said sure. I have food sensitivities and didn't realize the burger had house sauce on it, so when it came out i was pretty disappointed to see sauce. It was really noone's fault but my own. A different waitress came over and asked if everything was okay. I asked what was in the house sauce and sure enough there was an ingredient I need to stay away from. If I wasn't going to be in the car all day the next day I would have gone ahead and eaten it but the waitress (didn't catch her name but she was Amazing, asian lady) talked with the manager and said they would make a new one and assured me everything was good. I felt so bad. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be sure to come back here as they took care of me and made me feel better about my lack of attention. Thank you Milltown crew! read more

Sunday's call for prime rib. Thankfully, Milltown Bar and Grill has us covered! Not part of most people's commutes, Milltown is found in a little known part of Richmond that can only be accessed by a single road out of the Marpole area of Vancouver. The area around the shop is beautiful and picturesque. The place was super busy at 530 on a Sunday evening. Being the first week of the NFL season probably contributed that as well. Our wait for a table of four was about five to ten minutes. Staff was buzzing around, but every table seemed to get taken care of without too much of concern. There is both indoor and outdoor seating available. The prime rib special is popular. It was at every table and comes with 8oz of prime rib, seasonal veggies, mashed potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and gravy. A beverage order is required to take advantage of their prime rib special, but it doesn't not need to be alcoholic. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but would have preferred the yorkshire pudding and gravy to be hotter when served. I can imagine it tasting better if it were freshly out the oven. My only wish is that they'd let you buy a larger cut for folks like me with bigger appetites. However, I suppose they were doing me a favour by not allowing me to over-eat. Would I return? For sure. It's a decent deal in and I'm curious to try some of their other dishes. read more

Been here quite a few times. Don't get me wrong, I love the location, I love the view and I love the post-Covid outdoor seating areas. Food's not bad either, so I will visit again...There are just somethings I wish they'd improve on. I'm just going to rate it mostly on my last experience here. In terms of food, my Battleship Burger's flavour was good, but nobody likes a soggy bottom, that just takes away from the whole burger experience and my yam fries was too salty. The prime rib my sister ordered was "well done" instead of medium rare like she asked for. I'm not sure if it's because we were seated outside and only 1 girl was serving everyone outside. But it was hard to get any service. It's not terrible service, just not great. For example, at first before we even settled down they kept coming back to ask us if we wanted anything to drink. No menu was offered until we asked for it and they expected us to just know there's a QR code on the table to scan for a menu without explaining anything. (We do, but at least point it out or make an effort to explain?). You might ask for hot water or a coffee refill, and it takes 20 minutes to get it. Utensils were never given to us until we asked for it. I'm hoping this is a one off food and service experience, cause I used to really like this place pre-Covid. And honestly, food's still pretty darn good despite what I mentioned. And normally, service was stellar. And if you have younger kids, sitting outside is great for them to view all the different modes of transportation. It keeps them nicely occupied and not glued to the screen all the time. read more

My salad was absolutely delightfully delicious. The miso vinaigrette was the soul of the dish. It brings life to all the mixed greens, oranges, watermelon radish, carrots, avocado and quinoa. The yellowfin tuna was also very yummy! Even though it's a salad dish, it is filling if you're not too hungry. My friend's medium rare New York steak was well seasoned and flavourful on every bite of its tenderness. Yum yum! The fries were crispy on the outside to my liking. Even though we were kinda full after the main course, my friend raved about the mini doughnuts, especially the gingery dipping sauce, so we had to order the dessert. The sauce had a hint of ginger yet not spicy or anything like that. It elevates the taste of these doughy sweets with a thin crusty outer layer. The server introduced their daily dessert creation, banana xango. It was very appealing just by its descriptions. Deep fried roll with banana, cinnamon, and brown sugar. Served with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel. So so delicious! They take reservation for a party of 6 or more. I went on a Saturday around 6ish. We only waited for a few minutes for a table for two. The host, the server and expediter we had were very friendly. There are plenty of free parking. I have waited to write this review as this has been a favourite of ours for many years, but the last 4 times we have left with a comment to ourselves - remind me not to order that again. On the list, Prime Rib, Turkey sandwich, Eggs Benedict (the worst I have ever had anywhere) and last night our bill was over $130 for three of us. Only one of us had a drink. The reason was that we had to order more food as the portions (fries specifically) were so small. I really hope that management takes this as constructive, and fixes the food. They have a huge selection of seating if you want either indoors, indoor patio or outdoor patio along the riverside which is beautiful! The tugboat burger is a nice juicy beef patty with crispy onion straws and the chicken burger was not at all dry with bacon and their pale ale bbq sauce paired so well with the burger! So I'm not a huge fan of prime rib, I'll eat it once a year type thing, but my husband loves it! And after eating Milltown's version....I'm a major fan! This is amazing. They do a special on Sunday night for pick up, you need to order by a Friday morning. Two prime rib dinners with Yorkshire pudding, garlic mash, gravy and veg with sugar doubghnuts for dessert, $35!! The prime rib is perfectly cooked, tender, full of flavour and if you like a lot of marbled fat, this is for you. The gravy was thick and full of peppercorn beef flavour and the mash is garlic and super creamy. The asparagus was cooked just perfect, it still had a nice crunchy bite, which I love. Milltown Bar and Grill's location is a bit hidden on a small peninsula on the border of Richmond and West Vancouver. We were a bit confused looking for it because you pass a car junk yard and lots of boats before reaching the right place! Even though we were at Milltown Bar and Grill on a Sunday evening, the restaurant was quite busy on the inside so we decided to sit on the heated patio. This wasn't too bad of a choice though because you could overlook the boats on the water. Unfortunately it was getting pretty dark by the time we got there so we missed the sunset but I can imagine it being gorgeous earlier in the day. The Kobe Rigatoni: There were some highlights like the house-made bolognaise and the globe of 5oz Kobe beef and pork, and low lights like the sauce. The pasta was cooked al dente and we were surprised as to how much meat was in the bowl. Not only was there a giant meatball but there was also plenty of ground pork from the bolognaise sauce. The house-made ricotta was extra soft and added richness without overwhelming the dish. Been here numerous times now, for prime rib Sunday, wing Wednesday or just for the view ( pre and post COVID ) The place offers two patios (one covered on North side) and a smaller one on south side which is open and faces the sun. They had recently added picnic tables along the grass area by the water. The picnic tables are good for the summer and longer days. My wife and I had come one time in late September evening and by the time we finished, it was dark as they don't have any lights by the picnic tables. If you do choose to eat at the picnic tables in the evening, bring extra clothes to keep warm. As a joke with my wife, I said we should have brought our headlamps so we can see what we're eating. The staff are quick and friendly. Before COVID, the place was always packed. Even now, it is busy and they're following protocol to space people out. If you want to do takeout for prime rib Sunday now, you actually have to order by Friday so that they don't run out for dine-in customers. read more

We found this place on our last day in Richmond and we were so glad to have done so! Relaxed atmosphere, great service, and delicious food.
