I live in Marina Del Rey but decided to go to the LA Fair this year so on my way to Pomona I decided to stop in Covina for breakfast. I had already been to most of the others in the area so decided to go with Millie's as I had never been there before. I would classify it as a country diner versus a retro diner. The menu has all sorts of American comfort food classics on it, and few elevated breakfast dishes. Inside is quite large with many different seating options including booths, tables, and counter. Our server was very polite and he mentioned that he was just about to have his seven year anniversary so it's nice to see that this restaurant has a lot of regulars. Service is also really fast, our food came out shortly after ordering it. Parking is also very easy because there is a large free parking lot attached right out front. The food itself was just OK, definitely not bad, but definitely not as good as some breakfast spots here in Santa Monica or MDR. For my meal I chose the California Avocado Omelette and thought it was pretty good, but felt the protein amount was minimal. It's not quite as hardy nor do they have as large portions as some other places close by but I still enjoyed it. I think the pricing was fair and I would stop in again if I'm in the area, although I have had better breakfasts in the Eastern Los Angeles area.

California omelette: I highly recommend, it was so good!

This place is always busy so we usually don't have time to dine here. We went on a Monday and it wasn't too busy, steady customers but the service was quick and our coffee was never empty! The food was delicious and so glad we decided to eat here. The restaurant was also very clean.

Millies is a home away from home. The staff treat you so warmly and the food always tastes like it was made with love, because it is! The ambiance is cozy diner style!

What a pleasant surprise to our day. I was expecting this place to be like Dennys, but it felt down home. When we pulled up my wife said surely these cars can't all be for the restaurant, but they were. The place was pretty well packed at 10 AM on a Thursday. Personally, I loved the interior decor. It was Christmas decor and a slice of Americana. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We both enjoyed our meals. Portions were good. The biscuit and gravy were better than average. Bacon was a bit undercooked for my preference. My wife loved the machaca. The home fries were quite good as were the refried beans.

Cornbread with corn! Butter was creamy.

It's been a long time since we come to Millie's, we almost forgot it exists. The place is so dated but it's kinda comforting too... like home. The table where we sat was the brightest spot with good lighting which I appreciate. Server was good. Food was great. I have the meatloaf. Flavorful. My husband has the fried chicken... that's A LOT of fried chicken. A bit too dry on the chicken thigh. Cornbread was warm and delicious. Nice to have actual corn in the cornbread. Perfect timing that tonight was also the Christmas parade, so after dinner we walked a few blocks to watch the parade. It would be nice if corporate or the owner gave funding to update the place. Everything was beyond worn.

I love the place, feels like an old American movie. The club sandwich I got was really delicious and the chocolate milkshake! Omg! Delishhhhhh, not big fan of the ny cheesecake. Our server was really kind.

Classic diner for ya. Places wasn't too packed and service was tip top. I guess the one bad thing is no coke only Pepsi haha. But still good grub! I got a bow of chili and turkey dinner. The chilis was great diner chili and the turkey dinner was just as expected. Hit the spot and really stuck to my ribs if ya get me. Lots of parking and plenty of indoor seating. There is also a breakfast bar if you don't feel like being seated.

Reminds you of an old cabin in the snow from the outside in. There was no long line, no crowds on this particular evening. The fact that you can throw your peanut shells on the floor, it is fun! I ordered the Angus ribeye steak. She ordered a baked potato. She also ordered a spike Shirley Temple. The food and drinks are amazingly delicious. I ate the two salads, steak and the rice pilaf. There was enough leftover to take home for the next day. Steak was cooked perfect, nothing like a ribeye cooked to perfection. If you are looking for a cheap meal, this is not the place for you. Service was quick and efficient. Totally professional, and the bartender was kind and considerate. I absolutely love coming to this place. It has been a staple in my life since childhood. A group of us went on a Saturday night. We were able to find parking and get a table upon entering. The place was really big and we got a good table away from some of the crowds. The waitress was prompt in getting our drink orders. As I looked over the menu there was a lot of steak and seafood dinners. After all, it is a steakhouse. I am unable to eat either and have to look for either pork or chicken on menus. There weren't a lot of choices for chicken and nothing for pork. I was able to find something that would fit my restrictions. The cheesy bread and coleslaw slaw came next. Hmm, everyone at the table seemed to know this part and were excited when it was brought to the table. Again, it wasn't my style of eating but everyone at the table enjoyed this. We ordered a couple of rounds of drinks which seemed to be the best part. My compliments to the bartender! The main entree was next. I have to admit that the baked potatoes are baked for hours in the foil wrap. Nobody does baked potatoes like this anymore! The chicken dinner was good and it filled me up. The meal was complete and I didn't have room for dessert. I was even able to bring home leftovers. Not a bad place to bring the kids and family when you want a decent steak meal without killing your budget.

Not very friendly and not really acknowledging the people that were standing waiting to be seated. Finally got a table, gave us menus and then 15 minutes go by and they haven't taken our order for drinks. As I look around there were 4 tables that had been seated, as well and no drink orders. We all waited about the same amount of time to get our drink orders. This unfortunately is why i took off 2 stars. To me, this unacceptable. After being seated and food came out, no one checked in until I needed a box and to pay. Did not feel welcomed and /or appreciated that I was supporting a small local business. Food- Brisket without the BBQ didn't have enough flavor. These types of meat don't need a hype man- the BBQ sauce. They need to be good on their own. Buuut Meat was tender. I read that their sausage is not great it's quite dry so I skipped it, my son had ordered ribs so I was going to steal from him, so I decided to get chicken- dark meat options. Chicken was very tasty, juicy and tender. It was the star of the dinner plate!!! Whaat!!! Their coleslaw- loved how everything was chopped nice and consistent- loved the Julienned green apples- again missing seasoning. DINNER ROLLS- Soooo fucken dry and not warmed up. I expect that level of hardness on my rolls when they are about to expire. Warm them up put them in a basket and give me butter. Such a small - perhaps minute action- but it was a huge miss. Other patrons were also commenting how bad the rolls were. We even joked, "death by dinner roll! " LOL. Cornbread- small portion but packed with flavor. I would say ease up on the Honey. I want to taste the corn bread too. It's unfortunate, I didn't have the experience others have had. Most likely not going to add it to my new restaurant rotation. There are other better options with better customer service.

If on a tight budget, the Good Company (Covina) is a prime location for casual drinking or hangout. It's food is not bad, but you can taste its affordability. I arrived on Saturday (around 5:40PM). Customers walk to the counter and order. Staff (Omar) is friendly and hardworking. He's seen constantly moving and interacting with guests. My orders arrived quickly. The Cheeseburger Bun was ready in 5 minutes and 36 seconds. The Matcha Berry Affogato arrived at my table in 9 minutes and 20 seconds. The food's presentation is memorable. The Cheeseburger Bun ($6) includes wagyu ground beef, melted American cheese, thinly sliced pickle, and fried thin onion slivers. Eating it with the white bun reminded me of sloppy joe in a soft taco. This very wet, mushy meal is cheesy and oily. Still, it's filling and cheesy with a very affordable price-point. The Matcha Berry Affogato ($6) is a scoop of ice cream swimming in a lake of liquid matcha. The flavors are decent but not memorable. The ice cream was chill and not overly sweet. Unfortunately, the liquid matcha arrived almost lukewarm. It would have been much more refreshing if the entire dish came cold. The presentation is eye-catching, but it lacked any real taste. Still, it's a very affordable experience. Concerning ambiance, The Good Company (Covina) performs extremely well. The location is very clean and comfortable with upbeat & fun music. There's also one flatscreen tv in the corner with closed captioning english subtitles. The location is well-ventilated, and the furniture all look very new and well-maintained. Even though the location is small, the colors and decor make it feel spacious and comfortable. Overall, The Good Company (Covina) is a good, budget hangout location.
