Pistachio latte (amazing) plus lavender lemonade (good but plain is better)
David C.

To say this place is popular would almost be an understatement. How can a breakfast place be this packed on a weekday at 10:30 AM?! I literally got the last seat in the joint, and it's not a small place, with indoor and outdoor seating. Due to the popularity, finding parking is a bit of a chore. They have a lot but it is obviously filled to capacity with people waiting in the aisles for someone to leave. Service was very friendly and attentive. They're busy, and thankfully they employ a rather large staff of servers and busboys. And the food? It's killer. I got the pistachio latte, which was amazing and almost comically large. I also got the lavender lemonade, which is just freshly made lemonade with a lavender syrup poured in, sitting sadly on the bottom. Just stick with regular lemonade. I ordered the blueberry French toast, a side of bacon, and some hash browns - which I think they only have on weekdays. The waitress was very helpful and nice and pointed out I should get the combo with two eggs for less money. I did, even though I don't eat eggs, and took a couple cooked over hard home for my son. They looked good. The blueberry French toast was terrific. Excellent flavor, great texture, and the right balance so it wasn't too sweet overall with the syrup. The bacon was great, but it's usually hard to screw up bacon unless the stuff has gone bad. The hash browns were the only disappointment. They look good, but they are a little greasy and not very well seasoned. They're basically too bland. Still, this is one of the best breakfasts I've had in the San Gabriel Valley and around Pasadena. I can see why it's so busy, and I will definitely be back. Recommended. Just go!

Maynard Special

We got lucky and came on Friday before 11:00 am. There was no wait indoors and plenty of tables outside. We ordered right away and it came out pretty quickly. I had the Maynard's Special which was eggs scrambled with toasted pine nuts, spinach and goat cheese. I added mushrooms and it was excellent. I loved the pine nuts. it was a great addition to the eggs and spinach. The onions on top came from my daughter who didn't care for them and added it to my plate.

Vegan Famous breakfast burrito

I came here when in the area and craving a savory breakfast. Thankfully, they have an array of options with a vegan menu composed of everything from breakfast burritos to waffles and pancakes. When I stepped inside, I was greeted right away by the very friendly staff. I was seated right by the window where I was able to people watch. I was so happy they it was nice and cool inside, as it was sweltering hot outside! They were very fast when taking my order. I ordered the vegan famous breakfast burrito with the plant based Mexican chipotle sausage. It was just as delicious as the menu described it to be. The burrito was fully loaded with tofu eggs, which were crumbly and salted, some buttery avocado slices, crispy tater tots that were fried to perfection, and delectable and melty vegan cheese. The Mexican chipotle sausage worked so well in the burrito, adding a nice savory and meaty flavor while also adding some heat to the dish. I felt so great after eating it and it was very filling. The ambiance here was lovely and it was fun, upbeat and cheery. The seating was so comfortable and I felt relaxed and at ease while dining here. I loved the promptness and attention to detail. I didn't end up getting coffee, as I already drank 2 cups before coming here and it was barely noon. But the smell of espresso had me drooling and making me wish I could stomach a third cup! But it gives me a reason to return! Along with so many other enticing vegan dishes! Parking was super easy as I found a spot on the street right in front of the restaurant. But they also have a parking lot behind the restaurant with plenty of parking!

California Benedict, Country Fried Steak, and a side of bacon
Shirley W.

We came to have brunch on a Saturday afternoon and thank goodness they have this waitlist available. Put our name down close to 11am and it was it was 30-45 min wait. So we were able to kill time until then! Located next to Honey & Lavender, parking lot available in the back, not that small! Once seated, we got to order the California Benedicts and the Country Fried Steak. It actually didn't take too long for our order to arrive, which we were surprised they are very quick and efficient with service! Although, the food was very underwhelming. California Benedict was pretty basic, or just the bare minimum actually. It was okay, ingredients don't really stand out. My bf's country fried steak, he was disappointed that the steak didn't even look fried. He wasn't really a fan of his order lol. I thought the potatoes were pretty decent, although I wish they were cut smaller into like breakfast potatoes. They were so chunky, but also wish they could be fried more. Overall, I feel like we chose the wrong items from this place lol, but these were the items highlighted on the Yelp page? Maybe it didn't help that we were seated next to the kitchen or a cart full of dirty dishes bc I just kept smelling that as we were eating.

1/2 order French Toast
Flor M.

Highly recommend putting your name on the list as the wait time can be high, but it does go by fast. Kudos to the staff for all working together to really serve the customers. I was very impressed with the overall customer service. Now it makes sense why they have been in business for 100 years. The true test was trying out some basic dishes to see how good the food is. Pancake, 1/2 order of French toast, and of course a half an order of biscuits and gravy topped with scrambled eggs. The pancake was soft and fluffy. It was so good I really wanted to fold it up to eat as a taco, but I didn't want to be judged. It was so good that it left me wanting to risk all my manners. The French toast was excellent. Each bite was consistently delicious, well made and great flavor. The half order of biscuits and gravy paired with scrambled eggs is excellent. The biscuits were delicious, the gravy had a great rosemary taste, and the gravy is a bit on the thinner side. Personally it wasn't a deal breaker for me. It was still delicious. What would have made my simple meal perfect was coffee with creamer. They only serve half and half. Not a deal breaker but I prefer creamer giving it a true diner feel to it. Still giving 5 stars because the service and food was perfect. Thank you again! Definitely will be back!

First time trying Millie's. Was yummy. Wait times are definitely lengthy, so I'd recommend joining the online waitlist in advance. Lattes were tasty and the designs were really pretty. Friendly and fast service. A bit uncomfortable if you choose to sit outside, because there are a lot of guests standing and waiting to be seated, right next to the tables. Inside seating is a bit tight, due to the large crowds. There are an assortment of gluten free menu items to choose from as well, which is great. Overall, the food was good and it was a nice dining experience.

We sat outside on the patio with our dog. The weather was great. I ordered some turkey bacon for my dog and they put it in a Togo container which was so considerate.

8/3/26 Yep, the banana walnut pancakes are pretty good coz it's cooked in WITH the batter (not just on top)

8/3/26 Decent service, good food, mom n pop type of feel & ambiance in the heart of Pasadena. Indoor & outdoor seating available, dine-in & to-gos. Parking, street, free. Had this bookmarked & noticed that a few Yelp Friends have left their reviews on here. It looks like that hometown feel type of shop but the experience today was NOT that. Service was polite but not quite that welcoming that you would feel at a mom n pops shop. It's too bad coz if it were, we would frequent this diner/cafe. Most places that we're regulars at, we feel valued as patrons and are welcomed like family. I find less and less places have this kind of atmosphere. We ordered breakfast staples; Hubby ordered a machaca combo with flour tortillas & black beans, I opted for the (2 large!) banana walnut pancakes combo with chicken apple sausage, potatoes & over medium eggs. Our food arrived timely, hot and good presentation. Hubby said the machaca was decent because having had his fair share of machaca, these passed. My pancakes were huge! Flavor was good, as the banana slices & walnuts were cooked in, not just placed on top like most places. Macadamias would've been a better pairing though. The chicken apple sausage was flavorful & eggs were cooked as requested. Noise level was somewhat loud with all the clanging as tables were cleaned/bussed around us. Overall a decent experience for our first time visit, as mentioned, if the service was more thoughtful & welcoming, it would've made the difference from a 3 star to perhaps a 4 or a 5 star. Food for thought.

Went on a very grueling hike, so we came to Millie's Cafe for a well-earned reward of a meal! My mind had been thinking of a breakfast burrito for hours, so naturally I ended up order the Famous Breakfast Burrito with my choice of meat beating Sausage Link. The burrito was really well-constructed. Very well balanced between the eggs and crispy tater tots! Was also a bit bemused that they didn't have hash browns on the weekend, but ordered some tasty Rosemary Potatoes instead. Staff here were great. Really nice to us even though the restaurant was about to wrap up for the day. Definitely worth the visit, need to check out some of the other menu items.

I was afraid there was going to be a long wait, but I went on a Friday morning & there was no line!! I loved the lemon ricotta pancakes!!! I'd probably return again to try other things on their menu! All of the employees were so kind as well! FEATURED Lemon Ricotta Pancake Breakfast Combo ($24) Huevos a la Mexicana ($20) Chilaquiles ($19) -- Plus added $7 for Machaca Beef even though the menu said it would be $4

Strawberry Banana Nutella Waffle

Revisited with my wife for another brunch occasion and we might be more impressed this time than our previous visit. It was packed as usual and we got on the Yelp waitlist about 15 minutes before arrival which is always recommended. After being seated, we placed our order quickly and our food came out more quickly than our previous visit which is a great sign to see especially since they're busy all the time. This time around, I got the California Omelet and my wife got the Maynard Scramble. Both were absolutely phenomenal, potatoes are perfectly cooked and eggs were perfect as well. Both dishes aren't too filling as well which is great. Portions that they hand out are always big so prepare for a big FEAST. Absolutely love coming to Millies, can't wait for the next visit to try other menu items.

Updating our review to 5 stars (: pistachio latte is delicious. The chilaquiles Benedict was also delicious. Service was quick and good. Will definitely be back

It took the waiter a while to take our orders which even if we wanted to order earlier there weren't any staff to wave down. We got our drinks first. I ordered the tulsi drink that only listed honey, Basil, and ginger. However I looked at it and thought it didn't look right. I have a lemon allergy and I usually check the description and never order anything that has lemon in it. So I thought the tea would be fine but it turns out they use a lemon tea for the base which I'm confused why it wasn't listed on the menu. I know I should be telling the waiter about my allergy but I usually don't have a problem when I check the listed ingredients and description. It not super sever so I forget to tell them sometimes but I just think it's a little weird to not have a main ingredient listed on the menu. After receiving our food, I was immediately disappointed since I got the sourdough chicken panini but it looked nothing like a panini. The fries also looked really sad and also not as full as other places that will just give a mountain of fries or a smaller plate to make it look more full. But these had multiple gaps where I could see the plate under it. Anyways, I was starving at this point so I picked it up and immediately thought wow this is really hard. And it was. It was so crunchy and dry. There was also no sauce. The bread part doesn't taste like sourdough either. The chicken tasted like plain boiled chicken and it was just covered in mozzarella and tomatoes and a bit of arugula on top. It was more similar to a pizza that was folded in half than a panini. In the end, since I was hungry I ate what I could but the chicken was so bad that I had to pick them out. And my friend who got the veggie burger barely around a few bites around the edges because it was way too salty for her. We both killed our water and we never got a refill and we didn't know what to do about our food cause the waiter never came to check on us. Finally he came and asked if we wanted a box and we said no it was way too salty and he just said oh and left. Then he came back with our check and we really sat there and felt so bad. We were still hungry but we could eat the food and we just didn't feel happy paying for something we forced bites of cause we were hungry. We told another staff, a kind lady and she gave us a 15% discount and when our waiter came back we told him about the discount and he made a comment like oh I was going to do that and we were like no you would've before when we told you it was salty. We both left feeling bad and hungry and writing about how we felt right now just sounds so sad.

The ice cream itself was plain vanilla soft serve, but when sandwiched by two entire chocolate chip cookies, I think the sweetness can be overpowering. Keep in mind that it also melts very fast (since it has the consistency of soft serve) and this makes it hard to keep the whole sandwich in shape. I said yes and was impressed by that offer. Why? This young man understood that I had ordered only the beef roll, which is a dry dish. Having a little warm broth on the side made it much easier and more enjoyable to eat. I had water, though, but I personally never drink water before or after my meal, so the broth was definitely a perfect complement to the beef roll. This is the first time in my Noodle Street eating history that I've been offered something simple to enhance my dining experience. A small gesture that I think is worth mentioning, as it showed that he was attentive and had very good common sense when it comes to customer service. Thumbs up to him, and an extra star from me for this location.

Nothing beats a Thai food takeout! It is truly the ultimate comfort meal for me, and this takeout…read moreorder from Miya made my husband and I really happy we decided to try somewhere new. We got the pad see ew with tofu, veggie spring rolls, "beef" basil with green beans, and a Thai tea with coconut milk. Everything was comforting, flavorful, and had that real home-cooked feeling to it. Just really delicious food that you want to keep eating. The best surprise was finding out that Tuesdays are all plant-based. We had no idea when we ordered, and honestly, what a cool thing to do! The "beef" basil with green beans was so good, and the whole meal left us excited to come back and try more. There's something really special about finding a true neighborhood spot like this. We love this city and love being able to support local businesses. Miya is exactly the kind of place we want to see thrive. We will definitely be coming back! I can't wait to dine in as well. The restaurant is so cozy and aesthetic pleasing and all of the staff we briefly interacted with for the pick-up order were so warm and friendly!!

I've visited Miya twice now and I can say it's a genuine go to neighborhood food spot…read more We got the Khao Soi Chicken, Basil Crispy Pork, and Pad Siew. We got the Yellow Curry Chicken, Thai Tea, and Mango Sticky rice as well (just not in the photos) and those were also a staple. All were phenomenal and had such rich flavor. The Khao Soi Chicken was truly the star of the restaurant and I would definitely recommend this dish for anyone interested in trying thai cuisine. The service is always friendly and the ambiance is very warm and pleasant. It's a very humble and family/neighborhood oriented space. I would recommend to come visit them early (they open at 11:30) since people do line up to eat here. It's a little small in the main area but they do have another dining area on the other side so seating is in fact plenty! There is street parking right out front but if there's none, not to worry there's a lot of parking in the neighborhood so the walk over is relatively short. We love Miya and can't wait to try their other dishes!

Came by this spot in Pasadena randomly and was veryyy plesantly surprised. The location is kinda…read moreweird, but the food is soo amzazing. Never had this type of fast-casual meditteranian but it was sooo good. I think this meal is pretty healthy too (from what they say), macro friendly, so no need to worry about being fat. FOOD: Price: Pretty average slightly more expensive ~$15 - $20 per dish Quarter Plate (Dark Meat) - $18.5 (10/10) The first thought was that the dish looked small, with 2 drums and a variety of sides. But! I was actually very full by the end and didnt even finish. I personally LOVE how many different sides are included, so you can make a mini sandwich with the pita for every bite. Every part of this dish was amazing, from the tender drums to the picked vegetables and really good hummus. The wedge of lettuce was actually really good, well seasoned with dressing, and very crunchy. This is such a satisfying meal tbh and the sauces were amazing too. Schmatyzy Potatoes - $7.75 (10/10) These were the best potatoes Ive ever tried holy moly. The potatoes were smashed but inside was so soft and outside was crunchy. BUT what makes the potatoes SOOO good is the GARLIC SAUCE it comes with. IDK HOW THEY MAKE IT but it was AMAZING. This is a MUst get. Fennel Tzatziki Side - $5.75 (10/10) Im a whore for tzatziki and this tzaziki was very well made. Long strips of cucumber, but the texture was great for pairing with the potatoes and the plate. Some tzatzikis from other restaraunts can be questionable but this is a 10/19 tzatziki. Hibiscus Cooler - $5 (0/10) Ts was not good lol VIBES: AMAZING service. The people in the front are ALWAYS so friendly. I came here twice and this kind black gentleman helped me out with PURE JOY. Oh I wish I loved my job as much as he does. He made this experience very fun though, he came up with our table with a TADAAA!! The parking here can be rough tho, no lot and only street parking. The lot is a bit away i tink but its not tooo bad. The restaurant was pretty empty during lunch time, so no wait and food came out quick too. I definetely come back here and refer all my freinds hehe

I loved the jazzy music playing in the background, which made the vibe perfect. Our server, Julian, was incredibly welcoming and gave us amazing customer service. The food was fresh and delicious. I ordered the dark meat rotisserie chicken quarter plate with hummus, a wedge salad, pickles, pita, and a side of avocado. The chili oil and garlic sauce added great flavor. My friend really enjoyed her big green salad, packed with fresh market greens, veggies, and a miso poppy dressing, along with a side of rich schmaltzy potatoes. We had a wonderful time catching up over a fantastic meal. I will definitely be back!
