The cutest family owned restaurant. I was in the local area and wanted to try something by new . I stumbled upon the reviews while in search for dinner to take on the way home. It's owned and operated by one of the sweetest couple. The food took a bit but it was well worth the wait since the food was made fresh upon ordering . We ordered lumpia, the loco moco and the chicken Katsu. The ambiance reminded me of when I was back in Hawaii. The food was great and the service was friendly . The food was pretty gross. Lumpia was alright but had a weird chemical taste to it. I also ordered a grilled teriyaki chicken plate that was awful. The chicken was breaded, not grilled for some reason (like chicken katsu) and then slathered in teriyaki sauce. All mushy. I have been coming here for years, as it is one Beaumont's hidden gems and some of the best food in the area. I would go as far as tonsay this is the best Filipino food in the IE. I found this place back when I was still eating pork, and the signature dish here is Pork Belly Fried Rice. The crispy texture coupled with that fluffy rice and a bit of chili oil is heavenly. But rivaling that dish is the Kalbi Short Ribs as well. Sweet and juicy and tender, with the right amount of char. The shrimp with glass noodles OR the pancit is fantastic. The owners are some of Beaumont's best people; warm, inviting, hospitable. Its like eating at your Filipino Grandmas house. Mama San is super nice and will come out and talk to me and my family if she is able. When she found out I wasn't coming in as much because of my diet/health, she refused to make me certain dishes that I like, and would only make me what she deemed a healthier option, which was a homemade Curry Chicken dish she improvised on the spot. they are always super nice to my children and always acknowledge and talk to them as well. Most items were really good, however, there was that chicken that dropped them down to 3 stars instead of 4. We tried a beef dish, lumpia, fried rice, and a chicken dish. All items were pretty good, and even the chicken was good, but, chicken shouldn't be mushy, and this one was. The outer breading turned into an oatmeal like texture. You could tell it was meant to be crunchy (at least I hope this was the case), but, we didn't get any ounce of crunch. Oatmeal chicken is not appetizing, haha! Will I be back? Yes.
