Their truck was bumping good music and getting the party going. I decided to try what they had. I tried their Pulled Pork Nachos. They were okay. The BBQ tasted good but the dish needed more of it. The pineapple slaw was a no go for me. I didn't see a single pineapple in the slaw and it lacked the flavor of so. I did enjoy their BBQ sauces. They had multiple options: Original, Smokey and Tennessee Red (which was my favorite)! I'm giving Blue Hog 4 stars because I'm reviewing the sauce and the sauce was the saving grace. If I was reviewing the BBQ overall it would have been lower.

I had a great burger, and my granddaughter had a meatball with pasta. I noticed that the entire group was able to eat together not staggered. The kitchen must have been working double time. We had the room behind the bar, lots of exposed brick and dark wood. A perfect place for our group to recharge before heading out to our 100 year old cars to finish our outing. The inside was beautifully done. This is a great option for some slightly more upscale food in a semi-casual atmosphere. We sat at the bar for probably close to 10 minutes before receiving any service, we were dangerously close to leaving when the bartender "came back from break". He did apologize, and did a decent job waiting on us after that--albeit a little slow. There was another worker (Nicole?) clearly carrying the team, who was waiting on all of the bar area tables and perhaps others in the restaurant as well--she was delightful when she ran our food out for the bartender. I was excited to see their extensive beer selection. I opted for a boulevard wheat (one of my absolute favorites!). We ordered a couple of appetizers to hold us over until the wedding dinner we were about to attend. The flatbread of the week was a white sauce base with sausage, prosciutto, and bacon. When it first came out, it looked underwhelming, but it was amazing! The crust on the bottom was beautifully browned, and the combination of flavors was perfect. We also ordered the spinach artichoke dip, which was just average I'd say--very heavy on the cream cheese, not a ton of gooey cheese. All-in-all I would likely try it again.

Super friendly staff and the place was BUSY (always a good sign). I could tell a lot of locals eat here because people seemed to know the employees, and one guy was even piecing together punch cards to score a discount . Inside there are tables, chairs, and even a little bar to sit at. I ordered the Cod Sub, the Buffalo Chicken Sub, and the Raspberry Chipotle Chicken Sandwich (mine without bacon because of a red meat allergy). While I waited, they offered me a glass of water which was a nice touch. The smell when I opened my food in the truck was AMAZING. I went straight for the Raspberry Chipotle Chicken Sandwich--grilled chicken, cheese, that sweet & tangy chipotle raspberry sauce, all on one of the freshest buns I've had in a long time. Juicy, flavorful, and came with fries that were seasoned just right. Honestly, I wish I had a side of that raspberry chipotle sauce just for the fries because the ones that caught extra sauce were SO good. The other two subs had to wait until I got home that night, but even a few hours later they held up. The Cod Sub was thick, flaky, and perfectly topped. The Buffalo Chicken Sub had good flavor without being overwhelming (and I'm kind of a spice wimp, so if I can handle it, it's definitely on the milder side). And can we talk about the bread? SO good. I don't know if they bake it in-house or get it from somewhere special, but it's not your standard cheap sandwich bread. It really makes the difference. Overall, I'm super impressed. Great food, great service, and clearly a local favorite. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in town--probably after my next camping trip. If you live in Washington and haven't tried this place yet, you're missing out. And if you're just passing through on your way to I-44, do yourself a favor and grab a sub to go.

They had the right crisp that a good wing should have when you take that initial bite. The meat was juicy and the flavor of the buffalo was on point. The subs had such good bread that we agreed that it must be made on site. Now if that is true or not, we do not know nor does it matter. But it is goooood. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. We will def be back next time we visit.

The cheddar cheese was piquant, the breading was herbed, and the ranch dressing served alongside was not the kind from the grocery store! My better half and myself split the large order of chicken wings with sauce on the side. The garlic Parmesan sauce reminded me of the stuff Papa John's gives you, with more viscosity. It was not my favorite. The sweet and spicy sauce was my husband's favorite, and I thought it was okay. The wings were fried crispy and still juicy in the middle. We also shared the Italian salad which was awesome: artichokes, red onions, provel, Parmesan, salami, and a red wine vinegar dressing. We devoured both.
