    Cuban

What a gem in Washington, MO! Open all day, we popped in for a late lunch at 2 PM. My mom ordered the Cuban which curiously was made with rye bread. She said it was surprisingly good and she didn't really detect much Ryebread flavor. I think that's a good thing because I would've asked for a different type of bread. Came with homemade chips and they were prepared very well. I ordered the honey habanero chicken wings and they were out of this world! Meaty and very flavorful with a kick, but not too spicy. We will definitely be back. Service was friendly and fast. I would make the drive out to Washington against n just for these wings! Yum! Service was excellent. There are local artists paintings on the walls for sale. They have a large dining area and another large bar area.

We recently took our first trip to Tilted Skillet on my birthday and we enjoyed our experience. I thought it was a cute, cozy place to have dinner. If anything it was a little too quiet at first (they don't play music or anything). I had a really yummy blackberry lemonade cocktail and my chicken course was delicious. My husband said his shrimp and grits were some of the best he's had!! Service was good!

You are going to LOVE this place! Washington, MO is really starting to make it hard to decide where to go for a fun, eventful lunch or dinner. Right when you walk in, the place is inviting with artwork from local artists for sale, stained glass and ornaments. Big windows overlooking the street with a location downtown, this is truly a delight to stop and dine at. The menu, is inventive and at least for lunch, very affordable! I got their Chicken Spin Sandwich and it was like nothing I have ever had, and their sidewinder fries were incredible. Their Diet Dr. Pepper was spot on and tasted better than most which is important. If ya know, ya know. Lastly, service was nothing short of perfect and it was like being down south.

Visited recently and was very impressed! Very cozy and inviting. Old brick exposed walls and wooden floors were beautiful. We enjoyed our appetizer and entrees as well. Our server was knowledgeable and offered great insight to our questions. Will definitely return!

Half of a smoked Reuben with a couple onion rings ! Delicious!

The pork chop and blueberry wheat beer were enjoyable. She had the shrimp po boy, which she says was tasty. We will return.

Surprisingly, a lot of places seemed to be closed on a Sunday, but this place was open. We walked in and had to seat ourselves. You could tell immediately that they were short staffed. There was one bartender and two waitresses. Both waitresses running around like crazy. None of the tables were cleared, we could hear them both complaining to one another and we heard several customers state they were unhappy with either their food or the service. One of the items (buttered penne) on the kids menus that we wanted to order for our son supposedly wasn't served that day, so right off the bat, I was a little disappointed. Their food all comes in those tin to go containers, which was a little odd. Everything seemed sort of dirty. I honestly didn't take any pics because I was just wanting to eat and go. The staff was nice - and by staff I mean the waitress - the bartender looked as inconvenienced as ever when we walked in - that was probably the only Positive - aside from getting to watch the trains go by.

The ravioli (a regional specialty) was crispy and came with a red sauce. I asked for my steak to be medium (and specifically said pink throughout). The "sautéed mushrooms" were from a can. There were almost no peppers. When I pointed out the overdone steak to the waitress, she said they get different cooks on the back and she said she would discount the bill (by $2) but did not offer to bring out a medium cooked steak. This was a while back. Hopefully the food quality has improved because the view is truly wonderful.
