Place was clean and welcoming by the staff which was nice. They have parking right outside which I was happy to see especially in the cold. Food came out and I was very pleased with the way the food looked. The burger came with a nacho cheese which I was surprised to see and taste. My only negative comment which is the burger didn't have any flavor far as salt or pepper. I tasted more the cheese than anything. But overall, it was still a decent place to have a burger. This place is straight out of my Gen X small town childhood. It's a Dad & Son instead of a Mom & Pop place.The inside is very clean with the blue and white color scheme so common in these places. We ordered a little bit of everything, and it was all good. First, the chicken sandwich was enormous! The hot ham and cheese isn't my thing, but my friend said it was excellent, and just what she wanted. Another friend got a double gooey cheeseburger. I took a bite -yum! I highly recommend it. I got a single mushroom and swiss with onion rings. I was in heaven! They are smash burgers, but they aren't thin, and seasoned perfectly, not too salty, and not bland either. My friend got a large fry. It was enormous. It easily could have been shared between three or four people. There is an extensive ice cream dessert list. There is a case of regular style ice cream and soft serve too. I opted for a kiddie dip cone, which is a small anywhere else. It brought back waves of nostalgia, and was so good. Someone else got a regular cone, but it was a LARGE. Everything was good, the prices were very reasonable, and the service was extremely friendly. I was not only a patron, but I worked here for 7 months. Peyton and Terrill are some of the best people you will ever want to meet, who really care about their customers. Having been on the inside, this Washington treasure is VERY well run and is clean and taken care of. The comfort foods and ice cream are awesome too! My favorite was the cookie dough ice cream in a waffle cone. Or a hot fudge milk shake with marshmallow and a little raspberry (don't knock it till you try it, it's like a campfire in your mouth!). For lunch or dinner, my favorite is the mushroom Swiss burger or grilled chicken sandwich. You want to try the cheese cubes too! Wonderful, sweet staff! It's a mix-in, similar to a DQ blizzard or a TD concrete. Service was really quick and all the young adults behind the counter were really friendly. They manage to get cookie dough chunks in every single bite. Absolute Pros! The ice cream is creamy, but a bit more on the soft-serve side. Not bad, just a texture difference for me. The small was a little more than the perfect amount, so I was tapping out with the last few bites. It was about $4, so very good value. Well worth the detour or if you're in the area. read more

Best hole in the wall hamburger joint I have found. Took the girlfriend's 10 year old kid because he has never had a gooey cheeseburger and I think I turned the kid from fast food to good food from here on out! People are great, dining room is small but it makes it eclectic so it is what it is. Place reminds me of the 50's hamburger joints that I see in movies. A great little place in Washington for a great little burger locally known as "The Gooey Cheeseburger". They use a cheesy sauce instead of slices and it makes for an amazing burger! The food is made-to-order, so it's always hot and fresh and I appreciate that. Fries are perfectly fried to a golden crisp (and they have curly fries too!) The only small gripe I have is that when you leave Dairy Delight, everyone can tell you were there because you usually smell like burgers. read more

I was disappointed today. There were 2 employees working but it was slow. The people in front of me waited at the counter so long that they decided to leave without placing their order. I got my favorite- the tropical cyclone. I started getting it here because Dairy QUEEN stopped putting pineapple at theirs. But when I got it at Dairy Delight there was no pineapple!! I guess they've taken it out. It was tasty but I miss the pineapple. Instead, there were lots of banana slices. I wish they'd play music. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop in the restaurant. In fact, I enjoy their gooey cheeseburger so much that I was having a hard time trying any other items on their menu. But, finally last week, I ordered a fish sandwich instead. (Well, I actually ordered 2, because I was extra hungry and was expecting McDonalds size fish sandwich). It was the best fish sandwich I have ever had at a restaurant. It was on a deli roll, not a hamburger bun and, of course, I ordered it with gooey cheese. I certainly didn't need 2 of them! The staff has always been very friendly -never had an issue with that. Sometimes the wait is a little long, but they make your food after you order it, so it's fresh and hot, so it's worth the wait! My only suggestion for them would be to serve sweet tea. They only have unsweetened and as any sweet tea drinker knows, it's just not the same adding sugar to a glass of cold tea. Keep up the good work Dairy Delight! read more

Might have good burgers but the place and some of the workers present themselves as very messy and not tidy. Needs a good scrubbing and maybe I'd try it again for the burgers, otherwise no.
