Miller's is my go-to-spot with my friends. What a great thing; finally Bergen county has a place that has great priced drinks and food. The food never is never disappointing, if you look hard enough you can even find things that are not on your normal "pub" menu that are still above average. I'd had given them a 4 star rating but I had a particularly rude encounter from one of the managers. About a month ago, during a rough week for a bunch of my friends the 3 of us sat outside on the patio. After receiving our food order and drinks, we sat there not seeing our waiter once for a 45 minute period. I went to find the manager just to simply be re-seated, I told him I wasn't looking for a refund or anything on the house. I also explained that I was a restaurant manager for years and it is not a big deal. I simply wanted service that was more attentive for my party of 3 trying to throw back a few beers. After seeming like he understood and explaining the waiter has had a bad couple of days he re-sat us. A new waiter was assigned and did great (not to my surprise). Only problem I had with this entire encounter was the nasty comments the manager had to say before he left. Although a nice gesture to bring us a round on the house he came over and said "I made these myself so hopefully you won't be too hard on me and have a problem with these beers" and then once more he pooped back over "well I hope all your drinks and experience will be up to YOUR standards now" with a nasty sarcastic smile and left. Listen I love this place, and I come here all the time. It is not a big deal that I request to be moved for quicker service on a day that is slow. I'm sure other waiters are looking for tables to flip. Managers should not be getting sarcastic or rude to customers especially ones who made it clear we weren't trying to get anything for free. This was just one of the managers at Millers (he may be new, i've never seen him before). I've had pleasant encounters with all the others so please don't take this as a general judgement on them all. As a side tip: To anyone going on a weekend, please be careful with your credit cards. I've had mine flopped and charged wrong and it was given back to another customer and I noticed I had his. This is also just a simple thing larger establishments go through. There are a lot of people running tabs, just keep track of what your purchasing and make sure to read your card once you get it handed back to you to make sure it is yours (if you're at the bar on a weekend). I will always be a regular here, and other than the lack of manners from their one manager, i'd tell you to expect to have a good night. I get it, the place is massive and there are a lot of things to worry about; just don't take it out on your customers. read more

It's a chain restaurant. They have a lot of beers on tap and the food is very consistent and reasonably priced. On my visit I had raw Blue Point oysters and a Chicken Cheesesteak. The oysters were nicely presented, but I did notice 2 things about them that could have been a lot better. First, their served on plastic. I guess this wouldn't bother me so much if I was near the ocean, but I wasn't. Also, they seemed like they weren't freshly shucked. They were beautiful looking and clean, but lacked flavor, which made me think there were factory shucked, and shipped in plastic wrap. The Chicken Cheesesteak and fries were good, but nothing to write home about. The service was friendly, somewhat reluctant, and I wouldn't say nearly as engaging as I would have hoped. I would go back if I was in the area and I needed something to eat. read more

Great atmosphere, great crowds, great bar. Not a place if you want a quiet dinner, but knowing this, we were in the mood for beers and bar food, and this place fit the bill. Their zingers are always amazing, and their nachos are perfectly layered with the right amount of cheese, taco meat, etc. Lots of TV's everywhere to watch whatever your sports hearts desires. During summer, outdoor seating (with TVs) is available. If you belong to the gym next door, you all have the will power and patience of a seminarian. Also, Tuesday - KIDS EAT FREE! read more

Last night was my first time coming to Miller's Ale House I didn't get a good look at the place because we came in on the side where it faces toys r us. We sat in the back by the fireplace which was annoying because that meant I had to sit on a stool which left me with nowhere to put my purse and jacket but hey it wasn't my birth day I don't get to pick where to sit. We ordered some drinks as we waited for more people to arrive and a few apps. Some of the appetizers we ordered were the cheeseburger flat bread that was really good with ground beef, onions, tomatoes and pickles, one dozen steamed clams with drawn butter for dipping, amazing sweet potato fries with a whipped cinnamon sugar butter, sweet chili wings and mild both excellent and large size, a pepperoni pizza that was really good as well, and spinach artichoke dip. Everything was really good and I can't wait to come back to try out some of their other apps. The drinks were flowing last night and our bill was extremely reasonable for the amount of alcohol we consumed. Over all a great place to go and hang out and grab some grub. read more

Went here to watch Monday Night Football, which is normally a safe bet at Miller's but not on our last visit. Food was good - had the grilled wings, pot stickers and fish n chips. The problem was with the drinks. I had four or five Bombay Gin and tonics throughout the full football game - hardly enough to invoke the terrible headache that lasted the entire following day. Although I ordered Bombay gin, I'm positive that they switched out the alcohol for a very cheap substitute read more

If you get food. Stick to the bar food. Ordered a steak medium rare and it came out well done. Not just my steak but others that ordered it as well. The wings here are good, definitely try them out. This isn't the place where I would go to have dinner. This is the place where I go to have a couple of beers during a game. However, this place get way too packed during football games so I would avoid it during such times unless you get there early. You will not be able to find a seat and will probably be breathing in some dudes smelly armpit. It gets uncomfortably packed. Friday and Saturday nights I would avoid as well unless you're into deafening fight pumping music and the crowd that follows. Don't bother with any of the mixed drinks, not worth the money. May as well drink juice. Cheap beer and good wings. Wander off that and good luck to you. read more

Well, this is the place where I go from last one month. ....lol. you guys wonder why? It's bc its awesome! !!!!!...I just love this place. It had great ambience, good, people, good n friendly staff, great service, bars, multi cultural people, etc etc. I been top this place with a friend about 2 years ago n always wanted to go back but never got chance. About one month ago me n my friend decided to visit something new n I thought of this place. OMG, its was the best decision I have ever made. Place is huge n unlike other place this place has big parking lot. Alleys finds parking anywheerr around. Plus this is bar n restUrant so you can wine n dine or you can just drink. They have big patio. read more

First time ever at Millers and I just can't wait to go back because the food was delicious and cheap. The Garlic Parm and hot wings were really good for 20 wings 20.99 not bad at all. My fiancé had a Blue Hawaian and for 5 bucks only it was amazing. They have great deals on their drinks. The restrooms were very clean as well which is rare when we talk about bar restaurants. Their dessert which we shared was the best dessert ever for 6 bucks it was called the captain jacks treasure it was so delicious I wanted to order another one lol. Amazing I can't wait to go back. read more

My expectations of a sports bar are to be able to watch whatever sporting event is on TV with good food and good beer without too much raucous. It was a relatively slow sports night when I came to visit: a few college games with the Yankees game being the dominant game. Still took 25 min when quoted a 10 min wait to get a table, and a sticky one at that. The menu is extensive - all your basic American fare for watching a game including a build-your-own burger for a pretty reasonable cost. I decided to go with the flight of seasonal beers, while my table mate opted for something off the happy hour menu. The food and drinks were basic. What made my experience not worth repeating was the service and the people! The bar had a human buffer all around it, and the place was so overpacked that the waitress only had time to check on us for our order and our bill. The section she was covering had to be at least 25 tables! As guests started drinking more, they allowed more people to just stand around and watch the screens. I had to say excuse me the entire way from my table to the door to get out. For a night that was quiet for games, it was already so busy. I don't even want to imagine what it would be like on a popular game night. read more

This place is great. Food has always been consistent in quality, service is good and a great atmosphere. Food and Drink specials after 10 PM always a plus. read more

I enjoyed EVERYTHING about this place. My sisters and I decided to take my mom here the Saturday before Mother's Day. We wanted to try something different and new and this place was perfect. The menu has a huge selection. The drink menu is also great! We saw a group of guys with two blue pitchers and asked the waiter what it was he said he was a blue long island for $10! We ended up getting a different kind but it was still $10 and it was worth every penny. We also had shots and 4-5 appeteizers and ended up spending no more than $60. We sat near the fire place which was perfect becuase it was raining and a little cold. I differently will be visting this place again. P.S the zingers flatbread is to die for read more

I had been here before and had a slightly better experience. My son ordered nachos, and they came out wrong. When they brought it back, 15 minutes later, with meat on the side, the meat tasted like dog meat. When I looked at bill, it said $9.40 COMP. Waiter, named CALI, had 0 personality, his hat backwards his pants falling down. I asked him what this was, and he said it was a comp. I thought, cool. When I added it up, though, there did not seem to be comp at all. When I asked him about it, he said the first nachos, the one they screwed up was a comp. So, basically, this shady waiter, was trying to pull a fast one. I asked for manager, who tried to cover for this misunderstanding, but we all know what a comp was, and this, CALI, knew exactly what it was. When you return, make sure to not order the nachos, and to make sure you get an honest waiter w a personality. Outside of that, fish sandwich was good, burger nice, lots of sports tvs. We ate outside on couch which was somewhat uncomfortable. Yes, Id return. But be sure to check your bill. read more

I've visited Miller's in Orlando, Florida and both located in Long Island and they've never disappointed. Location is spacious and clean. And the food/drinks are great and very decently priced. If you haven't tried them yet, they're definitely worth a visit. read more

I feel like it's either a hit or miss here. Food is typically always good but the service needs some help. I think a lot of the staff may be new because when I went last we most have asked the server for salad dressing like five times even though I had asked for it when we made it order. Not a bad place to go, I would definitely go back. read more

Ordered take out through grub hub but the order was cancelled so I called them and asked if I could place an order for pick at (this was not an option on grub hub). They were nice and took my order over the phone. Steak was delicious, burger was great, wings were good, fajitas were good but needed a bit more flavor, mozzarella sticks were meh, onion rings were good, cheese curds were good. Everything was packaged good but napkins and utensils would have been nice. Overall we really enjoyed the food and will order again - might even go for in restaurant eating one day. read more

Being in the restaurant business for over 30 years I realize that places need time to get it right after their grand opening. Maybe that's why my dinner was ice cold and the sweet potato fries I paid extra for were soggy and nasty. We sat at the bar and service was just ok. We had to always wait for a beer even though there were 6 people back there. One person appears to be the bar back which is great to have but you shouldn't take aay empty bottles and say nothing. Either leave the empties for the bartender to see or tell one of them that we need another dring. Very loud, very crowded and although their prices are really good I prefer the feel of a local pub "where evreybody knows your name" read more

I've been to Miller's Ale House about 8 times now. The beer selection is second to none, but the food quality is inconsistent. I liked the fish sandwich my first time out and was looking forward to having it again. I ordered it the next time in and the bun was dried out and the fish lacked taste. I did complain and the server agreed. They took it off my bill (kudos to them). The service is generally good although again I find it somewhat inconsistent. Weekend crowds are loud and can be rowdy, but the TV's make it awesome to watch your favorite team. I would go back, but it won't be a regular stop for me. read more

The good: * Good sports bar ambiance, good selection of beers. * TVs everywhere so you can catch the games. The bad: *Our food was not great. It came out too fast, rushed. My ribs were warm at best and stiff; they'd been slapped with a fresh coat of bbq sauce, and tasted like they had been sitting on a warmer for too long. *My wife had the chicken zingers and ended up with major food poisoning for the next too days. Immediately after dinner that night she started to feel sick. *My son's spaghetti and meatballs had an uncuttable meatball, which could only mean it was still frozen inside. This was our first time here. Not sure if we will be back. read more

Our server was great. She was attentive, friendly and took really good care of us. The drinks were good and atmosphere was fun (Sunday football). The food was decent. The nachos barely had any toppings so they might want to change it to chips and queso. I'd still go back though. read more

I ordered a salad online for ASAP pick up. 25 mins later I arrived and it still wasn't ready. Normally I would be upset especially when rushing on my lunch break, but everyone working there was extremely nice. There was a young gentlemen working the pick up counter and he was brand new - seemed a little overwhelmed. I felt really bad actually. He offered myself and another person who was waiting something to drink several times and apologized for the delay. The manager rushed my food and gave me a $10 gift card for the wait. I was only really there about 20 mins and never had a problem in the past. Great food, drinks and customer service! read more

Terrible service!! Came here with some friends and the waiter was rude and basically ignored us when we called him. Manager also declined my valid ID, which is accepted at any other restaurant and liquor store I've been to. He never had a valid reason as to why and he knew he was wrong. Overall the whole vibe and experience was disappointing. Wouldn't recommend anyone to come here with service like that. read more

I was excited to see lobster on the menu and so close to the hotel. My initial impression of the staff and manager: friendly and helpful. Too bad the server never got to me, never acknowledged my presence. It was Friday night and the place was busy. But too busy for proper staffing? I had enough time to read enough menus and reviews of their competitors in the area so I walked out. Maybe next time I will try the Bar. I still want to try their beer selection. read more

First off, food is good. You can get anything from chicken fingers to steamed lobster. Extensive all American menu. The food is nothing to write home about, but it's definitely good! As for the drinks, I love this place. Two large oval bars with usually 3 bartenders in each on a Friday and Saturday night. Awesome drink specials that are even available on the weekends. Perfect place to watch sporting events and listen to good music with friends. Always very very crowded once 8 pm comes. Tons of security everywhere. I come here when I don't want to venture into the city or go to Hoboken, but still have a great time! read more

Ok I just got out of millers ale house. And I loved it. I had the mountain melt with the hottest Hot Sauce if your in the area you gotta stop in read more

Miller's Ale House is great for just hanging out and having a few drinks with friends in a sports bar environment without much of a care for the food. Of course they have all the typical bar food favorites (pizza, wings, guacamole, etc.), but the food really isn't too good. I'd recommend sticking with the most simple dishes to ensure its decent. I'd steer clear of the flatbread pizzas, it was just about the same as frozen pizza from the supermarket. The outdoor patio area looked like a fun place to enjoy nice weather and a cold beer. I'd go back only for the drinks and just hanging around. read more

Not a big fan of chain restaurants big or small, but making an exception for this place Let's face it if you want to watch sports or a casual dinner as long as you don't mind loud places then this is your spot Good selection of craft beers, good drink specials The food is your typical Houlihans , Applebee's feel but done pretty well I had a full rack of ribs and they were fall off the bone tender and not drowned in BBQ sauce Bottom line good place for a casual meal read more

Went there for the Giants opener and it was getting packed around 7pm. Ordered naked wings and a few sauces which were pretty tasty and the wings were cooked perfectly! One problem we did have is my girl ordered the Wednesday lobster special and we asked if it was cleaned out and they said it was and it came out dirty! OK kinda shitty but what really made my mind up about this place is Paul the manager (looks like Anthony Anderson, you will know who it is when you see him) who came right up to us and asked us what the problem was. He immediately had another lobster prepared (clean this time), took it off the bill and gave us free shots on the house. NOTE TO ALL MANAGERS, DO THIS EVERY TIME AND YOU WILL HAVE REPEAT CUSTOMERS! I have been to numerous places where the food was prepped like shit and nothing was given to us for the problem and this took the cake. Cheap food, cheap beer and around this area that's hard to find as every place is looking to make bank off of one customer. Went back for football Sunday and it was packed but nice and roomy so it wasn't annoying to be there. All I have to say is goodbye Hooters hello Ale House! read more

Disclaimer - I loved the food (except the 35 Shrimp Scampi) check out the sweet potato fries But the service is HORRIBLE ... I came in at 9 on a Sunday , Easter Sunday and it was empty. We chose any booth we wanted. It took then about 10 minutes for the manager to ask if any waiter came. Then she took our drink orders. The lady returned 10 minutes later and took our appetizer order and meals. Mind you there is NOBODY HERE it took her 26 minutes to come back with the food and the app. The food by itself was great, the waiter had an attitude until towards the end but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is impatient or in need of food fast because the service was extremely slow for no one to be around in the restaurant. The rating is so low because if the waiters aggravated and snappy attitude and of the SLOW service. read more

The food was delicious, I liked the portion sizes very filling!!! The prices were very reasonable. The service was very good waiter Chris kept checking on us I appreciated that. I also liked the way the tv's were setup easy for everyone to watch whatever sport was on at the time. The place looked neat and clean I enjoyed the booth very spacious for me not cramped like other places I need leg room. Overall I had a good time watched a game or two drank and sat a while enjoying the atmosphere. I would definitely recommend this place for a nice outing out with friends or family. read more

The bartenders are great and the food is decent. Just wished they would find a better DJ.

Came here for a friend's birthday. Definitely great for large groups. Large beer selection. Had the chicken wings which were pretty good. My favorite flavors were sweet Thai chili, garlic Parmesan, and the korea bbq. Also had the loaded nachos with guacamole which I enjoyed. The prices are affordable and this is a good place to have cheap eats while hanging out with friends read more

I came here a few times and it was the same story, very long waits for a table, at one point it was upward of 90+ minutes, so I decided to head over to the bar. Major downside of their seating system is you constantly have to check the number board- no pagers or announcements, if you miss your number- its an added wait. Besides all that, the drinks and specials are very good. Be sure to look at the menus because they do have specials in there that aren't really mentioned. Service tends to be on the good side with a very attentive staff. Dinner specials are usually very well priced. The food quality is decent and the portion sizes can be large for some. That is the restaurant side of the story. The bars tend to be crowded and can be hard to find a place to order a beer. I figured at one point to just order a bucket of beer for myself so I did not have to put up with finding a place to order. During busy times, there may be a waitress taking orders for drinks- but it does get awkward when it gets packed and you are holding a bucket of beer. read more

Came here to try the beer since it was an ale house ok options needs more IPA'S. I'm visiting from California and was disappointed. Wanted to introduce IPA's to the fam. Food was ok I got the flatbread pizza. My cousins got the seafood Mac & Cheese was very soupy and the shrimp was not deveined ewwww. Sister got the seafood combo it was clearly over fired and was old oil you can totally tell. Overall good place to watch football and get cheap pitchers. Recently arrived from Cali and stopped in this bar because of its location. Read the reviews, I've been here a handful of times now (varying days) and I can truly say they have the best bartenders hands down (been to 4 other bars in the area). All are friendly, informative, and seem to love what they do. Haven't been here late night but the food is good and service is outstanding! My A1 bartender is Juan- he helped me sift through the menu, hooked up my drink like a true mixologist and even checked up on me a few times to make sure everything was Gucci! This is now my GoTo Bar. read more

This is definitely a sports bar. If you are looking for a table on a Sunday during football season, come early. But this place is big enough that you can certainly find somewhere to stand where you don't feel like you are in someone's way all the time. Unless you have a signature drink, look at the bar menu. This place has drink specials all the time whether you want beer, shots, or cocktails! I wasn't expecting much of the food and it didn't disappoint or impress. When I went, it was packed. Probably a result of Sunday football and that it has only been open a few weeks, regardless I look forward to coming back! read more

I couldn't be more excited about this place!! Awesome sports bar and restaurant. Of course its not gourmet, but you cannot beat it for the price. The prices here are unbelievable for the area, including a bucked of beers for 8 bucks and $5.00 double vodka drinks. I didn't realize it is owned by Miller Beer, so the Miller beers are super cheap. There is not a seat in the house that you don't have a clear view of a tv. Its actually pretty funny how many tvs there are. There are 2 large bars, and the service was great. There is outdoor seating as well as a closed in porch area. Even the outdoor porch has tvs. There is even a fire place inside. We visited during the first week they were open and they aced it. My family had fun and probably ordered way too many buckets. The servers are very nice too which was cool. Great steak sandwiches, and the salads aren't bad either. We got the buffalo shrimp too which was tasty. On a thursday night this place was super packed with a 35 minute wait. I will be spending many nights here! No need for happy hour specials, the specials run all day everyday. read more

This place is pretty nice and really busy. I had to wait 45 mins for a 3 person table, but didn't seem that long when there's a huge bar and hdtv's. It's pretty loud in there, but for a sports bar that's what you expect. I got a beer flight of 5 beers for about $9. The chicken zingers and potato nachos were amazing. I asked for well done steak, but got a medium well steak, but that and the shrimp were really good so I didn't mind too much. Like everyone else said, tvs are everywhere..even outside. Definitely go check this out if you have time to kill, it will be worth it. read more

Went here last Saturday and enjoyed it. We arrived at 10:30 pm and were a little hesitant to go in because it looked so, so packed from outside. We went in and yes, it was packed. When we asked for a table, the hostess replied that the wait would be about an hour. We didn't mind waiting since we were going to stick around for at least that long anyway so we grabbed a number and luckily found a spot at the bar in the meantime. In addition to a round of shots, my friends bought pitchers of Miller High Life (one of their drink specials for $6) and Blue Moon and I got a double Maker's Mark and ginger ale. The bartender gave a good heavy pour for mine which was appreciated. It was busy so it took a little while to get any of the bartenders' attention, but they were nice and quick in getting our drinks to us anyway. 30 minutes later, our number popped up on the number call system and we were on our way to a table. Our server was great. Though he was pretty awkward, he shot the shit with us and checked in often. The menu has a lot of variety. I shared fried calamari with someone and I liked it, though I could do without the chili sauce. One of my friends got an order of chips with guacamole and salsa and it turned out the chips were bottomless. I was pleasantly surprised we were still getting served hot chips until we left at about 2 am. They had a menu of 5 shooters which ranged in price from about $4-6. As there were 5 of us, we got an order of each one. I got some type of apple shooter which looked and tasted like apple juice. Just juice, which was disappointing. We got another round of my apple shooter and it had a noticeably higher amount of alcohol in it than my first one. Thumbs up for that, but it showed that the shooters were inconsistently made. Mostly a young crowd. A lot of ditzy girls and obnoxious guys but good company makes it easy to ignore everyone, especially when you get seated. As far as the space itself, I didn't notice anything besides that it's huge and there are televisions everywhere. Only complaint was that the host and hostess that night weren't particularly friendly and had permanent stank faces for no reason. I know this place isn't a 5 star restaurant, I'm just saying that a simple smile goes a long way. I'd like to go here again to do the same thing we did the first time. They have great drink specials but I can't speak for the food just yet. read more
