First I got to say the managers and staff were and always are excellent. We've been coming here for 15 years . The thing I've noticed now is you've kind of switching more to just alcohol and appetizers (which is def limited ) . You used to have the beef nachos which were amazing you switched to just chicken. There are no small dinners , like if u get the zingers (which are a must ) and just want to still have a few drinks but a "lite" dinner , you really can't with the menu they have. Millers is def the best sports bar in Bergen County but you really have to fix the menu. As a dining experience watching sports it's a fun place to be at , comfortable and plenty of seating. Just wish the menu had a "lighter healthy side " Otherwise esp with management they have the waiters and waitresses they have its first rate. The perfect place for a cold beer. Crystal our bartender was fantastic! Despite the heat this girl was movin! The bar was pretty full, even though the AC wasn't working well she worked her tail off. We had an order of crab legs and a fish sandwich which were pretty good. There was a nice crowd in the bar a nice mix of young and older. Even though it was warm in the bar the heat outside was so overwhelming I enjoyed my time there anyway. I noticed some slacking off on the service in bar area. After we ate no one was around to clear the table, I had to ask the bartender to clear the plates. In the past they always had people there doing that job and now I saw no one doing it. Great lunch special and super DUPER friendly service. This review is solely based on the lunch special food and our experience during lunch on a weekday, but I don't see a reason why the rest of their food or the experience would be any different. We FINALLY decided to visit Miller's Ale House after years of passing by it and gave it a chance on a recent Friday afternoon. As expected, it was fairly quiet, but there were still 5-7 tables occupied. First, this location is HUGEEEEE like a cavern. Tables and booths as far as the eye can see. Like any great sports bar, there are TVs that line every wall so that you don't miss the action. Basically, there isn't a bad seat in the house. Since we arrived at around 12pm, it was the heart of the "Lunch Break", which goes from 11AM - 4PM on weekdays. On the "Lunch Break" menu, you'll find VERY reasonably priced lunch items of which I ordered the English Pub Fish & Chips and my better half ordered the Dad's Homemade Meatloaf. Not having much expectations, the food was FANTASTIC. The beer-battered white fish from the Fish & Chips were SUPER HOT and EXTRA CRISPY. Lightly battered with a thin crust, but fried to perfection. Honestly, it was some of the best fish and chips I've had in recent memory. It was so light. I could have devoured another 5 pieces. Also, the fries that were served with it were also very hot, crispy and excellent. Not much changed with the meatloaf as it was delicious too. It was served with a vegetable medley and mashed potatoes, which were nice sides. As for service, our waitress was very friendly and quick. In addition, we were greeted by 2 other employees asking us how our experience was. Not sure if it was because they found out that it was our first time there, but, nevertheless a nice gesture. We only came here for lunch, so I can't tell you what the atmosphere is like on football game days or in the evening, but I'm sure this place must get packed because it seems like the perfect place to catch a game with some friends or family. Amazing French onion soup and with today's visit they were out of it so we tried their new England clam chowder...we were surprised by how good it was! Huge thanks to our AMAZING waiter Jake who made the recommendation. Actually - every single recommendation he made was fantastic. Can't rave about him enough. I go here when I feel like having some drinks and bar food. Their 35 fried shrimp is on point. Wings are OK. Sometimes they are very fresh/tender/juicy and sometimes a chewy/dry. They have bucket of 5 beer mix for $20, and bucket of 5 high noon mix for $20 but they won't let you mix the two even tho7fh its same price. Odd. Some servers are great and on point, some are horrendous and forgetful. Its all hit or miss. Sit at the bar if you can. read more

I arrived 10 minutes after everyone else and we still waited nearly 15 minutes to even be seen about drinks, I order the scampi pasta bake with shrimp cause I thought it sounded good, it comes out and it's shrimp and chicken like where do you get "scampi pasta bake with shrimp" and somehow it's a scampi pasta bake with chicken and shrimp. Mixed experience here. Food wise, traditional bone-in wings, medium heat, were good. The chicken nachos platter was big - enough for our table of six, as was the huge Bavarian pretzel. The wait staff was unorganized and couldn't find the QR Code for our phones to see their local craft beer listing. Took them like 15 minutes of several people trying to find where it was. I usually love Miller's. I have been to a couple of them. I have always sat at the bar. I went to meet a good friend because I was on his side of the Hudson. It was the day after Valentine's Day. We all know that is the best day to hit a restaurant or bar and people watch. As a gag gift, I got my friend a big thing of big mac sauce to dip fries in because we had a running joke. We ordered mojitos and wings and talked lots of junk. I made jokes because he had us in a booth. We were looking at some of the people and trying to figure out if that was a feb 15 situation or if they were just eating food. They couldn't do miller sized mojitos. They said they made it a double. Who knows. After my drink I switched to soda because well, I was basically drinking koolaid anyway. The wings were ok. I am being nice. They weren't bad. Just ok like air is ok. We got hot and the hot thai. We got blue cheese. Asked for extra and promises were made that never came to fruition. Kinda like some of the people eating out on the 15th I guess. But we pushed for more blue cheese. Not out of principle but because the wings needed help. My friend at some point asked for hot sauce. After explaining what hot sauce was, we got some red hot sauce. In fairness, the wing hot sauce was orange and there is tabasco sauce and frank's red hot and those green hot sauces mexican's give you with tacos, and so on and so on. Hot sauce doesn't really mean anything. But we got some. The red hot sauce was promptly poured on the orange sauced wings. My friend shouted out: Hopefully that fixes it. At some point, to my horror, I saw him dipping a wing in some orange sauce that was a lighter orange. It was so bad this poor guy had popped open the big mac sauce, dipped some fries in the sauce, and decided that maybe he can salvage the wings by dipping them in the big mac sauce. I am the friend that will stand by you during bad decisions, but I wasn't doing all that. He then looked at the remaining six or so wings and was like, eat bro, the rest are yours. This dish could honestly serve two people since it's so big but the mix between the wings and the fries is so good. I also never leave this place without getting a slice of the capt jack cake. Best prime rib burger Ive ever had!!!! It was juicy and cooked just how we asked for it, the sesame buns are a nice touch. Also ordered onion rings and they were banging. They serve a nice dipping sauce w the fries and the rings and it was very good. We Had teriyaki wings to start, they're are a good size full wing, and not drowning in sauce. Pitchers are the way to go when ordering or drinking in larger groups.
