It just looks more like a bar rather than a place that would serve high quality fresh meals. Everything was clean and the service was great. We got a high top in the bar area and they had a high chair that was tall enough for our son to reach the table. It was great! We ordered the caesar salad to start.... made perfectly. Then we got our entrees. Pictured below.... Both exceeded our expectations! We got our son the kids buttered noodles and he ate a lot of my chicken that I ordered. On a recent trip to the area, we decided to stop here for lunch after reading the great Yelp…read morereviews. I must admit that the reviews were spot on. Everything about this experience was top-notch! From being seated quickly upon entering, to explaining how the ticket validation thing worked (more info at the end), customer service was some of the best I've been shown. The ambiance is chic but casual-great for both cozy date night or fun family night. Our server was so friendly and patient as we asked questions about the menu. I ordered the grilled salmon with spicy crab remoulade and my guy ordered the smoked wings with a side of fries. I was happy that I was able to select my own sides from the ones on the menu so I opted for the fried Brussels sprouts with maple and bacon and the buttermilk whipped potatoes. After a short wait, our food was brought out. This was truly one of the best salmon dishes I have ever eaten! The salmon was cooked to my liking, the potatoes were soft and fluffy and the fried Brussels sprouts were absolutely divine and perfect. The remoulade was a little salty but it may have been just been my taste. The potatoes helped with that so it was not a deal breaker. My guy was pleased with his food as well and I could tell he enjoyed everything he ate. We agreed that we would take this trip back just to eat this meal again. It was truly a wonderful experience, from beginning to end. I highly recommend trying this gem out! Pro Tip: The restaurant validates parking. If you park in the lot across the street, do not prepay on the app or online. Ask the servers at the front to validate to save the $18 parking fee before you order and within 15 minutes after entering. Unfortunately, we didn't do this and the restaurant cannot reimburse the money after you've already paid. You've been warned!

Now, the bad. Whoever does the lights and the pre-show music needs some serious training. The music before and during the shows sounded like a combination of Peruvian flutes, windchimes, discordant jazz, and whales mating. It was wretched. We were there to see two bluegrass bands, and this was not an appropriate warm-up. But it was the show lights that nearly did me in. I don't have epilepsy, but if I did, I certainly would've had a seizure by the constantly roving, circling, glaring lights that shined directly in my eyes during nearly every song. This was not The Who at Wembley Stadium. This is a very small, intimate venue that doesn't need such distractions. Unless it's a band or musician I absolutely must see, I doubt I'll be back.

Yes, there is a court on the floor at the ballroom you can use for a fee, not during shows, obviously. Lol. Bands play here consistently. Some bands seem to be on rotation to play. And the funny thing I have to say is that finding some of the best nachos all the way in Tennessee was a total shocker! Part of it is just because they take this large sheet pan and spread the chips out over it so every chip has a topping. You're not left with a giant pile of chips that are totally naked in the middle of your pile of nachos. But I have to add to that that I got brisket nachos, the brisket was really wonderful, it was just savory and tender. The barbecue sauce is on the table were wonderful I'm just about anything. They have these great couch seating areas in the middle that were so much fun and just perfect for a family. And if you have even room for one bite, get one of their turnovers! Apple and blueberry turnovers are excellent! The cherry was not as good, but the pastry is divine. But it is super light and flaky and everything you could ask for in a baked treat.

Great drinks and service, but beware the checkout screen…read more The drinks and service at Unknown Caller are genuinely fantastic. I highly recommend the "Bartender's Choice" cocktail option--the staff is incredibly skilled, and the drinks they crafted were awesome. However, management needs to fix their highly deceptive checkout flow. The bar chooses not to bake Tennessee's mandatory 15% Liquor-by-the-Drink tax into their menu prices. When the bartender flips the POS tablet to pay, the system completely hides the itemized receipt. It jumps straight to a final total that includes a combined 24.25% in state and liquor taxes. To make matters worse, the screen presents ridiculous suggested tip options of 20%, 30%, and 40%--which are calculated on top of that heavily taxed final total rather than the subtotal. If you just tap a prompt, you end up aggressively tipping on hidden taxes. Come for the excellent cocktails and great bartenders, but ignore the suggested buttons and manually calculate your tip based on the actual menu price of your drinks.
