Tried the croque monsieur, essentially a fancy grilled ham and cheese sandwich and for the soup, chicken with wild rice soup. Both were hot, although I don't know how; it takes quite a while to get the order from the cashier through the kitchen to you. It is Panera, and in a hospital; so expect it to be expensive. $19.26 that included a large bottled soda. There's some tables in the back and some people eat at tables out in the lobby of the hospital. *5/1/25 - It had to be either the soup or the sandwich; that was all I had to eat yesterday. But, late last night and early this morning I had a terrible case of Turista!

In general I'm a Panera fan - the food is tasty and they have a good selection of items, so it was a pleasant surprise to see one here. In terms of selection, there is not much outside of what is seen at other locations - salads, sandwiches, soups, baked goods, etc. To accommodate for hospital guests and employees, the ordering area is disproportionate to the dining area. The latter is a decent size but the ordering/pickup area is just as vast. While the food is what I expected, the service is what really makes this location stand out for me. Service was fast and friendly each time I visited over the span of a few weeks. Not only is this important from a general customer service perspective, but especially in this setting where customers may not be visiting under the best circumstances. Overall, I'm glad this Panera is here - they provide a higher level of fare compared to a generic hospital food court and pair it with great service.

Truly, 10/10). The not-so-good: the food. It was unfortunately just mediocre. We ordered the classics - fried chicken sandwich, classic burger, pizza margarita and fries, and felt that each missed the mark. Chicken sandwich's flavors were off; Burger was dry; pizza had excessive sauce and acidity; and the fries were over-salty. I can see myself coming back with a group to just hangout and enjoy the drinks and vibes, but would not vouch for this place if food quality was a priority.

My Almond encrusted salmon was perfectly prepared, wonderful portion, delicious champagne sauce. I asked for mash and green beans rather than rice and asparagus. Not a problem. The server was friendly, kept us in plenty of water and was very attentive. Baked stuffed clams were very good, a little peppery hot but that didn't stop me! For himself, the surf and turf, and the 8 oz filet was rare as requested, tender. Very fresh lobster tail. Very cozy inside as usual. Place was packed but not loud. We'd had Applebees the day before for lunch, so wanted to switch up and give this place a try. We're from Jersey- the diner capital of the world, so sometimes people just have too high expectations for diners. Respect and decency to the customers that are fueling your tips? Non existent here. We walked in, weren't greeted but caught eyes with an employee who just waved his hands at us to follow him, and sat us at a booth without saying a word. Okay. Moving on. Someone came up to take our drink order with just one word "Drinks" in a bothered tone. The menu is huge so we were looking through it when he came by again, maybe a minute after we had sat down & just one word again said "Ready?" in an uninterested tone. We said sorry still looking and then he threw his hands up in the air & walked away like we were an inconvenience. The inside of this diner is outdated & a dump from the outside , the staff is rude and unwelcoming. We said forget it, we have somewhere to get to, and left & went right back to Applebees again. He was funny, friendly, and super personable. We ended up chatting about our kids and he made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. He mentioned the entire place was recently renovated, including the kitchen, and it shows. The space is clean, bright, and even smells new. The concept is pretty unique. The restaurant is split down the middle with IHOP on one side and Applebee's on the other, but now it operates as one combined menu. You can order anything from either side no matter where you sit. Breakfast all day, even at the bar, which is a fun twist. We started with the Ultimate Appetizer Trio with mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadillas, and chicken wontons. You get to pick three sauces, which is a great touch. The mozzarella sticks and quesadillas were very good, especially paired with the sauces. The chicken wontons missed for me. The Sweet Asian chile sauce and coleslaw did not work and the chicken texture was mushy. For drinks, I tried an Irish coffee since the espresso machine was down. It was not great. Very light on whiskey and came off watery with no real creaminess. The hot chocolate was just okay. The Bourbon Street Steak had good flavor, but the cut is now top sirloin instead of ribeye and it shows. Still enjoyable, but not as strong as it used to be. The fries that came with it were solid. The highlight for me was the Ultimate Breakfast Burger. It had a lot going on with a beef patty, hash browns, American cheese, bacon, a fried egg, and poblano hollandaise on a brioche bun. I swapped the egg to fried hard. Messy, falling apart, but somehow it all worked and tasted great. I also took advantage of the 2 for $25 deal with some upgrades and tried the 3 Cheese Chicken Penne and the Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp. Both were good and added even more value to the visit. Overall, this was a great experience. Strong service, a clean and updated space, and a fun concept that gives you the best of both worlds with grill, bar, and breakfast all in one place. I would definitely come back and try more items like the O M Cheese burger, quesadilla burger, bacon cheddar chicken sandwich, loaded buffalo chicken omelette, brownie bite, and the sizzling butter pecan blondie.
