This review is for the Wendy's near the sawmill River Parkway entrance in Elmsford/Hawthorne area New York. Friendly service. Average wait time. Full menu. I don't frequent fast food often so I was really surprised to see how many changes there were. FOOD: I opted for something called a "big meal" which was about $5.99 and included a small fries, a two-patty burger with cheese, and four piece chicken nuggets plus drink. That's a lot of food for under six dollars. They paid attention to preparing mine without onions which I'm allergic to. The french fries were hot and I opted for a bottled water instead of a soft drink. I also ordered a chicken Caesar salad for my son. I requested pomegranate dressing instead of Caesar dressing. That was the only mistake they made which could've been a huge disappointment. The loss of the star is because the chicken nuggets were lukewarm. And consistent holding temperatures were the issue for this visit at this location. read more

They over salt there burgers and give you the wrong order by leaving what you ordered out of the bag or they give you a less expensive burger so they can keep the difference in the price. They gave us a plain cheeseburger when we ordered Davies double, which is a big difference in price. Please check your order before you leave, and check your change while your at it. The amount of salt they use at this Wendy's was completely unacceptable! I've been to others where they didn't use salt or very little. For people with high blood pressure i would recommend this place unless, and even if you don't have high blood pressure! The line on the drive thru had 15 to 20 cars, it was a good 20 minutes to 25 minute wait. I've never experienced a Wendy's like that at other Wendys! My wife and I stopped at this Wendy's for a quick bite to eat on our way upstate to Catskills for the holiday weekend. As soon as we arrived at around 8pm, it was pretty packed & busy. But the man on register (Jean) was calm, composed, courteous & amazing at helping customers. He took our order very quickly & accurately & kept offering things that sounded good that I didn't even know was a thing (onions & cheese in my chili). This was my first time eating at Wendy's in over 5 years.. and sadly, I prob won't go back for years. The service was very slow and poor (the guy at pick-up was super slow & not banging out the orders quick enough). It almost seemed like it was his first day on the job... and he kept prioritizing the wrong orders when he had multiple people who ordered before some people. I watched as he served someone who ordered like 6 people after me pick up his order and leave. Unacceptable. Anyways, I ordered the new big Bacon Cheddar Burger & Chicken burger. I always get a chili when I go to Wendy's (my childhood favorite) so I got one of those as well. Unfortunately, everything was SUPER cold because I was waiting for about 40 minutes before the guy decided to complete my order & call out my name. (The girl before me waited over an hour). Jean (the person on register) atleast did the right thing & apologized and offered a free frosty for the ridiculously long wait. My verdict on the news burgers? Pretty underwhelming. The sauce was good, but everything else was pretty meh. Overall, my experience and food was bad. The only reason I gave this a 2 star review was because of Jean, who (in the midst of the chaos & slow incompetent service by his associate) worked very hard to keep customers happy. read more

This dump deserves ZERO stars! First of all the customer service is a joke. The cashier didn't even greet my boyfriend. He just stared at him blankly and didn't say a word. He then cut off my boyfriend mid-order to ask if it was to stay or go. The food was absolutely awful. Completely inedible. We ordered 3 grilled chicken wraps and had to throw two of them away because the chicken was dry and hard as a rock!!! I got the strawberry mango salad with the smallest piece of rock hard dry chicken I've ever seen. I took two bites and dumped. It was basically all iceberg lettuce with barely any fruit or cheese. In terms of local fast food Wendy's is king. Food is always fresh and cooked right. The baconator is a true favorite for a carnivore with no lettuce or tomatos. Nuggets are good as well. The 4 for 4 is a great value option with a burger, nuggets , fries and a drink. Drive through is extremely quick. Sometimes making the left out of the parking lot can be a pain. Today I multiple problems with my order. I ordered two junior cheese burgers. I only received one bacon junior cheese. I also asked for grilled chicken. They gave me breaded chicken in my salad. No one asked if I wanted a substitution. Sadly, this has happened more than once. I have been going here for years. Things started declining a few months ago. Customer Service used to be outstanding. Now it's bad on a good day. Prior management was fabulous. Now it appears there is no management at this location. To boot - the store ran out of baked potatoes and grilled chicken at dinner time on a Sunday. This is the cleanest Wendy's I ever been to. The bathrooms are cleaner than many other fast food establishments in the area. Nuggets are a pretty big part of my lifestyle, and this Wendy's nugget quality is stronger than both McDonald's and Burger King. When you need something fast, you have to go to a fast food joint. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised at the Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger. Is it the BEST burger I've ever had, No. Does it rival some of the $15+ burgers I've had, Yes. And for a little over $5, you can't go wrong. Basically, the bun was a little dry, not a fresh bun like you would find in a small mom & pop burger joint, but tolerable. And it is Wendy's after all, so I just couldn't go to 4 stars. a decent wendys in hawthorne off the saw mill pwky. i try to keep my fast food intake at 2 to 3 times a month but sometimes i need my frosty fix. i didnt want to wait at the drive thru as it was packed so i parked in the lot and went inside which had no lines and maybe 5 folks sitting at the many tables . i avoided the burgers and chicken sandwiches and stick with my plain baked potates, order of nuggets and a small vanilla frosty . it was late so ordering a salad or chili may not be that fresh so i kept it safe but i was starting to crave a spicy chicken sandwich cause the nuggets and potato was not enough . overall it was ok and 3 stars is enough for most fast food joints . p.s. glad they still have the picture of wendys founder dave thomas hanging on wall, he was a really nice guy . read more

I do think that this may have to end though, I have had it with this Wendy's easily the worst one I have been to. Is there a BBQ sauce shortage or something I should know about? We have stopped here many times as a great place to get a good burger on the way upstate via taconic parkway... love the redo... except the staff... guy who took my order was so rude and got our order wrong when we opened the bag in the car... he seemed stoned and so apathetic ... i got to his register and he never looked up or greeted me... so bad i would have like to have grabbed him and pulled him over the counter and asked what is his problem!?!
