Knowing it's veteran-owned makes me even happier to support them. The ice cream is consistently creamy without being overly sweet, which is harder to find than you'd think. Every flavor we've tried has been fantastic, and the staff is always genuinely kind and welcoming. The prices are reasonable, too, which makes it easy to stop by whenever the craving hits. My wife is always getting an "ice cream itch," so she'll randomly decide to "go check out the flavors" and somehow always comes home with ice cream for both of us. I'm certainly not complaining. My go-to order is the ube ice cream mixed with cookie dough, and yes, as a grown man,I still get rainbow sprinkles every single time. No shame. My husband is currently deployed and today I had to tell my kids that we are going to have to put our family dog down. We have been going through a lot, we were all heartbroken, so I decided to take them out for a small treat just to try to lift their spirits. Unfortunately, this is what we were met with. I wish I never even went at all. I ordered a dish of vanilla frozen custard with blue raspberry topping and gummy bears. What I received was a cone shoved face down into the dish with the gummy bears smashed underneath it. I did NOT order a cone. I was clear when ordering I wanted it just in a dish, no cone. Not the cone in a dish. When I asked for the order to be remade, the employees refused because they claimed they had repeated the order back to me and that I had ordered a cone. I called asking for a manager and ended up speaking to the same girls who made the order. I eventually went back and left my information for the owner, Rick, to call me. I also threw away the custard while I was there. Rick did call me, but instead of trying to understand why a regular customer was upset, he was immediately defensive. He told me word for word that he runs his business believing the customers aren't always right. Over a situation that meant a lot to me, it meant very little to him to even hear me out. I agree not everyone is always right but if I'm taking time to speak with you over an issue over YOUR business to correct and make you aware then have some respect to maybe think that your employees aren't in the right here. All of this over remaking roughly $5 worth of ice cream. Almost all of the reviews discuss lack of refund. They must really be struggling and rightfully so. I have been a regular customer but I WILL NOT be back. I also encourage anyone thinking about coming here to read the other one star reviews because, unfortunately, a lot of what those customers describe is exactly what I experienced. Sometimes customer service is simply about listening and showing a little kindness. They had multiple opportunities to make something so small right and chose not to. After eating it today I found that it wasn't much better than a frozen one from the grocery store with the exception that the grocery store one has a better crust. Your crust was like cardboard, very tough, so tough that I had to cut it with a knife. Shame on you! Pie crust should be light and flaky.
