If this is it isn't your go to place in Wichita, what are you even doing? Looks small from the outside but once you step inside it's quite roomy and the incredible smell of coffee will bless your nose as soon as you get out of your car. I went for ice cream and was helped by a beautiful,young,confident Latina girl who made my day! Not to mention the ice cream was phenomenal!Absolutely will be back.

Very nice and spacious coffee shop with some ice cream options as well! They had Cream and Flavored filled Cruffin's as well! I had the cookie and creams one and it didn't disappoint. My latte was super good and the beans def were freshly roasted ! My besttfriends lemonade also was to her liking ! They use premium syrups which also helps made my latte taste even better! The girls working were super sweet! I also loved that they have local art for sale on the walls.

I noticed that it's more of a coffee shop than a dessert shop since they appear to focus more on coffee. The seasonal pumpkin spice drink was pretty good, but I would go back to try their desserts. On the bright side, it was cozy inside which created the perfect autumn feeling despite the warm outdoor temperatures.

Very good coffee and pastries! I didn't try any of the ice cream but it looked delicious! It's decorated very cute inside and the staff are very friendly. This is a nice place to grab a coffee and get some work done or have a morning brunch with some friends!

I came here for an afternoon coffee on a Saturday and was glad I did! The space is pretty large with plenty of seating. They serve coffee, drinks, ice cream & baked goods. I got a hot latte as well as a chocolate cream pie and a peanut butter oreo brownie. The latte was absolutely perfect. The desserts were very good. I didn't eat them all in one sitting. They were still good when I had them later that night. I would definitely recommend Milkfloat!

TLDR: 5/5- Boss. Food: While the ice cream isn't homemade, (it's from Tillamook Creamery) the flavors and the smooth perfection of a honestly great ice cream make it clear why this local gem chose the creamery's offerings. For me, it does feel a bit like home, since that is the ice cream of my childhood, having grown up in the Pacific Northwest. This return to home seems like it is a theme that Milkfloat leans into. From their subtle nods to local talent and tradition from the art displayed in the walls to the ingredients featured in their offerings, it is clear that they take themselves and their hometown as seriously as I do mine. Service: The folks behind the counter were both lovely to chat with and knowledgeable. The easy conversation made the whole experience better, almost the way that one might imagine a bartender with a willing ear to be from tales of old, but this place was for real. Ambiance: I literally cannot tell you how pleasant the vibes were. I walked in and several folks were playing a game a table near the entrance. Their casual demeanor made it feel like I was walking into a friend's living room (in the best way). I wish that every local coffee shop house or sweet shop could spread this kind of casual and homey feeling to its patrons but this place does it better than most I have visited in the Wichita area. So head on down, get a scoop of my childhood and bask in the friendliness of a neighborhood staple.

Looking for a post sweet treat had us yelping our way around this town. Yelp never disappoints. Obviously, this is not a secret shop. Super busy on the night we visited, but still quick in getting us our orders. Fun, funky decor complete with a Lego wall in the back. Now, I want a Lego wall at home also. A hop and a skip from the Keeper of the Plains, which worked for us, since that's where we ended the night.

Milkfloat! Is the name that caught my eye, and this little coffee/ice cream shop is all that!! I'm not one for coffee shops, because I'm a Starbucks loyal app user, but this spot has tasty coffee cakes and the latte was on point. The 2 behind the counter were friendly and helpful, I did like not being rushed for being a 1st-Timer. The milkshake of the week is Cereal Bowl...and I did see them wheel in the tubs of Tillamook ice-cream, so it's for sure thing for tasting great. This spot is definitely worth your time and effort. ***Flight Attendant approved***

We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. My daughter and I love the look of the shop. Everything was priced well for the quality of ingredients being used. At first my daughter was a little disappointed because she was hoping for some homemade ice cream with different flavors. They however had Tillamook ice cream (which is good ice cream). I suggested she try a pastry instead there came the huge problem! How were we to figure out what we wanted,it all looked sooo good! After deliberating for a while I suggested she try an ice cream sandwich. I wasn't thinking they would put so much ice cream in it. So we split a chocolate chip cookie with vanilla bean ice cream sandwich and got a brownie to take back to my dad at the hospital. I'm not a huge fan of most typical chocolate chip cookies they are typically overly sweet. These however are not your typical chocolate chip cookies they have just a hint of different spices in them. The cookies paired well with the vanilla bean ice cream. As for the brownie I assume it was good my dad gobbled it up really quick. I rather give my money to a local shop than a chain. The only issue I had is it says no public restrooms. Where we are from that means customers can't use them either. I'm not sure if that,s the case or not, maybe make that clear if available to customers.

Ordered: Eggnog and Oreo Pie, Strawberry Poptart This was my second and third visit to this cafe. I visited when they first opened a few years back. I'm happy to see the high standards and quality of their pastry/dessert have only improved. On the first visit this trip, I arrived around 7 pm and not many options were available. They closed earlier during the Christmas holidays. The staff recommended the eggnog pie of which I was skeptical about. To my surprise, I ended up eating it all and ordering one to go. * Eggnog - It is a good balance of sweet and savory. I loved you could actually taste the spices. The crust was a mix between crisp and flaky yet delicious. * The Strawberry Poptart and Oreo were both pretty sweet, get milk or water to go with it you'll need it. The presentation is consistently good and the inside is always clean. I love the industrial contemporary, from the brick style walls, overhead pipes to lantern type lights. They have a boardroom style table perfect for small meetings and group gathering, it was in use on both of my visits. It a very chill and relaxing vibes inside. The staff is always friendly and attentive, the remember names and preferences which is always a plus. The items are worth the price. Note to management - have employees sample the products being sold, this way they can provide a better description of taste or texture.

Love Delano District. Bought cool hats at Hartman Jack and wanted some dessert so stopped in here and great decision. Pop Tarts are the bomb. Also hubby had a chocolate pie a la mode. Cute old brick building. Coffee and teas and they serve breakfast and lunch. What will be back next time in Wichita. read more

Not sure if dessert bars are a thing, but Milkfloat is one! They are always coming up with new dessert items, and they have something for every taste bud. They also have ice cream and a 'full-service' coffee bar too. It also has a great vibe that's inviting and easy to hang out at. read more

Recently moved to apartments close to here and this has become my daily coffee shop. Love the vibe and ambience. Place is so well lit with high ceilings, great to just hangout. Coffee is great. Dessert options are always very tempting. Have tried a few and were great. I only wish they had some savory items to offer along with the sweet ones too to enjoy with the coffee like croissants etc, then it would be perfect! read more

We stopped in about and hour before closing. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of dessert options, but was available looked delicious. We ordered a vanilla ice cream cone and fudge brownie. The ice cream was good, not phenomenal or better than any other ice cream place. The cone was crunchy and kind of hard. The brownie was thick and super rich. Definitely a dessert to share. They have a nice counter available with silverware, napkins and a microwave. They also have books and games available to borrow. The place is very spacious with fun paper lanterns. A fun place for a date night or special occasion. read more

Amazing dessert bar. They make unbelievable brownies and cookies. The homemade custard and milkshakes (not real milkshakes because they use custard rather than ice cream) are the only things that disappoint from Milkfloat. Fun, inviting interior space too. Definitely recommend. read more

I been wanting to check this place out for s long time and finally got to enjoy everything they had to offer finally. When I first walked in I was surprised at how large the space was. As I walked up to the counter i was instantly attracted to their desert display! Everything looked sooo tasty, it was hard to choose what to get. The staff was super friendly and helpful with their suggestions. In the end I ended up enjoying some super tasty ice cream... mmmmmm. Out of all the cold brews I've drank, this is bar dar my favorite. It's simply the best. Better than Starbucks, coffee bean, second cup, etc. It makes me wish I stayed in Wichita loger just to have it again. If you guys go, get the cold brews. It's a highly recommended read more

Searching for coffee shop we came across this for dessert and coffee. The dessert case made me want one of each but we settled for the PB pretzel and the oatmeal butterscotch cookie. For the Coffee I ordered vanilla Carmel latte and hubby ordered Chai tea! Desserts were pretty good. Pretzel base was chewy and thought it should have been more crisp. My latte tasted very burnt. We Liked the ambiance and the look of the food but wasn't wowed by any of the items. read more

Super hipsterish, fancy cafe that could easily be used as a backdrop for you Instagram crazy food bloggers. No seriously, the food and drinks are so pretty, and the cakes are good, too. Only reason I don't give them 4 stars is because the cookie I ordered was still runny inside and during peak lunch time there was only one person behind the bar so the wait was long. read more

This is the best little place in Delano! I go in about once a week to get a pastry and you never quite know what they will have because they change it up all the time. I've never had anything bad, but my favorites are probably the cinnamon roll cruffin and lemon blueberry scone. The service has always been quick and friendly. I would highly recommend! read more

This place started as a great coffee shop with incredible baked goods offerings. Now, there is no pourover option on the menu and they've stopped ordering beans from premier US roasters. Expect lots of kids, long lines and an average cup of coffee. Great desserts. Below average experience; headphones won't save you. read more

So good. Awesome friendly staff. Very cool industrial feel, and great music. Not cheap, but the taste and freshness of this professional bakery/dessert bar makes up for it. We had the Blueberry Coffee Cake, Smores Tarte, and the 50 layer donut. We had coffee, hot chocolate, and the Vanilla sweet cream cold brew. Total was $25.60 Will come again and again! read more

I visited Milkfloat in July 2019 with family, and loved the experience! The staff were super friendly, and didn't make me feel rushed at all when I was deciding what to order. I ordered the health caramel concrete (with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla), and it was absolutely delicious! I couldn't finish the whole thing, so I took the rest home for later! In addition to concretes, they have a number of dessert items (including cookies, cake, Pop-Tarts, and more). There is parking available on the street outside, but if you're in the area, it is a nice location to walk to! You can also sign up to earn points each time you make a purchase, which add up for future discounts. Overall, I would highly recommend Milkfloat! read more

My family and I were looking for a place to get coffee in Wichita and using the power of Yelp, we found this lovely place. The first thing I noticed about this place was how big the space was and the modern/industrial warehouse atmosphere. The sweets and pastries looked delicious but unfortunately I had already eaten breakfast and only had room for a coffee. I ordered a latte, which was delicious. They use those fruit forward coffee beans that are common these days. They've also got those fancy Japanese coffee gizmos to make cold brew and percolated coffee.It's a great place to bring your family too, they've got games and books to entertain the kiddos and there's plenty of room for them. Next time I'm in Kansas, I'll be sure to come back here and try the Nutella pop tarts. I'm sure it will be worth the wait. read more

I can't say enough about my favorite spot in Wichita. Delicious coffee, excellent customer service and fun, creative, and home made desserts. My husband and i love coming here on evenings to drink coffee. We bring a deck of cards and stay a while. Hoping that as Milkfloat continues to grow they are able to employ more people that are knowledgeable about craft coffee as sometimes they are hit and miss. read more

Atmosphere: check Coffee: check Dessert: out of this planet. Everything is made from scratch onsite. Menu completely changes every two months. Everything is wonderful. Bring the kids and let them play on the LEGO wall while you steal their food. read more

Cute spot, great coffee, and even better customer service. I came here on a very windy day and made it about half a block before I lost my coffee in a fight with the wind. I was exhausted and desperately needed some coffee, so I went back in and they were so sweet and made me another free of charge. Finally made it!!! Yum!! Had the broccoli frittata with sweet potato tots, and a lemon coconut pop tart for later! The staff was very friendly. And there was a crochet club of women in there crocheting and drinking their morning coffee. So it must be the place to go in the Delano district! I finally made my way over to Milkfloat (I was trying to cut back on sweets and was trying to be dairy-free for awhile but I broke my streak to try this place). I sure wasn't disappointed. I took my sweets to go:: I had a cookie butter pie slice, a pb&j cookie, and husband had the chocolate brownie. Everything was SO GOOD. My sweet tooth was satisfied. If my stomach could've handled more, I would've ordered more. I wanted to try it all. I was excited to see did they have one vegan dessert (can't remember what it was--I'm not even vegan but I was trying the whole dairy-free thing). I will be back soon! read more

Good, not amazing. We had a King's Cake, cinnamon "pop tart," brownie à la mode, and red velvet cake. Our favorites were the King's Cake and the brownie (without the ice cream). The red velvet is a very traditional red velvet but the frosting isn't cream cheese frosting, it's cream cheese buttercream. The cinnamon pop tart was just way too sugary. We did not try any beverages. I will say, the staff is friendly and the vibe was really enjoyable. Excited to come back and try some different stuff! They have a two month rotating schedule. read more

Absolutely loved this place! We left the restaurant here in Wichita still hungry and decided to go have desert somewhere. We looked it up on yelp and had to go try it out. They have amazing coffee and deserts that are made small jars. Mine was called birthday cake but it definitely was so much more than it sounds! I can't even explain the awesomeness. I also love the chill atmosphere with modern decor and of course free WiFi! read more

Milk Float is a super modern cafe in Wichita! The decor and layout of the cafe is intimate and fun! I highly recommend tourists and locals to stop by to check the cafe out for the atmosphere. The desserts are fun and creative, and personally I think it tastes fairly good however, the items are definitely on the pricey side. Overall, atmosphere, decor, and concept are fun, desserts were good but not making me crave to come back just for the dessert. read more

Perfect place for my study group and I to study at! Friendly staff, awesome drinks, yummy desert! Huge tables and great lighting. Only down side is they do not offer real food. Highly recommend for coffee & desert though! Oh and did I mention they have a LEGO board in the back for kids?!? Yup! I take my 7 year old while I study and it's one of few coffee shops who offer the kids something to play with! Would be 5 stars if the offered food. read more

Milkfloat was wonderful when I went in for breakfast. Their interior is simple, but classy with good music playing in the background. I had their biscuits and gravy, which was filling and flavorful, and their pop tarts, which were miles improved above the original. Their case is always changing with new and delicious pastries, and their drinks are superb. I would go here again and encourage others to give them a try. read more

I finally made it here! I have to start off saying the staff here is exceptionally friendly and courteous. Very down to earth and talkative- which I love and appreciate. I was in a huge hurry which I regret so I'm definitely gonna go back soon to get a better feel and experience. Wasn't able to try one of their drinks which I've heard are amazing. I grabbed the dipped chocolate chip cookie for my daughter and I ordered the Vegan Chocolate pie. Both were huge and shareable! Couldn't finish the pie by myself! Can't wait to go back and try more. read more

First the bad, we entered from the rear parking lot only to see a full trash barrel and also noticed a sewer like funk in the back of the building. I assume the bad smell was a temporary issue. The good, we enjoyed unique and mostly delicious desserts and bakery treats. I especially like the carrot cake. Others in our group ate up the pop tarts. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I look forward to trying more of their sweet treats. read more

This place was WONDERFUL! The space was very inviting! My husband had a sundae and I had a caramel butter pecan milkshake. They were both wonderful. It was extremely busy but we were able to get through the line and receive our items fairly quickly. 10/10 read more

What a dope little joint. The staff was great. The atmosphere is wicked modern with exposed brick and open seating style. They even have games for the youths. The coolest part: they have vegan deserts that actually taste good. I ventured with the pineapple upside downcake and it was delicious. I would give this place 3.5 stars. The hipster atmosphere is very fun and trendy, and the desserts are so yummy, however the drink selection is seriously lacking and the menu availability is highly variable. Because all the drinks are microbrewed, the wait is usually fairly long but I would say the flavor is worth the wait. It was cracked and when we cut the cake it fell apart. The top layer was supposed to be vanilla and the bottom raspberry and they switched the cake layers. They also broke my cake topper! I went into the store to talk with them about it. I'm holding a second large wedding next year and had originally planned to purchase several cakes for that event. When I came in and showed them pictures and explained what happened they kept saying that it must have been something I did and that has never happened before. I showed them the pictures of it bubbling at the store and they said it was just a shadow on the picture. Really?! A shadow in the EXACT location where it broke apart. A quick google search shows that the reason it would happen is because it was not cooled enough before frosting. I wish I had read the previous reviews because it seems to be a trend of quickly making things in a subpar manner. I will not be using this bakery continuing forward and I would suggest reading reviews before making the same mistake I did.
