iced latte

Delish! Ordered ahead and it was ready right when I arrived! Everything was correct and yummy- I ordered an iced latte with vanilla, caramel and oat milk. It was so good!

We've been here twice and both times I've been super impressed with this cafe. First the food. The goat cheese with tomatoes on sourdough is delicious. So is their blueberry muffin. If you like spicy go for their spicy egg sando. Everything is delicious. For drinks, we got the oatmeal pie latte and blueberry latte with matcha cream. Both were delicious. Get the matcha one with oatmilk to bring some color to your day. The people at the counter were great. There was plenty of seating even though there were a lot of people. We went to the back room and it felt like a private space. Highly recommend coming here.

LATTE

I got the caramel latte. It was pretty strong, but besides that, it was really good. They even had my drink ready before I sat down.

Iced cafe cofe - delicious, sweet, creamy

I'm so glad we made a point to stop here during a recent trip to Wichita! First of all, what an innovative space! Shipping containers-turned boutique business plaza? I love that. From the moment we arrived, the cooperative efforts of the businesses who call this space "home" was clear. We came on a Sunday morning when the only thing open was Pennant. During that time, the bar next door was available as indoor seating for Pennant (that is, if you didn't want to take full advantage of the gorgeous patio/bonfire space in the courtyard or one of the 'balcony' style patios). The coffee itself is excellent - we tried a cafe cofe, a specialty drip and a cortado. All delicious! In particular, we were blown away by the breakfast sandwiches though! I highly recommend pairing one with your morning caffeine fix! We loved every minute here - the barista was super friendly and eager to get recommendations, the space was incredible, the breakfast was quite a hit, and the coffee was exactly what you would hope for.

HOT CHOCCY
Taylor K.

We had no destinations for our journey around Wichita today. We honestly didn't even know this gem was in the area when we walked by, but it looked so inviting we just had to go in. I (not as adventurous) tried the hot choccy and she (much more adventurous) tried the Pink Pony Club. My was delicious as expected, but hers was probably the most unique coffee shop drink we've ever tried. It was most definitely light, bright, and sapphic. *I don't know what sapphic is. Long story short, come check this place out. You won't regret it!

Carmel Latte and Mochi Cake

Yet another visit to one of my favorite local coffee spots. This time I went for a simple Carmel oat milk latte and grabbed a mochi matcha cake. The dessert was subtle, not overly sweet, somewhat dense but not dry. On this particular visit I discovered they make a few of their syrups in house! As always will come again!

Or you order a coffee because you're meeting for a Marxist-Leninist discussion and someone orders one of the $2 beers and you're like, "WHAT? 2 dolla beers? That's the same price as coffee!" I wish I could tell you about the front where all the cool kids hang, or the inside where all the cool kids hang, but I'm mostly in the back where all the cool kids hang. Don't come in the back if you like to use the term "hipsters" to refer to atmosphere, because sorry my dude, you ain't a cool kid. Or maybe you are. Hipsters call other hipsters "hipsters" sometimes. I like their hummus, I hear it's from N&J's (or used to be anyway) and I THINK I got a review for them. It's probably five stars. If you're a young lady who can sit for thirty minutes at a time, WATCH OUT! Someone might sketch you. Sorry. No one has sketched me yet, but that's because I am an elusive moth who sits in the shadows... that's what I tell myself anyway. I hear if people hang out here long enough and become regulars they fall in love. So watch out for that too. People, you know, fall out of love also. If you have a friendly dog, it's probably welcome to porch sit. Staff is friendly and always watching. Be prepared to be highly amused by the standard coffee shop artwork in a bar scenario. They look different through various levels of sobriety. Also, my review is bias. You're not smart if you already figured this out. You're not dumb if you didn't. (Doing the following out of force of habit:) Fat girl in me: Give me beer, give me beer, give me bloody mary's and vodka tonics. Give me hummus too! Let's go across the street and eat some ramen. Skinny girl in me: Meet me here to go on a 40mi bike ride (coffee please) and we'll end here and have a drink before I have to ride 8 more miles home.

Not fancy, just a solid casual spot to unwind and have a good time.

My second rule is if it's an ice cream shop or a bakery or a breakfast / lunch spot.... the score goes down because the coffee is usually and afterthought. Well this place broke all of the rules.... BOTH THE BAKERY IS EPIC AND THE COFFEE IS EVEN BETTER! The only thing I didn't like is there is just so much pride stuff. I get it - I'm from the FL keys which used to be one of the main places for LGBT communities (back in the day it was only LGBT). Key West / San Fran and Province Town - those were the only true open communities. But now it's nationwide and it's actually world wide for the most part. From my viewpoints LGB is 100% just part of society and we don't have much flag waiving in the keys because nobody cares - we are all just one big family. It didn't take away from the expense it was just a little too forward.

It's not a knock on the city, it's just that it's a 9 hour drive from Houston! I found this gem on a recent road trip through the Midwest. I was making a drive from Dallas and used ChatGPT to find me the best coffee between Dallas and Abilene, KS. Reverie Coffee Roasters popped up and Yelp reviews looked favorable so I plugged it into the GPS. I don't know the area, but it seemed to be located in their downtown area right off the interstate. I found street parking right out front and unsure if they have a dedicated lot. This place was alot bigger than I expected. Walking in is like a storefront with coffee and merch for sale, as well as where you order. Then they have a huge dining area with lots of seating as well as a patio out back. It looks like a perfect place to catch up with your peeps, read a good book or study. It was busy so the staff was straight business but in a polite and helpful way. They started off as a wholesale coffee roaster. They source their coffee from all around the world. On my visit, I saw coffees from Columbia, Guatemala, Mexico, Ethiopia, and Nicaragua. They also offer every type of brewing method like pour over, drip, chemex, cold brew, French press, etc. The fact that they do all that different sourcing and preparation methods shows me they care about putting out a superior product. My original plan was to grab a cup of joe and keep it moving to my destination, but after walking in and seeing they had nice looking pastries, I decided to get my order and enjoy it there. I love all things s'mores and saw they have a s'mores latte. I had to get it. Another weakness of mine is cinnamon rolls. I saw it on display and had to have it. They heat it up before serving it. I was able to find a cozy corner of the restaurant. My order got called shortly after. The latte was amazing. I could taste the little nuances of a s'more. They even topped the drink with a marshmallow drizzle. I savored that drink. Now let me sing the praise of that cinnamon roll. Hands down the best cinnamon roll I've had. This was a brioche cinnamon roll. They heated it up just right and the icing was just gooey enough without running off the roll. It was soft and oh so delectable. The sweet icing didn't mask the delicious buttery brioche either. Bite of that, then sip of the coffee was a match made in heaven. I had no intention of finishing this generous portion, but I simply could not let it go to waste either. Needless to say, I was on the struggle bus driving on to my next destination. If somehow I could replicate this place and put one in Houston, I would be the happiest man. I will most definitely come back through next time I drive through Wichita!
