Visited June 2025 and have reordered a few times since that visit! I'm not sure what kind of magic they're working over at Cocoa Dolce, but whatever it is... I'm hooked. This place is pure chocolate heaven, and I keep finding excuses to order again...whether it's for a little "treat yourself" moment or a sweet gift (that may or may not make it into someone else's hands). I've tried so many different things at this point, and honestly, it's all been incredible. The bars? Smooth, rich, and beautifully made. The strawberries and cream one might be my favorite...it's creamy and dreamy and just the right amount of sweet. And don't even get me started on the build-your-own box... I can't be trusted near that display case. Some favorites? Crème brûlée, key lime pie, and red velvet. They taste like actual tiny desserts wrapped in chocolate, and yes, they're just as good as they sound not to mention oh so gorgeous...like little decadent bites of art! Oh...and the ultimate brownie? Total game-changer. Fudgy, decadent, and completely worth every bite. But the one thing I still think about? The Christmas toffee. I bought it once, fell head over heels, and was genuinely heartbroken when it sold out. I'm already planning my December shopping around it. I must stock up more! Really nice stop on the road. This location has the perfect cozy winter feeling. It's warm and smells of freshly baked goods. The displayed chocolates look like art and from the large interior display window you can see the machines that make the chocolate. It's exactly what we needed on a cold day. After walking around downtown Wichita, we had to stop to get a treat. They have some of the best chocolates and cookies. We bought three cookies and shared them. All were soft and so good. For their chocolate, I had the banana foster and the bourbon cordial. The bourbon cordial actually has bourbon inside, so when you bite into it expect liquid. The banana foster truly tasted like banana. They have plenty of other things you could eat or drink. I did notice they have happy hour. They have cocktails. They are all top quality chocolate shop serving gelato, coffee, baked goods and cocktails! I tried the pistachio and salted carmel. They're pricey, but so very good. They have 3 locations in Wichita and 1 in Las Vegas. We happened upon this shop (looking for a coffee shop) and was pleasantly surprised and fascinated by the huge kitchen where you can view the behind-the-scene creation of their beautiful chocolates. Excellent, artisanally-crafted chocolates. We came in from out of town, looking to pick up Valentine's treats for family; all were well-received and thoroughly enjoyed. I'm sure we'll be back, next time we're in town. The shop was busy but not crazy (for Valentine's Day); service was prompt and cheerful, and the place itself was very inviting... made me wish we had more time to sit and enjoy. I saw Cocoa Dolce as a recommendation on TikTok, so when I stumbled upon it while our shopping I knew I had to give it a try. I was anticipating a coffee shop, but they are so much more: ice cream, baked goods, chocolates, fancy drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). I had the worked give me their favorite cookie (chocolate chip), and the best selling chocolates (champagne, caramel, espresso martini, and one I forget the flavor name of but it's was really good). I really appreciated the worker indulging me and telling me their favorites/best sellers. They even warmed up the chocolate chip cookie for me and made it even better. The establishment is moody, and seemed like a calm place to work/do homework. read more

Of all the places I visited in Wichita I was most surprised by Cocoa Dolce. Cocoa Dolce was also one of two places that I went back to twice. A local expert suggested going to this location and I'm glad we did. The exterior looked like it was an old movie house and the inside was a surprisingly sleek, clean and classic look with modern flourishes with the back half being the factory. It was definitely easy to find a comfortable seat and relax, it was too early to have a drink and I'm not a coffee drinker but still needed a caffeine fix. What I ended up getting was their Red Bull smoothie and based on the recommendation of staff went with their mango sorbet. I was skeptical so they gave me a risk free option: if I didn't like it I could get another one made with their raspberry sorbet. Well, I liked it so much that I ended up finishing it and getting a second one made with raspberry anyway. I ended up trying out a couple of their cordials-the bourbon one did have a nice oak-y/boozey flavor to it while the Old Fashioned cordial had a slight sweetness to it. Probably some of the best sweets I've had and I was super surprised with it. What shouldn't come as a surprise though it the service. I briefly mentioned it but everyone behind the counter was nice and friendly, pointing out a lot of flavor notes, the aforementioned risk free offer and of course a friendly but pressure free prodding to have a day drink. Had an absolutely great time picking out all kinds of goodies that I honestly had no intention of buying. During a random walk here in Wichita I found this little gem not too far from Old Town. From gelato to macarons to handmade gourmet chocolates made in house I was in absolute heaven. They are also a great coffee shop with a place to meet friends or just hang out. The inside was very nice and we liked the the big window view that allowed you to see the bakers at work while you enjoyed a nice cup of coffee and a lemon scone which are the best. If I could give it a zero I would. I have been going to this coffee shop for awhile and I went yesterday and had a bad experience. First, it was really busy and I was being patient with the barista but he did not care. He was rude and has no people skills. Then, I was working on my homework when a homeless man approached me and made me super uncomfortable and was being creepy towards women. The shop did nothing about it until another person got involved. The police had arrived but there wasn't much they could do. My boyfriend went back because he felt so bad and the same guy working was really rude to him and the shop offered nothing to me. I didn't get to finish my drink or food that I had bought because of the situation. I will not be coming back and letting everyone else know not to go. I'm really disappointed about how the situation was handled. read more

When you need a little sweetness or a little alcohol, maybe both then you must come here!!! I loved that as you walk in you get to see the production kitchen from the Lounge and then you get to see and smell all the amazingly beautiful creations that come out of there. You can choose from a long list of craft beer, cocktails, wine ( if you like sweet wine go for the Pineapple Moscato) and if you want a hot drink I loved the Mayan Mocha it had a bit of spice, rich dark chocolate all whipped up into one tall mug which paired perfectly with there Lavender Lemon Scone! The staff is super friendly and the lounge is comfortable however it is small so groups of 4 or more may have difficulty finding seating. Can't wait to go back! read more

Wow! We happened to drive by on the way to The Nifty Nuthouse, one of our favorites, and decided to go back even though we had plenty of chocolate. The person waiting on us was great! She had red hair but I didn't get her name. She was very friendly and helpful! We ended up having gelato and truffles. We didn't think the prices were too high. The treats are over the top delicious! Next time we will get cookies and other treats that were hard to pass up this time. We're only in town visiting our son but this will be a must-go-to every time we're here. Haven't been overly impressed with the bakery, but the other items MORE than make up for that. Are you really there for the bakery, after all? Ambiance is always top-notch, too. Cocoa Dolce continues to expand throughout Wichita, so now you no longer have to drive all the way to the east or west side of the city to get your chocolate fix! I stand by the fact that this is one of my favorite chocolate shops, and not just in Wichita. I've since moved to another state and still need my fix of their chocolate covered marshmallows because no other local store comes close. The downtown CD expansion includes their new kitchen facilities where you can actually see the chocolate making in process. The inside seating area is smaller than their westside location, but it still has the same cool vibe as the other two. The chocolates, drinks, and bakery items are still made with impeccably high quality ingredients and care, so you really can't go wrong with anything you order. On our last visit, we had an opportunity to tour the back of the building - which was so cool! If you're there and have a second, try asking the associates if you can take a tour (or maybe call in advance). It's so fun to see behind the scenes. Of course all of their chocolates are delicious, but I'd also recommend the chocolate chip cookie (when they ask if you want it warmed up - say yes!) and the wine slush. The slush is blended with a full 8 oz of wine plus a scoop of gelato or sorbet...and it's amazing. They also open at 7 am if you happen to work downtown or nearby and want to stop in for fresh coffee, brewed specially for CD. Okay, I'm done raving. Just go ahead and visit already. :) read more

Let's start with why this isn't a 5, only one thing for me, the gelato. It's great, but it's not Italian deliciousness. That's the only negative I have. I'm always on the lookout for authentic, walking the streets of Florence gelato and this wasn't it either. Okay, that bit out of the way, the truffles were delicious, with great flavor combos.
