I've been coming to Fairmount for the past 4 years. The staff here are wonderful and feel like family. I'm always greeted with a smile and a "how's your day going?" Their coffee is always delicious. The lattes are really good. Some are on the sweet side, so I like to ask for half sweet. There smoothies, salads, sandwiches and breakfast are all really good. The Shocker is my favorite sandwich here. The shocker is a hot sandwich with turkey, avocado, bacon, cheese and jalapeño ranch. Definitely worth a try if you go! There is wifi and plenty of seating to work on homework or other work. There are also couches to sit on as well which is great if you're meeting a friend for coffee. read more

I ordered my food on doordash. I already have a low expectation when I doordash food which is ironic because we actually pay more than being at the restaurant itself but receive poor presentation because it's to go. I ordered the chipotle chicken wrap and as you can see they forgot to add the chicken. I had to open my sandwich to double check just in case it was cut into small pieces but no, all veggies. I ordered the ice honey lavender latter which wasn't bad but not something I'll get again. I also got the stench mint tea which was nice. Wish there was an option to add honey. I will have to try this place again in person to see if this was just a one time bad experience or this is really how they operate. Not recommending this place to anyone for now. read more

Well sad to say my 1st experience here was a bit disappointing. The house-made, "not too sweet" (as I was told) vanilla chai was rather sweet. And they lost my breakfast sandwich order. I had to go ask what was up and they didn't even know what I ordered. Considering I'm on a road trip and trying to get out of town after this I was disappointed they didn't do better. The place was very full, not much seating available when I arrived. Had to wait for people to clear out to sit down. The sandwich was fine, although nothing to write home about. Nothing actually bad happened while we were there...The employees seemed to gather in groups away from customers to stare, talk and laugh....might want to engage with customers...Wife and daughter stood at counter to explore drink menu & wasn't informed that they were closing soon, so before they were ready to place their order, the person disappeared...like magic‍ then some employees started putting chairs on tables...so we just left and visited their competition down the street. read more

This was a treat to visit while here in Wichita. My husband, son and I all enjoyed the coffee, breakfast and pastries. I had a delightful sausage, egg, and cheese on a ciabatta roll, and it was very filling. Not small in the least. Also, this coffee shop isn't one of those tiny nooks, it has ample space for any Wichita State student who wishes to study. That being said, although there are cushioned sofas and chairs, the actual tables have hard aluminum that may cause your stay to be at a minimum. I also did not notice any loud music at this place, which is nice. My husband and I both enjoy exploring coffee shops, and it's disappointing when the occasional shop has very loud music. The special treat here was the brewed coffee (as we are partial being from K.C.) because they brew "The Roasterie" coffee. read more

My boyfriend and I went there and he ordered a breakfast sandwich. In which he didn't know had onions in them, as there's usually a list on what the burrito has and there weren't any. He went up and told them that he didn't know there were onions. Turns out they can't give him a refund and said they would just make him a regular breakfast sandwich. To which he never got one. A breakfast burrito, mango smoothie, & a coke bottle all for $15. And he didn't get to enjoy his food. Overall, the atmosphere makes up for it as well as the many outlets in the lounge. This place has a great atmosphere for studying and catching up with friends. I love all the natural lighting, comfortable seating, big tables, soft music, and lots of outlets. I'm sorry but will not be coming back! Came in with no welcome so I tried to break the ice and say hi with a big smile but got nothing returned. I then awkwardly ordered and saw she gave me a disgusting glance when she thought I wasn't looking... thought she was having a bad day so my husband and I agreed to leave a 20% tip... well quickly regretted it when we got our drinks and she ignored my request when specifically said just ONE pump of mocha in my latte 3x! It tasted straight up just mocha sauce and my husband's cappuccino was just as disappointing. Our visit was cut short when another couple walked in and was given a proper welcome with a nice smile, just 8 mins after we came in! I'm not too sure if it was a race thing "we're Hispanics " or she had a lot of envy towards me because again she ignored my hello and gave me a full body scan with a nasty look. Please do better!
