I discovered this little gem when I came down to visit in-laws a couple of months ago. I love the biscuits and gravy. It is technically a "side". I reminds me of the old school version of McDonald's, now I say that because I absolutely loved that style and taste of McDonald's b&gs. The staff is always friendly. The ambiance of the place goes with holidays or season. Today they had fresh flowers on the table and Christmas decorations. The only downfall is the hot black coffee is almost four dollars, almost the cost of the b&g! . I always forget when I order it and it usually is burnt. This is from our order two days ago. Placed an order for take out & it was ready in 10 minutes. Not bad for a restaurant around the lunch hour. Here's a rundown of the food. Not pictured: pancakes with strawberries, blueberries and infused with chocolate chips. I was told that it was perfect as is and didn't really need syrup. Also ordered were scrambled eggs with bacon, both cooked well with a good crisp to the bacon. Not pictured: side of biscuits and gravy. Was informed that this was a decent side. Biscuits are small but mighty delicious and the gravy was perfect. Pictured: eggs Benedict which is a filling dish that's well executed. Was told that it is definitely a meal to order on repeat. Pictured: Greek omelet. I've never had this & was intrigued. It's a simple omelet with lots of flavor. It has black olives (I wasn't too sure about it but they worked well), feta cheese and artichoke. It was probably one of the best omelets I have ever had. The seasoned house potatoes were awesome. They had a great amount of seasoning and a good mix of crispy and soft. I could have eaten those all day. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food here, especially given the amount of options on the menu. While some places can't stay consistent with a vast menu, Egg Cetera does a very good job. I'll definitely be back again soon. read more

This was our first time visiting this restaurant and it didn't disappoint. If you live in Wichita area or are just stopping in, you need to try this place. I had Eggs Benedict with Salmon and I was pleased. The hash browns came out seasoned well and crunchy, just like I like. My husband had a Build Your Own breakfast burrito and he said it was good. We shared a Tres Leche Cinnamon roll. This thing was absolutely amazing. I make homemade cinnamon rolls, and this was better than mine. It came out hot, and the cream cheese frosting on top, wasn't too much. My husband had an Irish Coffee and I had the Morning Martini. The price on the drinks is a bit higher than I'd like to pay, but they tasted good. I read previous reviews and staff/service was mentioned as a negative. We had no issues. We got seated quickly, got our drinks and food rather fast, and out waitress was very sweet and helpful. It is a small place, probably seats under 50 people. We will be going back!!! read more

I was so happy I wandered into Egg Cetera for breakfast. The place was clean and the server Aly greeted me with a smile. The coffee was nice and how and tasted good. I went with the build my own Omelet and was really pleased with is. Mushrooms, spinach, onions and chorizo topped with pepper jack cheese. The potatoes were also really good. June 2024 Food: I would recommend the pancakes, we actually just ordered one for the table but it was VERY good. My avo toast was good, but the b&g was underwhelming. Bf thought the screwdrivers were weak, I didn't mind them:) Vibes: it's a little crowded, the outside area is super cute and if it's a nice day I would def have preferred this seating. No wait.I ordered the classic breakfast with medium eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and blueberry pancakes with some toppings on it. Waited like 45 mins for our order then when it finally came out mine was wrong. I got over hard eggs and chocolate chip pancakes with blueberries on top and they were missing the lechera topping. My boyfriend's order was correct. The server Celine was not attentive at all. We had to ask for a refill of water after ours were empty were 10 minutes. Food was great, smaller portions than expected but food was still superb! Servers were nice and willing to answer questions about the menu. It is very popular during brunch hours and can get loud. The only issue I have with the ambiance was how my eyes were burning and watering the whole time. It is a small and quaint restaurant and the kitchen is right next to the customers so the aroma of food or the onions or something was making my eyes burn to the point where I could not enjoy my food. I talked to our kind server about it and she says it's common and all the servers experience it too. Awesome atmosphere and excellent customer service! Clean and country modern with a shabby sheek style. Caleb, our server, was outstanding and very friendly. I ordered the avocado toast, and it was delicious and fresh. The turkey bacon is on point, fresh fruit was some of the best I've had, and the side of beans was a perfect fit for me. Coffee is strong, but still worth a cup to get. My wife ordered the waffle and classic breakfast which was a delight. We finished everything because it was just that good!! It was Mother's Day. We called at 9:27 am to put our name in for 5. We were told 35-40 minute wait. We showed up at 9:55 am and let them know we were there. It was busy. I saw their hand written process of checking people in. They had my name spelled wrong and my phone number written incorrectly. Didn't matter. We were there. All hands were on deck, and multiple managers were there. At 10:30 my husband went inside to find out what was going on, because multiple groups had shown up after us and had been sat before us. He reported back that many 2-3 groups were sat that were checked in or written down after us. At 11:05 when we finally got sat there were about 5 tables open. We heard 2 other groups say they had gotten offered free mimosas for waiting so long but we didn't. When we sat down we ordered immediately. We had to ask 3 times for my tea, which came after the food. They also forgot my side of avocado, which was actually guacamole with onions in it which is why I ask for side of avocado instead of guacamole. After all that, there was no discount or comp offered for the 100 minute wait or the forgetting of the tea. The only saving grace was the food was good. We will not be back. Ambiance: I appreciate the open kitchen concept. The restaurant is a nice size and the booths are comfortable. Things I would change include painting the gray walls white. It's too dark in the space. Changing the lightbulbs so that the color temperature is warmer. The cool daylight bulbs create a very cold and unpleasant light environment. I'd also have the floors refinished to a lighter more neutral color. Service: the wait was acceptable, not too long, and the table service was "ok". Not terrible but also not exceptional. I don't like having to ask for drink refills. The server should be attentive to those needs and anticipate when glasses or mugs are low on beverage. Food: The pancakes are super fluffy and amazing. I could do without the maple butter or at least have known the butter wasn't going to be just normal butter. The Benedict was... eeeh. Please TOAST the English muffins! Soggy, tough muffins are no good. The Waldorf salad... was not a Waldorf salad. No celery, no mayo, it was just fruit and nuts with yogurt on top. If you wanna serve that, that's cool but please list it on your menu accurately. We ordered it because we were expecting it to be non-dairy. With the yogurt instead of mayo... it's no longer non-dairy. read more

Meh at best. Smoked salmon on a bagel? Hardly. They took thin strips of salmon, overcooked on a griddle then put it on top of dry scrambled eggs. No flavor. My son had a basic breakfast with pancakes and a side of French toast. He was repelled by the toast because it had a sour taste. I hate to say this but he had to go regurgitate the food in the restroom while we were still in the restaurant. I am actually tying this review from the table now. I gave it 2 stars because they kept our water and coffee filled. I'm still gonna tip food though. They need to work on their quality. read more
