There are sweet and non sweet items on the menu. We opted to try the mainstays. The #18 Elvis crepe does have quite a lot of fruit in it; the flavor was balanced, but definitely more on the sweet side. I had the #11 hot berry waffle - it was excellent, but the berries were not "hot" temperature wise or spice wise. I'm not subtracting for that as I don't think it affected it flavor wise one way or another. We'd order both again. Service was quick and pleasant, as was the food. Will be back next time we're in the Andover area.

There is great parking, nice natural light. It's clean, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The menu has many choices for breakfast and lunch. I went with steak and eggs. Very happy with my choice and it also included sides of hashbrowns and pancakes. I enjoyed their fresh squeezed orange juice also. The prices are reasonable. I had scrambled eggs and they were light and fluffy and tender. The steak was cooked exactly how I had requested and was tender and flavorful. The hashbrowns were perfect. There's one of their small advantage. They open early. So if you are an early riser and want a great breakfast, come here.

Staff were helpful in making reservations and table accommodations. Initial thoughts: The food however missed the mark. Ordered a variety of items on the dinner menu and most lacked in savory taste. For the price point of items, I did not feel that the value of food matched. Most of our party was not satisfied with items ordered. Service was friendly, however slow on checking in on our table for water refills. I don't know that unless menu items were to change that I would want to return for dinner, but would love to try breakfast. We love local and want to see locally owned thrive - and am hoping to try again in the future and have a different experience.

I have read many of the reviews of Point Nine and, frankly, agree with them. I am giving Point…read moreNine 4/5 stars in the hopes that they will take my comments constructively and become better. First of all, I truly love a restaurant like this in Andover; we've needed a nice establishment that is not a chain restaurant and Point Nine offers this. The ambiance - both inside and outside - is stellar and welcoming. Clean, bright, and colorful, it's a welcome treat in Andover. The beer selection is very nice and their drink menu has something to offer for every patron. The food is great, but Point Nine desperately needs to widen their menu as it's a bit thin on options. I get it: you're new and still experimenting, but you're gonna lose patrons if you do not expand. Furthermore, the service was slow and our waitress openly complained that the "kitchen is too small to accommodate the dining space" and that Point Nine "did not have the food storage space needed to ensure that items did not run out of stock,"...which they did. If this is true - and all the evidence indicates it is - this is a major design flaw in the construction of the actual restaurant. Finally, the menu is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I brought my son for lunch here and did not have any alcoholic drinks, but the bill was still nearly $100. Unacceptable if you plan to sustain yourself in a small-market town with other, cheaper options just several miles down the road. I want Point Nine to succeed in Andover. However, the owners must make serious changes to their current business model.

The Cod sandwich I recommend, unfortunately I've never had anything like it before so I cannot provide any detail in which it can be compared to anything else in town. Salmon was great and had crispy skin, but the Yukon potato could be a bit crispier and the veloute was a bit thin, but otherwise really nice presentation. The caviar was a nice touch, but it was a bit strange on top of the Lays like chips. The duck is a bit well-done, when compared to traditional French style, but it was still pretty tender. The duck glace was pretty good and flavorful -- leans savory and sweet. The sweet potato puree was a good balance to the duck breast, creamy and a bit of zest. Bok choy was slightly over-charred but otherwise ok. The croquette was cool already when we got it so I didn't enjoy that quite as much. Broccolini wasn't my favorite. It was really woody. Maybe it was just my portion, but I should've gotten a different side. Portions were just right. Overall, not a bad place for a Friday night dinner or a little date night!
