First time visiting. Concept and atmosphere was great on a beautiful evening! The covered patio was perfect for what we were wanting to be able to go out with family and small kids. Staff were helpful in making reservations and table accommodations. Initial thoughts: The food however missed the mark. Ordered a variety of items on the dinner menu and most lacked in savory taste. For the price point of items, I did not feel that the value of food matched. Most of our party was not satisfied with items ordered. Service was friendly, however slow on checking in on our table for water refills. I don't know that unless menu items were to change that I would want to return for dinner, but would love to try breakfast. We love local and want to see locally owned thrive - and am hoping to try again in the future and have a different experience. read more

I have read many of the reviews of Point Nine and, frankly, agree with them. I am giving Point Nine 4/5 stars in the hopes that they will take my comments constructively and become better. First of all, I truly love a restaurant like this in Andover; we've needed a nice establishment that is not a chain restaurant and Point Nine offers this. The ambiance - both inside and outside - is stellar and welcoming. Clean, bright, and colorful, it's a welcome treat in Andover. The beer selection is very nice and their drink menu has something to offer for every patron. The food is great, but Point Nine desperately needs to widen their menu as it's a bit thin on options. I get it: you're new and still experimenting, but you're gonna lose patrons if you do not expand. Furthermore, the service was slow and our waitress openly complained that the "kitchen is too small to accommodate the dining space" and that Point Nine "did not have the food storage space needed to ensure that items did not run out of stock,"...which they did. If this is true - and all the evidence indicates it is - this is a major design flaw in the construction of the actual restaurant. Finally, the menu is RIDICULOUSLY overpriced. I brought my son for lunch here and did not have any alcoholic drinks, but the bill was still nearly $100. Unacceptable if you plan to sustain yourself in a small-market town with other, cheaper options just several miles down the road. I want Point Nine to succeed in Andover. However, the owners must make serious changes to their current business model. read more

I would phase this place as hot food served cold. Menu sounded very promising unfortunately it did not remain that way. Once it hit the table. I had ordered the breakfast croissant sandwich, which was sausage, eggs and jam on a croissant. It came on a cold Costco croissant with cold scrambled eggs, a thin piece of sausage patty and some disgusting overwhelming globs of possibly blood orange spiced Christmas marmalade. Like I said, sounded promising, but a horrible combination together. Then the other person in my party had ordered the chorizo biscuits and gravy and they were supposed to come on chive biscuits. He received this glutenous mass of chorizo, thick orange gravy. On cold dry biscuits. As you can see, he only ate a few bites. The only reason I ate mine was because we were on the turnpike for hours and were starving, but I couldn't even finish it. Should have Just hit the McDonald's on the turnpike. Would have been at least hot. I love the atmosphere and the service was great. They have a very nice pet friendly area, but I would never eat there again and not try anything because obviously the person who is making up the menu probably is post Covid and never got their taste and smell back. I gave them two stars because of this service. And the hopes that maybe they will find someone who knows how to cook and keep food hot. read more

The environment is nice! Service is terrible. We waited and waited and waited at every point. It took 20 minutes to get our drinks and there were four servers and four tables! She never came back by and filled our water once when we were there for almost an hour. Food was very meh. My husband compared it to school lunch. Accurate. Save yourself $30 and go get a better burger from Braums. We will not be back. Too expensive for concession stand food and bad, bad service. What a mess of a restaurant. read more

Foods not great. Drinks aren't great. But at least it's expensive. We had high hopes for this place with it being on the Redbud trail but it's just not worth the money you spend to eat there. Also when we arrived our waitress told us it was happy hour and there was even a sign inside saying so. Turns out there is no happy hour on Saturdays so our drinks were twice the price we thought. I can't believe this actually happened to me, I went to their restaurant after a long bike ride, and after 30 of waiting I finally was given my sprite, then ordered tater tots and pizza. and there was literally a dead fly stuck inside the crust of the pizza. We were excited to visit after making an online reservation weeks in advance, only to be told that the reservation system "doesn't work" and ours wouldn't be honored...even though the website STILL says to make them online. Frustrating since the dining room was mostly empty the entire night. We were seated outside at a dirty table, and staff showed little concern or apology. The host was just a jerk the entire night. While our waitress was very kind and did her best (the highlight of the night), there were multiple issues: menu items were unavailable after ordering, requiring us to change our order twice, drinks had to be ordered by going back inside ourselves, and my food arrived incorrect and wasn't properly fixed. What was most disappointing was that the manager never checked on our table, even while attending to other tables...even AFTER he was aware of our reservation issue. A concept unlike any other, truly a unique eatery. I had the French Dip which for whatever reason was the best I've had in my 76 years (fries were hot and tasty too). Service was friendly and prompt, and the cocktails well mixed. But back to that concept . . . a large, beautiful outdoor patio adjacent to a walking, running, biking trail, a perfectly sized private event venue and regular inside seating if preferred. The outdoor space was very nice and inviting. I ordered their smash burger sliders, which were yummy. They're identical and taste exactly the same as small sliders in Wichita. The Mac and cheese had no flavor and was a gritty texture. The southwest egg rolls were dry, they definitely need some sort of sauce inside them. The service was very slow even though there weren't many people, I'm sure that's due to it being new. For 2 people with an appetizer, it cost $95. The food sadly doesn't reflect that price. We enjoy Point Nine regularly as it is right down the street from us! My kids love the outdoor open area and I enjoy eating on the patio. We placed our order, a bloody mary, latte and charcuterie board. The charcuterie board wasn't available so we ordered a bread & jam board instead. We have been to point nine a bunch of times since opening and it is such a great addition to the Andover community! Fresh/ local/ healthy options are lacking in the area and this place is a great option for all of the above! The bar drinks are great and each time we have been in the service has been top tier! I love the outdoor section and seating especially for nice weather. Overall a great spot to dine and to hangout. I highly recommend trying it out! read more

We live in Andover and were so excited for this to open on the Red Bud! Our family went multiple times last summer, and it was never a great experience. Kept going back because it's a great idea with great potential! But the service for us has been awful & the food sub par. The final straw for us was the last time we went and ordered the $16 sliders...and the patty on each bun was smaller than the size of a pizza quarter. We gave up and will try again next summer. So the menu is very limited. My husband had French dip sandwich. It was very dry and way too much smoke in the meat. He also had a Sangria which was loaded with cinnamon. I had the sliders with a coke. The sliders were ok but overpriced by far. I had to go to the bar to get a refill on my coke. The atmosphere was nice. Finally tried Point Nine today in my hometown. I ordered the croissant breakfast sandwich. The homemade sausage was great! The jam on the sandwich was sweet with good flavor, but I think I should've had them keep it off. The sandwich was extremely messy to eat and left me very sticky. Let me start by saying we want this place to survive. Andover needs more local options. We came Sunday for brunch and they were somewhat slow. The interior and exterior spaces were nice and clean. After around 40min, our food came out cold, both dishes. After waiting that long, we chose not to send them back. What's worse is we waited another 5min for the server to bring silverware... how are we supposed to eat with our it? Only got refills when the waiter brought our check. The place has a neat concept, but there's a lot going on with their menu. Server told us what they were out of prior to our order. Pretty rare to see that. Andover is a small town that likely won't sustain this place. Not sure what model they are catering to. They have outdoor toys for kids and a full bar. Seems like a lot going on. I typically ignore early restaurant reviews. In this case, that was a mistake. The venue was clean and appealing. Savannah, the server, was polite, sweet, and did an excellent job. The menu is brief, which I usually believe is a benefit because focusing on a few key items is far better than trying to pull of a Cheesecake Factory menu. Unfortunately, my group was unable to find anything that was tasty. One of the handhelds, the Tour de France, sounded very promising. It was not. We each gave it a try, and none of us wanted to take a second bite. It was just wrong. The Chicken Cesar wrap should have been a safe bet, sadly, it was not. Our server noticed that the sandwiches were not being eaten and inquired. She heard the reviews and did exactly what a server should do... report the issue to the manager. The manager approached quickly and initially had a good table-side manner. She asked about our experience with the food, and we explained our thoughts. Our plates were collected, 90% uneaten, and whisked off to the Chef. A bit later, the manager returned and let us know that they had both sampled our food and it was actually just fine. A flight of silver dollar-sized cheesecakes and a small discount were provided as consolation. Further explanation seems unnecessary. read more
