    Wanted poster

I can't thank Oak & Pie enough for helping my buddy and I to facilitate the ultimate first date prank on one of our best friends. They put a wanted poster we made that said "Wanted for stagecoach robbery and being too handsome" in the menus of our friend and their date and sat us just far enough away to watch their reactions. The prank was a success and his date loved it. Very chill environment and friendly wait staff.

The pizza was so good! Perfect crust and awesome flavor! The service was top notch and the whole vibe was fun. Can't wait to come back!

On of our most favorite places to dine in in Wichita. Their pizzas and soup along with salads are very fresh and delicious. Have their mozzarella balls. We can't say enough great things.

Service from Lauren was excellent with great recommendations on specialties and not just what's good for the day. Food was well balanced and portioned. They do have half-portions if you are eating solo. Wood fired pizza with a dazzling assortment of toppings and sauces. Tried a local brew, Walnut River Warbeard, (love that name,) an Irish Red. Smooth yet deep in flavor Great lighting, easy to park. Prices are outstanding too. Well worth a lunch or dinner visit if you're in Wichita.

Fire food for a great price. Very nice service and great cooking. 10/10 will be back. Get the garlic cheese bread and add pepperoni.

I have to start by saying that the place is adorable! Very nice seating and decor. I shared a Hawaiian pizza with a friend and it was very good! Just the right amount of pineapple and ham. The pizza itself was very undercooked. Could be their style? Either way, that is the reason behind the 4 stars. The star of the show was the mozzarella bites. They were incredible!!!! The sauce for dipping was to die for. I asked the server and he told me it was their tomato soup! Who would have thought?!?!? Amazing, and the service was nice too. No complaints there. Overall, I would return.

Cool place. Local owned. EAT LOCAL !! We try to when we travel. We weren't super hungry but wanted to try this place and it was close to our hotel. Seemed as tho 12" was the only size. Weird if that is the case. For us three we each had 2 slices which was enough that moment but if you were hungry hungry you'd need to order more. The pizza was good. Ours stated it had roasted garlic ... didn't realize that was as going to be a paste/sauce. Didn't like that part. The crust was different in some way that I couldn't figure out. Don't even know how to describe it but I LOVED IT. Service was good.

I came back just for my salad. I knew I had an addiction when I ordered one to go. My fiancé wanted some and I said yes but a part of me wanted to say "Heck No, it's mine!!" I'm usually skeptical when bartenders make lemon drops out here in Wichita but surprisingly my lemon drop was great!! I had a rough day and treated myself to lunch at the bar. It was a little busy but the bar remained peaceful. I will be back again for sure.

    Wood-fired pie? Yes, please!

The TL/DR: you will enjoy this place. Oak & Pie couldn't be better named. The space is huge and airy. The decor is simple and wood-grain. The food is fabulous, whether pizza or more. It's just a darn good choice to make if you're looking for eats in the northeast ICT. I stumbled into O&P on a cold day in need of a warm lunch. The aromas of wood-fired pizza crust wafted throughout, that double-zero flour with a slight char scent. I knew what was going to happen next, and after sampling a local brew (Walnut River, yay!), we ordered up a shareable Oni Oni Pepperoni and waited impatiently until that pie arrived. We had one in our party of three who wished for something different and that wish was granted with a meatball sammich straight from the oven (scorching hot and super fresh). Hey, he missed out on pizza but those meatballs are straight fire! The pizza is amazing! The Oni Oni is lathered with the 'pie sauce', ample mozz, and big slices of pepperoni. I mean, if you're trying out a pizza, why not do a basic topping? It's the crust that makes Oak & Pie stand out, made in house and cooked at temperatures that are likely just shy of the sun's surface. Crispy but not crunchy, holds the toppings all the way to the center, and super flavorful. There are gluten-free options and probably three dozen topping choices, and those are just make your own options. You could put anything on this crust and you'd be happy. It's that good. Big space means lots of seating, airy means it can get kind of loud, but Oak & Pie is a total winner. Come hungry and leave wanting more!

A dairy free sandwich of sorts along with side salad and, distantly, a pepperoni pizza

I asked for a table for 6 and our server Mariah led us to a perfectly set table. She immediately served us waters (Yay!) as she handed us the menus and giving us the happy hour specials. Chris and I have been here a couple of times before and it has never changed! It is still very intimate and cozy! I ordered the Grilled Salmon, Chris had the Beef Fajita bowl, Trizha had the Fish Tacos, Jack had the Dive Burger, Noah had the Chicken Piccata and Houston had Mac n Cheese. Everyone raved about their food. My salmon was grilled to perfection and paired well the orzo! Chris liked his Fajita bowl and said he'll order it again! Mariah was awesome! They posted some special additions such as prime rib so we decided to give it a try. The buffet itself was just a step up from a free hotel breakfast with the addition of salad, tomato/cheese skewers and cake. My assumption was the prime rib would be a traditional hand carved piece of meat, nope. I thought it was odd when the server asked if we would like prime rib and she would bring it to the table. She even had the nerve to ask us how we wanted it and we said medium. What came out was a thin piece of tough overcooked what looked to be skirt steak. It was pathetic at best, an insult at worst. For 3 adults with tip our bill was $170. 3 buffets $41 each, $6 each for 2 cups of coffee, tax and a 3% service charge with no explanation. The service was fair but I don't blame the server as she had too many tables. I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't go back. Overpriced for substandard food.

First, you get bread, butter, and salt. It's quite good! And it seemed like you could get more if you wanted. The appetizer we got was the wood oven roasted feta.. WOW. First, I know a lot of people don't like feta much but this tasted nothing like feta. It was like that super duper cheese taste on cheap pizza... spectacular. The mushrooms weren't really picked but still good, loved the pesto.. I didn't use the flat bread but it was great on the bread I mentioned above! I wasn't expecting this to be so good, it's crave-able. Heard the steak was good, they also got the loaded baked potato.. no complaints. I got the salmon and it was also way better than I was expecting. The beans?? Woah, they are so much more than just beans. They're so savory with bacon and spinach. I couldn't figure out what the yellow sauce was but it added a nice bright note. The beans were the star but the salmon was also good- the fried capers are a nice touch. It was seared super hard and a little overcooked but I didn't give a temperature so I shall next time. Overall this place is great. Totally worth the price although pricey. My bill was for the salmon and I got a dumb fancy water I regret but after tip it was $75. The steak and appetizer plus a soda was $90ish. So, yeah, $$$ but great vibe, great food, great service. We had a party of 7, and we all played Cards Against Humanity. I ordered a cocktail in an IV Bag on theme since Halloween was a week prior. It was a cute gimmick, but the beverage was just ok. I got a beer flight after seeing one of our friends get one, and he said the beers were flat. Sadly, I had to agree that my flight was also flat and we tried different kinds. I did not get any food here, but some people in our party did and seemed to enjoy it. We then played some of the video games (they got arcade cabinets, Hyperkin RetroN style consoles where you can play NES/SNS/N64, and more), pinball, and they even have pool. The staff was chill and attentive. They have a change machine to get quarters to play the games, and a plethora of board games you can play as well. Plenty of parking as it's in a large strip mall. I came in to play magic, I came alone and sat alone for about two hours waiting for anyone wanting to play. During that time I opened a tab. Later, after I had found a group and played for a while when I went to close my tab I found a surprise $6 charge for a large group fee. Nevermind my group only had 4 players at a table, and that there was no signage or warning anywhere talking about this charge. Had I not opened a tab I would not have had to pay the charge at all. When I went to talk to them about it, there was no understanding that I had been alone for a large portion of the night, or that the group wasn't as large as they said it was (the charge is for 6+ people). It also didn't matter that I spend money at their store basically every time I come in. This place does not care, only wants to suck your money out of you any way it can. The service is awful. I could understand having no table service at all since it considers itself a bar, but to have random staff walking around maybe once an hour if you are lucky, asking for your order, it's just not good. Safe to say I'll go spend my money somewhere else.
