    Seasonal Pumpkin Spice Creme Brûlée
    Ashley F.

I stumbled upon this quaint place this evening by accident but I am happy that I did. I walked in and was immediately greeted and told I could choose my table. They shared with me what beverages they have available, and I chose the house made lavender lemonade. It was absolutely the right choice and delicious. I then proceeded to order the Cajun pasta with shrimp, side, salad with ranch, and the seasonal pumpkin spice, crème brûlée dessert. The side salad was a great portion. The ranch dressing was a little watered down. The Cajun pasta was beautifully flavored and robust. The noodles were cooked to perfection, and the shrimp was delicious. It does come with tails. The bread they serve it with is so fresh! (Make sure you check your teeth after. There are a lot of spices). The pumpkin spice crème brûlée was served cold and creamy, with a perfectly crunchy, crisp top layer to make it a classic crème brûlée with a flare. My only complaint was that when I was greeted, I was not told it was happy hour and it was assumed that I didn't want an alcoholic beverage as I was not asked or told. Overall, Atlanta and Savannah did great! Thank you! Please reference photos for all the yumminess!

I ordered the kitchen burger which is just their own burger blend, tomato, onion, lettuce. The burger was excellent. Well seasoned, juicy, and the vegetables added the texture and helped cut the richness of the meat. The fries were divine. Perfectly crispy and salted with a parseley garnish. Unfortunately the waiter missed a few things with my order. The meat was more well done and i asked for med rare. I also asked for american cheese but was given cheddar. Still a great spot and will likely be coming back. Cheers!

    Thai bowl with avocado

First time at the new location on north Oliver. Started with Caprese Garlic Bread which was delicious. I ordered a Thai Bowl with avocado since I refuse to eat "corporate farmed" chicken. It was actually bland which was disappointing. My friend ordered the creamy spinach pasta with mushrooms and carmelized mushrooms. It was more interesting and had more flavor. Isn't Thai food supposed to have some zing to it?

My wife often gets takeout from here, so she suggested we try it for a sit-down lunch. Despite the decent food, the one-hour wait wasn't worth it. If you go for sit down lunch, expect a bit of a wait.

Very happening place in downtown Wichita. They do not take reservations and i was not sure where to park because of union station signs allover. I like the waitresses concept of working as a teamwork and helping all the tables. Hidden gem in Wichita with so many option of food to choose from. Beef stroganoff is amazing I guess when Chris is in the kitchen. I got southwest chicken bowl. Wish they would put more of the sauce, it was just a little on the dry side. Do not forget to order their chips and spinach's artichoke dip. Amazing chips. Small space so loud atmosphere. I will definitely stop again to try another dish.

The Kitchen offers a trendy dining experience with artfully plated dishes and craft cocktails in downtown Wichita. My friend and I recently enjoyed an evening out there, sampling several menu items that left us impressed overall. We kicked off our meal with a couple of cocktails - the passionfruit drink provided a refreshing tropical flavor while the boozy lavender lemonade balanced sweet and floral notes. For appetizers, we went with the caprese garlic bread. The garlic flavor was complimented by the balsamic glaze and tomatoes. For our main entrees, we tried the Nashville hot chicken sandwich and the chicken & waffle. The Nashville hot chicken came out crispy and spicy with the chicken breast absolutely massive in size - this is not a sandwich for small appetites! The chicken & waffle featured a large fried chicken breast perched above a fluffy Belgian-style waffle. While the chicken was on the drier side, the waffle itself was delicious, especially combined with the accompanying hot honey sauce. To finish, the creme brulee had a perfectly custardy interior topped with a brittle burnt sugar crust. It was rich and smooth. The indoor seating at The Kitchen is quite limited, but they have ample outdoor patio space. The vibe is trendy and upbeat, and our server was very friendly. We also heard that one of the chefs was on Chopped! I would recommend it to anyone seeking a special night out with cocktails and artfully crafted dishes.

Every time I eat here it's fantastic but for a recent date night we had beef stroganoff and steak diane; both filets were cooked absolutely perfectly! It's so delicious!!!!!

Less positive: Door cover charge (this could have been because of the live band? Not sure if there's always a cover) $10 each, not terrible. They have drinks online that look great, but none of the bartenders knew how to make them and they seemed confused when we showed them the online menu we were ordering from. There are no menus anywhere but online. We did find food menus but no drink menus so that's why we pulled the online one. For a cocktail lounge, I assume they have mixed drinks they create beyond your traditional cocktails. So it was a bummer no one knew the menu. So we just ordered traditional cocktails. Our bartender was great all night and our drinks tasted good and the bill was low. The live band was great and there was a dance floor for some two step. Everyone seemed to be having fun and we really enjoyed our time here. We are going to come back when there isn't a live band to see how it is and if there is no cover, so I'll update my review then. Overall 8/10 experience. I think if they just had mixed drinks for cocktail lounge it would be 10/10

From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

We try to check out a new place during each trip and wound up back at river city brewery. However! There was great live music coming from across the parking lot. My partner is a cigar smoker but it was my first time. We opted for the Havana Honey, which was a smaller cigar. Our server got us all set up and that choice was pretty good! I now see the hype. They have a large drink menu but I stuck with a Michelob Ultra. We came back the next day and Sundays was $1 off drafts so we did the same thing again. The live music was great. In an era where most establishments are hiking prices and cutting corners on quality, The Belmont is doing the exact opposite. It is rare to find a place that excels equally in atmosphere, service, and flavor, but this spot manages to nail the trifecta! From the second we walked in, the hospitality was on point. We were greeted immediately by a friendly host and escorted to a table within five minutes. Our server was a true professional, appearing just two minutes later with cold waters already in hand. The restaurant itself is clean, elegant, and modern. easily one of the best restaurant vibes I've encountered in a long time. It's the kind of place that feels sophisticated yet welcoming. Do yourself a favor and order the giant cinnamon roll. It is a absolute powerhouse of a starter! phenomenal frosting, a perfectly crispy exterior, and sized to share (though you might not want to). The Wagyu Smash Burger was pure excellence. It was incredibly juicy and packed with that rich, savory flavor you only get from high-quality Wagyu. I also tried the Chicken Sandwich; the flavor profile was spot on and the bread was high-quality and fresh. While the chicken itself was a hair on the dry side, the overall composition of the sandwich was still impressive. Everything was great, but the Truffle Mac and Cheese is the reason you come here. It was, quite simply, absolute perfection. The noodles were executed with a flawless al dente bite, a rarity in many kitchens, and the seasoning was impeccable. I've eaten at some of the best spots across the country, and this easily ranks in my Top 5 Mac and Cheese dishes of all time. The Belmont is a must-visit in Wichita.
