Since it was raining outside, I didn't see anyone sitting in the patio at all which translated to longer wait times. Despite the wait, the smoked artichoke dip was delicious. However, the chicken sandwich had a little too much sauce on it so it was messy to eat with my hands, but otherwise it was delicious and crispy. The inside of the restaurant was well-lit and modern.

We came back based on recommendations from a person we trust. Portion size was better. Potato wedges were really good. Pasta salad was tasty. The batter on the fish in the sandwich had a burnt taste to it. Somehow I missed the spicy after kick in the description and I heard malt vinegar but missed tartar sauce. Maybe next time

Not a very big place, Saturday night about 25-30 minute wait. It is very loud, not much for intimate conversations. Service was great. Food wise Salmon dip was amazing, chicken salad sandwich was ok. Grilled chicken with peppers was pretty good, side is a bag of chips or up charge for average potato salad.

The soup was really delicious! The cheeseburger my husband ordered was equally so. It was wonderful to enjoy the fresh flavors and vibrant energy of the staff and decor. I would go again alone or with friends. Such a great little sandwich shop.

Steak Fry appetizer (ask for all of the sauces!)

A smaller spot but high top, table, booth, and bar seating available. We started with the wedge fry appetizer, recommend asking for all the dips/condiments- makes it a fun experience! Our server recommended the Roadrunner salad and it was a great! I added grilled chicken and it was worth it- they give you an ample portion and it was very flavorful. I recommend keeping the Jalapeño ranch, their traditional ranch dressing has a strong parsley flavor. We had the chicken nugget kids meal at our table as well and it's homemade nuggets and 1-2 apples worth of slices. The chicken noodle soup was not for me, but I know is for someone, it's hearty but kind of smoky/earthy flavored.

Love these weirdly named 'bird' sandwiches. The tomato bisque is a different texture and flavor but pretty good.

If you're big into mixed drinks this is your place. This is mine and my husband's favorite date…read morespot. We love getting a good cocktail and listening to live music. Dockum has both great cocktails, and great entertainment. I really like the atmosphere here every single time. It's dim, it's romantic, it's lively. Our waitress every time has been the same girl and she's fabulous and attentive. Her name is Elvia, shoutout to her! We have our favorite drinks here, but always try something new each time. Never had a bad drink here. Our favorites are: The Last Word, Dizzy Dame, Cinder and Smoke. You can't go wrong with anything you order honestly. We could sit here for a few hours. It's also a speakeasy. It's under ground, you have to knock to get in. Overall it's just a cool vibe for something downtown in Wichita. It is my favorite spot to go. If you are in town visiting or a local, I recommend this place 1000%.

When our waitress came by, we told her it was our first visit and that we needed a little time with the menu. We ordered drinks, but they came out at odd times--two arrived quickly, while the other two took noticeably longer. My husband ordered a Bijou, which is a unique cocktail, and it seemed to take a while for the bar to figure out how to make it. Still, the drinks were good once they arrived. For food, we tried the burnt ends and the JoJos. The JoJos were excellent--crispy and flavorful--but the burnt ends were disappointing, served a bit cold and lacking in flavor. Things really unraveled with our second round of drinks. Service slowed to a crawl, and we eventually learned that our waitress had been sent home by the manager even though the bar was packed on a Friday night. A young server, only two weeks into the job, was left to take over, and unfortunately, he had no idea what he was doing. Another waitress stopped by to help but admitted she usually works upstairs in the restaurant and didn't know the cocktail menu either. The shift in service quality from the first round of drinks to the second was very jarring. There was live music, but the sound system wasn't great, so it didn't add much to the atmosphere. We did order desserts from the upstairs restaurant, which were a nice finish, but by the end of the night it was clear the staff was overwhelmed. As we left, we even saw the manager outside looking exhausted, which made us feel bad for the whole team. Overall, while the drinks were solid and the JoJos worth trying, the experience was inconsistent and stressful. Maybe we just got caught up in an off night of drama, but I wouldn't recommend Dockum for more than one drink.

From their facebook and the article I got the vibe it was a Cocktail Lounge/Bar with live music etc. We came on a Friday night, there was a good amount of people in the bar. Everyone seemed to be in good spirits enjoying their drinks. We sat at the bar and the bartender Julian helped us. He was very friendly and approachable. I order the Suga Suga How You Get So Fly (it is an espresso martini with a cinnamon rim and a brown sugar syrup) my husband got the Mr. M Berry. Unfortunately I did not like my drink, I drank my husband's drink. His drink was good. Mine tasted very syrupy and artificial in flavor. We decided to stay for one more drink to leave on a good note. I ordered a Tequila Old Fashion (not on the menu) and my husband got Moxie's 4x4. These were a lot better than our first drink. For my old fashion it was very thick and syrupy, but I let the ice melt for a while and it was a better texture. I plan on coming back with some girlfriends and maybe trying some new drinks. As well I think I would like when they have live music more. They were playing really loud club music. Rap and R&B. Don't get me wrong I like that music. But not at a Cocktail Lounge Bar. I was hoping for something a little more relaxing and sensual. Dimmer lights and music to match that vibe. I know it's new so maybe they are still trying to adjust the overall aesthetic. Overall it was a 4/5 maybe a 3.5/5. I will give a more updated review my second time around with the live music and other drinks. Bartender and service: 5/5 Prices are reasonable. Bar is clean and well kept. Menu: 1/5. They are hard to read and flip pages.

Everyone raved about their food. My salmon was grilled to perfection and paired well the orzo! Chris liked his Fajita bowl and said he'll order it again! Mariah was awesome! They posted some special additions such as prime rib so we decided to give it a try. The buffet itself was just a step up from a free hotel breakfast with the addition of salad, tomato/cheese skewers and cake. My assumption was the prime rib would be a traditional hand carved piece of meat, nope. I thought it was odd when the server asked if we would like prime rib and she would bring it to the table. She even had the nerve to ask us how we wanted it and we said medium. What came out was a thin piece of tough overcooked what looked to be skirt steak. It was pathetic at best, an insult at worst. For 3 adults with tip our bill was $170. 3 buffets $41 each, $6 each for 2 cups of coffee, tax and a 3% service charge with no explanation. The service was fair but I don't blame the server as she had too many tables. I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't go back. Overpriced for substandard food.
