This place is pretty fun for some cheap shots & cocktails & corn hole. In order to play corn hole, you must exchange your ID for the bean bags. The corn hole boards seemed further away from each other than what I was used to. I tried the gin fizz (had sparkling water & pomegranate in it) & thought it was just ok. For the price however, it was decent (~$6). The outdoor space is huge with fake grass & hanging lights. Inside they have a table top game where you try to get a swinging ring to land on a hook. My party got 5 drinks for $30 which was very affordable. The venue is large so the space is great for big groups. They have a photobooth & pool tables indoors as well. read more

I go to the "lodo" area of Denver almost every weekend and this place has become my favorite spot to go! There is an awesome outdoor area, where even on a busy Friday night we were able to snag a table. Clean rest rooms with no lines (usually) and drink prices are in line with the area; two vodka pineapples ran me about $15. There's a dance floor area inside and they even take requests ...you can imagine how happy a drunken Adry was when they played Spice Girls. Looooved our visit here before a Saturday evening Rockies game. We had been to the location in RiNo and loved their concept, but hadn't been to the new location. Which turns out to be amaaaazing. The inside and patio are both huge and so this place can definitely hold a crowd. Good thing as the bike/bus bar crawl tours appear to stop here. I had the paloma, which is my favorite drink and easily the best version I've ever had. Didn't taste like tequila at all and went down very smoothly. Could easily spend the day drinking those. My husband loves their whiskey and was very content with it over the rocks. They offer a moscow mule in a can, which sounds fun and is only $5 (cocktails are $7+). Went to an OrderUp event here last night-- the space is phenomenal, particularly inside. I think the 'backyard game' theme is gettin' a bit tired, but I played a few rounds of cornhole with she-beaux anywho (2 - 3 Mad Chad, in case you wondered). Speaking of wondering, it occurred to me that service might be affected at an event where everything's free, so on the way there I hoped they paid the bar staff a healthy flat rate or something up front. I'm waaaay happy to report that the bar service was on point, especially given the large crowd (with no one tippin'). Those fools served it all up with smiles and chit-chat, and THAT is the mark of true customer service. Even if I hated the place, I'd be back just because I felt the bar staff was very, very impressive. The crowd wasn't one I typically roll with, but that's not a deterrent to my return or a criticism in any way. One criticism I do have, however, is that crushed ice. I loathe crushed ice, but I spend the first 45 seconds with any cocktail standing over a trashcan dumpin' them cubes anyway. Unless it's an old fashioned from Argyll's. When did this place go so down hill?!? I used to LOVE mile high spirits but no more. I went with some friends on a Saturday night and the place has been over run with obnoxious rude bros. I love this place. I've always had great experiences there (from what I can remember). When I have a beautiful day off, this is the place I want to be. Hutch's cocktails are ON POINT and are sure to do get you feeling good quickly. The $7 per drink price point is super reasonable and I would gladly spend $8 if it means supporting a local business because the service is just that great. After my introduction to the new location, I am less than eager to return. The drinks are still amazing, and I am guessing this place will be successful and popular, but it just felt uncomfortable and lost some of the magic from the old spot. The service was OK, the place was about half full, and the drinks were fantastic! The space is huge, the location is interesting and it feels hyper trendy. Most of the patrons were either young hipsters or older and dressed like people in LA. We found two open seats in the early evening at the bar, got some bevvies and watched the show. The service was acceptable, but lackluster. The younggins got a major buzz on and were actin a fool. Then, once we were settled in at the end of the bar, the staff came around and collected all the stools no one was occupying leaving us floating at the end. They did it right as two people were approaching some too, explaining that it was about to get too busy. It was all very awkward. Plus, the vibe was just unfriendly while I feel like the old spot was welcoming and interesting. It was smaller, but still large and felt intimate and fun with all the little seating options. This larger space is more uniform in your options to sit, and it just feels weird spending these high prices on fancy drinks with the large homeless population lingering around on the same block. I am sure they will be successful and fill up with their quality locally made drinks, but it just isn't my scene. I will likely give it another try, but the old place is gone forever. read more

They have a great patio outside, which usually has a food truck. The inside is a HUGE space that has more of a 'clubbish' atmosphere most nights. I highly recommend that you try the Blueberry Mule. They are strong and SO good! Note: Usually, when you order a mule, they will ask to hold your ID, so dont forget it! The manager, Kevin, is a really nice guy. We ended up at this distillery after walking from the great divide brewery. It's such a large space with pool tables, cornhole, and tvs to watch sports games. At the bar, there's jars of vodka soaking fruits or veggies. I tried their strawberry kiwi vodka in a drink called the strawberry kiwi fizz, the cost was $7. My friend got their Bloody Mary mix with the pickle pepperoncini vodka. I thought it would be weird but it was very delicious. The mix had a little bit of kick which made it a tad spicy. My fiancée and his friend got their Moscow mule, they weren't too impressed as they have had better. As our night went on, we moved on to shots. The vodka with the soaked fruits or veggies were good by themselves too. Such a fun atmosphere, so if you ever stop by, I suggest the Bloody Mary mix with the pickle pepperoncini vodka! read more

Ever since moving to their new location, I've been nothing but impressed. From the moment you walk in, you're wowed by the space. It's a large repurposed warehouse that has been filled with what looks like reclaimed wood furniture. The brown leather furniture is clean, cozy, and inviting. The chandeliers are also a work of art. The overall resulting aesthetic is artsy without being overwhelming. Their is an outdoor area that is popping on spring and summer nights. Corn hole tournaments are common and easy. Picnic tables and barrels as drink tables add to the easy, outdoor atmosphere. The drinks are all winners. I'm usually partial to a tequila cocktail of some sort. That said, my hands down winner every time is the blueberry peach mule: it's a twist on a traditional Moscow mule with their own infused vodka. I came here on a Friday for a friends birthday and we had a great time. The place was definitely busy, but it wasn't busy to where you couldn't walk through the crowd. There was also a cash bar located near the entrance if you didn't want to wait in line. I don't believe it was full service, though. The service at the bar was pretty fast, I ordered a rum and coke for $6 and a Moscow mule with peach and blueberry vodka which was fantastic. I think that drink was around $6 as well. The infused vodka was really good, it wasn't too sweet and fruity and it wasn't artificial tasting. The music playing was a mix of late 90s and late 2000s. I thought it was a fun mix. We came here in the afternoon where you could actually sit but even then the drinks took a while, which is no different than the original location. I feel like these drinks aren't quite as loaded but they still do a really good job with their concoctions. The bartenders were really nice and good and overall we enjoyed the vibe. read more

We're from Seattle and just visiting for the weekend. We popped into Mile High and were very impressed! I love the indoor space, as well as the outdoor. It was great to sit outside and enjoy our cocktails. They had lawn games and good music playing (although pretty loud). I like the new venue. It keeps the old RiNo feel, but adds a space and the downtown feel. A good alternative to the traditional Lodo scene, but similar if you are into that. The new location - is AMAZING! Lots of different kinds of seating, a huge bar, nice bathroom I am not a hard alcohol drinker - so when i'm stuck at a place with no beer, i need some help. What is unfortunate for a non-hard alcohol drinker is when i ask, what can i put with the cherry burboun and the response is - well... anything... if i knew what went with what i would have offered it. I need help trying to figure out what to drink and with what! I'm excited for them and hope they do well, but if you aren't a hard alcohol drinker, maybe do some research before you go, or really presure the bar tenders to help you find something you like. read more

It could just be the spirits talking through me, or it could be that I'm not yet ecstatic about the distilleries in my home city of Indianapolis, but Mile High is fantastic, and will be a reason to come back to Denver. The space and service alone are solid. The bartending and distilling overlap, so everyone is an expert and are excited to geek out about the fascinating process of creating the liquors you can get here. We went on a short tour of the facilities, and the twists and turns in the distilling process demonstrate the kind of commitment and craft you'd expect for a product so tasty. The warehouse space is filled out with couches, high tables, TVs, a few games, and a bar -- good for large groups but still cozy with a few day drinkers. The liquor itself is very good, and everything sold here is made right here. I started with a cucumber mule -- to be clear, my mule experience 'til now has only been non-cucumber -- and it was the best mule I've had, bar none. We tried a few of the other liquors and everything was top-notch, with creative infusions that weren't overbearing or tacky. read more

This bar/distillery used to be in the heart of the RiNo neighborhood, which used to be stumbling distance from my house. Drinks are great, best Moscow Mule in town. However, now their new location on 22nd and Lawrence has become a bro mecca. They now play less eclectic music and focus on the tunes you would hear at The Tavern, The View House or and lodo hotspot. It is crowded and getting a drink is stressful and sometimes 15+minutes. They could benefit greatly from a smaller bar somewhere in their large open warehouse. This may sounds biased but it is important to note that the vibe has changed entirely. Kudos to the owners for making a killing. Fireside whiskey is still in my liquor cab. read more

I love this place! Their drinks are awesome, bartenders are awesome- especially Lauralee. They have a bunch of fun games to play indoors and out. During the week it's pretty casual and relaxed. A nice little spot to unwind and have some fun with friends. It turns into a night club on the weekends and it's packed so get there early if you don't want to wait in line! I found the cocktails to be pretty mediocre and the environment unenjoyable due to the absurdly loud music. If I wanted to be deaf I'd go to a club. To top it off, the bartender decided to increase my tip thinking I wouldn't notice. Pro tip bud, if the customer takes their receipt they can check. I went here on a Saturday night. I was able to get a drink quickly and there wasn't a line to get in at 10:30pm. The crowd was people mostly in their early to mid 20's. I went with some friends for a birthday and we had fun. The DJ is great! I sorta loved and hated that he would only play about 30 seconds of any song, that takes some major skill! This is a great place to come and chill with some friends and grab some infusions. Mile High has its own liquor, and then they infuse it with different things. There is an entire wall of infused liquor. They offer a tasting tray as well as a cocktail menu that uses their infused liquors. This place is a little dark, and the service isn't amazing, but overall nice place to check out and support local alcohol. I have been here twice, both on off times, one of which was about 20 min after they opened. We were the only people in the lounge/bar and it still took about 5 minutes to get recognized even though we were standing right at the bar. Overall, nice place to check out and get some drinks, cozy chairs/couches to sit in, and it has a pool table. I'll be back when in the area. read more
