Second time here today. They wand you down like your at a high profile celebrity event. Once your in it's fun! Silent disco was a blast.

Based on reviews and a colleague's recommendation, my gfs and I decided to check this place out. This place is big and spacious when you walk in. They have a bar area, tables and chairs (cleared out after 10 pm), a stage for DJ or live band, and a door to outside their patio. The place is clean and the bathrooms are too. They also have an area with couches to relax on. This place make their own assortment of drinks so you will not find any kind of beer or wine on their menu. My gf ordered a mango vodka and I ordered their pineapple mule which was absolutely delicious. They cleared their tables and chairs out for an open floor for dancing. There was a DJ there that night. He played a pretty good mix of music. The crowd there is mainly college kids. It's a great place for dancing but not to potentially meet anyone if you're in you're late 30s.....hehe....maybe for the guys if they wanna pick up baby chicks and be their sugar daddy. They do have a food truck outside if you're hungry which we didn't try. We had fun and would definitely come back for dancing and the good mix of music. read more

In case you missed it- a man was shot in the leg here on Friday night (6/1/18). The security and staff did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to help the man shot or he situation. We were directly next to the man and had to help him to the ground and make a tourniquet for his leg while we called 911. We even had to shout at the staff to turn the music off because everyone on the staff just stood there with no plan of what to do in a situation like this. I understand that people panic in these types of situations. However, after the man left in the ambulance, we waited to make our statements to the police and the security staff was LAUGHING about the man getting shot, saying they've been shot before and blah blah just cracking up laughing. At the same time we are sitting there very upset about what we just witnessed. These staff member kept coming over near us and laughing and joking very loud on purpose- it was incredibly rude and I will never set foot in that place again. You think It's funny that you had a shooting in your own bar??? The only person concerned was a very nice female bartender that brought us water while we waited and kept apologizing that we had to witness that- thank you for your compassion but the rest of the security staff should be fired immediately. It was truly disgusting how they reacted. I wonder what the owner has to say. Don't go to this bar because if there is an emergency situation- you are out of luck. read more

Loved this place. Went in for opening on Friday so it was not very busy. Tried a flight. They have two options: 3/10 or 5/15. They make their own infused alcohols with things like almond tequila, pickle vodka and strawberry bourbon. The tasting is the way to go! They sell bottles at a very reasonable price. Got the peach whiskey it was delicious. Service was friendly and informative. Will stop again when in the area. Don't let the neighbourhood deter you it worth checking out read more

This is a fantastic place. There's a HUGE dance/club area, a HUGER outside patio area where you can play bags, drink, etc. and there are multiple ways you can get to a bar, with a reasonable wait time. The Moscow miles were amazing and very reasonably priced, my total tab was only around $30. One tip: don't bring shoes that look terrible with dirt on them to this place. I'd stick with brown or black shoes because I was spilled on by multiple people, and the floors are littered with trash/spilled drinks. Minus one star for sloppiness, but you know what you're getting into going to a place like this. read more

Mile High Spirits was one of my favorite discoveries on my first visit to Denver back in 2013. We liked it so much we went twice during our stay. Since then, the location has changed and Denver has a lot more to offer in terms of distilleries. On our visit this April, we started a sunny Saturday at Mile High Spirits, and we weren't alone in our plan. There was a band and lots of people getting the party started early in the day. There were only one or two bartenders and the wait time for a beverage was pretty significant. This time, the focus seemed to be less on the distillery/spirits and more on the rowdy bar aspect. It was fine, but not really what we were looking for with respect to a chill Saturday. If a party scene is what you're after, Mile High certainly fits the bill. For higher quality cocktails, I'd probably look elsewhere. Nonetheless, a fun place for a drink. read more

Don't go to Mile High Spirits unless you like being roofied or shot. I'm not sure if it's the establishment that attracts such a bad crowed or what the deal is but I've heard of several people being roofied at this bar. It's a young and immature crowed which typically attracts negativity. Don't waste your time! read more

This review is for the Bloodies and Bluegrass brunch at MHS during the warmer months where there's a food truck pulled up out front and you can sit at a mister table out on the back patio. The food truck when we went was Mestizos Mile High Eats and the portions were a bit bigger than we expected so we totally over ordered but everything was delicious. Drinks at the bar were also well made and it's nice to have so much room to spread out in the patio lawn area. Inside, the venue is pretty roomy with a decent amount of space to enjoy a band on the stage and not be overly crowded getting a drink at the bar. This is a great more intimate live music venue. read more

We came here for a friends birthday party last weekend, boy does this place get packed! The Dj was spinning some great tunes, they have a pool table, tv's, and an awesome outdoor patio. I'm your typical Vodka and Soda kind of gal. What i love about this place is the variety of 'vodka sodas' you can have. They offer different infused vodkas from pineapple to cucumber! If you're feelin' a little adventurist- try a Dirty Pepperoncini martini- SO delicious! Everything was priced around $7. With so many bars popping up all over lodos offering your typical burnett's vodka- its nice to have an option to try something local, smooth, infused, and distilled right on site! read more

Something to know about MHS: It's a bar first, distillery second. Now, that doesn't mean it's bad or comparatively worse or better than anywhere else - that just means it's that thing. Don't go in expecting a calm, quiet, distillery with a tasting room and things like that. That's simply not it. I went on a Thursday night to a private event, which meant they were closed to the general public. So that helped keep crowds low, and certainly made it less rowdy. But the overall feel is definitely wide open bar - they've got a stage and plenty of room to boogie - more than a distillery. Cocktails were just fine, the spirits themselves aren't my favorite but they certainly taste better than most things you'd find in the well at your local dive bar, and the service was really great. They also have happy hour, and great happy hour prices, which earns them the full 4th star. At the end of the day drinks aren't super expensive, I've heard loads of stories about fun music (DJs, Bands, etc) and it's a nice place to hang out. I don't think I'd have any interest in hanging out when LoDo turns to BroDo after 10p, but who knows, I might surprise myself. If friends wanted to go here, I probably wouldn't say no. If you're looking for a local place in downtown Denver, this is your place! Walking in, you already feel welcomed. It's a bright and chill vibe life's down with tons of wood to match the theme. They hand infuse every vodka they have with flavors like honey bourbon, pineapple, blueberry, mango tequila and the list goes on and on. We were in Denver and had read about tours at Mile High Spirits. My GF is a bourbon lover and we saw that had a few tasty looking bourbon choices. We decided to book a tour and took The Steamy Wonder Special (Free Tour). We had the good luck of getting Hailey for our tour guide. She knew the distilling process down cold and did a great job of explaining the process and the different spirits that Mile High Spirits produces. Hailey was very entertaining and is a great representative Mile High Spirits. She described which of their products we may enjoy after listening to what we already liked from other distilleries. Hailey did a great job of promoting their products without doing a hard sell. All of their products were available for sale plus they had a full bar. If you are lucky enough to get Hailey as your tour guide mention that you work for OSHA plus are from the Chicago suburbs and you can score a few extra samples. read more

Me and my friends have came here a few times. The first couple there were a few teenager looking groups I thought nothing of. We figured they just looked young and we assumed had just turned 21, due to having IDs checked at the door. Tonight however I witnessed the bouncer, who was incredibly rude to most people, take bribes from two separate groups of clearly underage kids. The first time it happened when we were in line behind the groups. The second we witnessed on the way to the way to the bathroom. This is such a fun place! I don't even remember how I stumbled into this here gem (maybe drunkenly after my brewery tour?!). We came here in the early afternoon (around 2PM) and didn't see the same night crowds. They had happy hour infused drinks for $6 during the time we came here (Oct 2016)! I believe they are $7 now. Those drinks were YUMMY! Seriously, you can't go wrong with their infused drinks. They also allowed us to take a shot of this almost Szechuan style drink, which just shows you how creative this place gets. (By the way, the shot totally left your tongue numb afterwards as you can't taste anything either). It's a large warehouse and there was plenty of space to hang around. I am absolutely in LOVE with Mile High Spirits. Not only is it a great weekend spot that isn't too crowded but the drinks truly never disappoint. If you like moscow mules this is the place to go. They have house infused liquors that they make into mules or really any other drink you could want and the bartenders are extremely talented. On any given day or night you can walk into Mile High Spirits and there will always be people in there having a great time. I love that they have a DJ on Saturday nights. The service alone is noteworthy, each time I go in the bartenders are friendly and make an effort to make sure you are enjoying your time at their bar. If you like spicy drinks give the pickle-pepperoncini vodka mule a try, it is spicy and delicious. Another favorite of mine is the cucumber mule, it is thirst quenching and light. This place is essentially a nightclub in a warehouse, nothing more. If it's last call and you want some, come here and you will be sure to find something. It's loud, crowded, dirty, exciting, has an outdoor area which is refreshing, and has a bunch of infused alcohols just like some other places around town. The blueberry vodka is quite good as is the black cherry bourbon. I don't know why the line was so long to get in because there really isn't anything special about this place but if you want to get lit and party like there's no tomorrow, maybe you should check this place out. read more

I was in Denver for a Colorado Democrats meeting / reception. This place is very urban chic. They distill vodka, rum, whiskey, tequila and I think make their money selling mixed drinks from the large number of fluids behind the bar. I'm not much of a foofy cocktail drinker. Best place to visit for a local beverage! Hutch was our bartender and he was pretty knowledgeable about cocktails and Denver! He crafted our cocktails and gave us samples to try. The drinks were just $6 during the time we went. Apparently this is the place to be but we went during the Rockies game which worked in our favor. They have corn hole and other games for you to play. Inside is pretty chill as well with tons of space along with some views of the distillery inside. As far as drinks go, there are tons of options ranging from sweet to sour, clear to brown liquor. The bartender is nice and friendly and lets you sample drinks before you dive in for a full glass. This is good because some of the flavors are pretty intense (I'm looking at you pepperoncini). I went here for the first time (No, hadn't been to the "old" place). I was invited to an event here mid-week and promised to stop by. I hadn't planned on staying long, but ended up staying a bit longer because of the (1) Strong drinks (2) Good company (3) Outdoor games. It was a gorgeous evening and we enjoyed the outdoor patio section, played some games and caught up. The moscow mule options are SUPER tasty. I enjoyed two of those, if you are a copper-cup-moscow-mule-fan - these are one for the books! Overall, I love the casual space, the warehouse look, the laid back and open location. The drinks are tasty, strong and reasonably priced. The bums right next door are a bit sketchy, but that's a big city for you? I wouldn't like to walk around alone at night however. Not only did the give her and ice pack and offer medical attention but they personally drove us back to our house to make sure she was okay. Even though we were the only 4 people in the bar on a Monday night, we had a BLAST all thanks to Noah and Kyle! They kindly recommended different vodkas each for our different tastes (all were very tasty!) and even brought out corn hole for us to play. Mile High Spirits is easily one of the most ratchet "distilleries" I ever been to. Don't be fooled - it is a night club and attracts a younger crowd. For those who are looking for a hype DJ and to practice their twerk, this is the place for you. Personally, it may not be for me and I don't think the atmosphere is worth the wait in line. Mile High Spirits infuses their own liquor, which I can appreciate, however the quality is poor. I don't wish to discredit Mile High as I know a lot of people enjoy this place, however there are many other places in LoDo that offer the same hype with a slightly more enjoyable atmosphere. If you are looking to dance and let loose, try View House or Herbs for live music. read more
