Food always delicious. Chicken Kabob plate and an afghani pizza is always our go to!!

Sadly, "Milanos" in Manteca closed down a couple of years ago, and I've tried this place a few times, and it hasn't been a great experience.. 1. This is just speculation, but I have a feeling the owner was under the influence of alcohol when I first ordered food from here. His speech was very slow over the phone, and he kept saying "I love you bro" when we ended the order. To be clear, I am not making this up... 2. The Gyros are not very great. The pita bread wasn't soft, the gyro meat texture felt like it had been reheated, and it just wasn't good. 3. The French fries are TERRIBLE! They obviously heat them in the pizza oven, they don't taste fresh, they aren't crispy, and they have no flavor 4. The breadsticks were overcooked, no garlic, no seasoning, just hard sticks of plain bread with a tiny cup of marinara sauce To sum it all up, the staff/owner are very strange, and the food is overcooked, reheated, hard, and everything but fresh read more

Wow. I was hoping for a good pizza but, got better. It is xmas eve and I was on the road for work and staying in a Lathrop hotel. looked around online and didn't want fast food. Ordered a medium pizza,pepperoni,fresh garlic & extra cheese. Crust well above average, sauce not to sweet or to acidic and not to much! Pepperoni slightly crisp with lots of flavor. Mike makes a mean pizza pie, whether it's a sausage and cheese, regular pepperoni, chicken, kabob, etc the food has always been good and I've been met with friendly service each time. It's been many years since we've been here and this food is still great. With so many options we landed on the chicken piccata pizza and substituted onions for sausage. The crust was perfect. Crisp & tender. More than enough cheese to satisfy and the garlic white sauce was very flavorful. Plenty of toppings and their sausage pieces are were way bigger than most pizza places use. The shop was steady but not slammed and we got our order in under 15 minutes. Sadly due to covid we sat at an outside table because pizza is not the best road food. We will be back soon. Milan's is a nice place to order to-go from. The food is great. But I tried dining in for the first time with my family last week, and it went pretty bad. First, the man who took my order had a huge attitude when I was gently trying to tell him what I wanted. I thought I was being clear, but he kept getting confused. I'm pretty sure it's because English was not his first language. So, I kindly apologized for confusing him. But he still kept up the attitude, and even tossed the crumpled receipt in my direction on the table. I took my receipt and sat down to wait for my food. They said 20 minutes, which is no problem. But soon, 45 minutes go by and the staff all start fighting in the kitchen. Shouting at each other, pointing fingers, and I saw one man even leave the restaurant to cool off. It was pretty rough. Finally, we get the food. It was a little bit burned, but I didn't really mind it. It was still mostly very yummy. When I asked if we could get a water pitcher (as many restaurants provide for dine-in customers), the same man from before rudely said to pay a $1.50 for the bottle. I did, and he sarcastically asked if I wanted my receipt for something that cost $1.50. I told him no and he went back to arguing with his co-workers. Overall, the food was good and even the rest of the staff was pleasant. It seems that it was just this ONE man who was causing trouble for everyone that night. I am always kind to restaurant staff, and I rarely have problems. But this man was very rude and condescending and really ruined the vibe of my family's dinner. So I'm going with a three star. I think they definitely need to work on the dine-in experience. read more

My go to pizza spot for the family. They're polite, especially to my daughter who loves their cheese pizza. Usually, we go for the cheese, hawaiian and combo. Milan's also offers other food items on their menu that I might try one day. So far, excellent! Great job. read more

Beware of this unprofessional and unethical establishment. Placed a DoorDash order for almost $60. The dasher called and told me the store owner is not completing the order. I contacted DoorDash, they confirmed they spoke to the store and another dasher was assigned. The food was being prepared, after 20 mins the second dasher calls me say the store is not completing the order because there prices have changed. Why did you accept the order in the first place. It's between you and DoorDash to hash out your info for accuracy. BAD customer experience, here you are trying to help a local restaurant in these hard times with your hard earned money. And they have no regard for their paying customers. This place is never getting my business again. 6/17/20 Update- this scumbag business owner had the audacity to charge my card after not completing my order. First off let me start by saying how friendly and accommodating this establishment was. My son had a soccer tournament in Lathrop and by the time we got done most places were closing soon or were already closed. They weee sweeping and cleaning for the night. We asked if we could still order and instead of a scowl and a yes, we got a yes with smiles. I got the Philly sandwich, my wife and daughter got kabobs, and my son got a calzone. While we waited for the food to be prepared, we crossed the parking lot and grabbed a bottle of Zin to sip on while we ate. All food was prepared with care, and big enough that all four of us could of filled up on 2 of the four items. If we are ever back this way I would definitely come back!!!!! read more

Happen to find this place while passing through. We stopped at Starbucks and this pizza place was a few doors down. Did a quick yelp search and saw they had $2 slices of pizza. Pizza is only my favorite food ever and figured for $2 it was worth trying. Walked up and was instantly greeted by the owner, like he was greeting an old friend, or maybe he just had me mixed up with someone else... either way, it was a very warm welcome. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and waited a few short minutes for my pizza. The young man at the counter made some small talk while we waited. Got my pizza and left. Got to the car and holy moly! That little $2 slice was gigantic, or at least much larger than I expected and it was perfect! There was an excellent amount of cheese and toppings and the flavor was great! I asked for a calzone or a refund and instead I got told to fold the pizza like a calzone because "its the same thing just take it". In our group, there was a chicken and rice bowl, slice of cheese, slice of olives and mushrooms, (very large slices), 2 Greek salads, and a beef gyro. The pizza was "thin sliced and the crust was crisp, it was delicious!" The chicken and rice bowl "was amazing " asked for the veggies on the side and the request was happily done. A green sauce was given to the picky eater of the rice bowl, and he really liked the sauce. Almost ate all of the sauce with his meal. I had the gyro and side Greek salad. The salad was full of veggies and a generous helping of feta on the salad. The gyro was delicious. Generous amount of sauce. The beef was very well seasoned. The other Greek salad that was ordered could have easily fed 3 people. The owner is the one that took our orders and brought us our food. He is very friendly and kind. We really enjoyed our dining and will definitely come back here if we come through this way! read more

When my son asked what Yelp rating I was going to give Milan's, I told him it was a tough call. I mean, how do I give a rating to a pizza place based on eating something not pizza related. A Gyro sandwich in this case. Well, shortly after making that statement to my kid, the manager Daniel handed me a pizza box. Inside of the box, Daniel made two slices of garlic chicken pizza for me to try. I didn't ask for it nor did I ever make mention that I wanted to try the pizza. It was a pure and good gesture from Daniel's heart. Later and after getting home, I tried the pizza Daniel had given me. It wasn't the best I've eaten but, It was far from the worst. And the Gyro I had eaten at Milan's early wasn't the best. But in their defense, who go's to a pizza joint and orders a Gyro then, expects it to be better than any other eaten in the past? Overall, my first experience at Milan's was a decent one. The staff from the time we walked in the door was attentive and helpful. And even though the food wasn't the best, I'd return just to have a coke so I could experience their excellent customer service again. To my man Daniel. Your doing a great job running the place. The only recommendation I would make is, take some time to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant, specifically the restroom. No one likes a dirty John that's out of paper towels and TP. Compared to all the other pizza places in this town, they are the best (My boys love this place, so we're regulars). If you appreciate pizza for its dough, Milan's is worth the try because they actually make it and it's got flavor; it's not your generic pizza chain dough. If I had to give this place 0 stars I would!!! I called in for a pepperoni/ pineapple and once I arrived to pick up my pizza they automatically started speaking Spanish to me assuming I didn't speak English (not in a good way) As soon as I asked for my order they wanted to give me a pepperoni/ sausage pizza knowing damn well that's not what I called in. The older gentleman was forcing me to take that pizza that I clearly did not order , I kept telling him what I ordered and he did not care. He didn't bother to make me what I ordered and kept telling me I was was wrong that I did order a pepperoni/ sausage. If you're a woman don't come in here alone they won't treat you very nice and if you're Hispanic they will assume you don't speak English. This place was one of my favorite pizza places in Lathrop until they brought me a pizza with a baked on fly. They need to do more quality control there because my wife took a bite out of the slice with fly on it and she was centimeters away from eating it. I am beyond livid. read more
