Great pizza options. Relaxing atmosphere. No rush to leave!! Still waiting for check, now we might get desert...

If THIS is how they serve glasses of wine, I'm ALL for it!

Yes it's a chain, but the thing is, least you know what you're getting. And to be honest, I've never gotten anything that was short of totally delish. I absolutely love how thin the base is on the pizza, and the quality of the ingredients put on top. I had a goats cheese and onion marmalade one the other day and it was seriously tasty. I find the staff always pleasant, fun and good humoured (love a bit of friendly banter rather than stiff or hurried service). Each time I've been to either the IFSC or the Grand Canal Dock Milanos, I've had the same positive experience with the waiters and maitre'ds. Also a note on the wine. If you ask for a large glass, it comes in a mini jug that you can pore yourself. (It did cost nearly a tenner which I realised afterwards but was kinda worth it for the fun factor!) The only things I would knock a star for is; - The price. I had a pizza and wine the other day with a friend (we each had a large glass - see above!) and a pizza each, and the total with tip came to just under 60 euro. That massively hurt my wallet, i'm not gonna lie! - The atmosphere - it is just a little bit vast, and, well, chain-like? It's a little like sitting in a giant Italian cafeteria, although maybe that's the look they're after.

It's handy, especially if you're looking for somewhere family-friendly and that can easily accommodate a group around this area. That being said, it can get quite noisy with kids being kids and groups being groups. The food is quite consistent and it's nice to find some vegetarian options - I actually find the Superfood Salad ok, not the tastiest salad ever, but at least the option is there and the ingredients are good. The menus also have the calories explicitly stated for each dish, which is good if you're feeling conscious about your visit there. If you like your pizza hot and spicy, this is one of the things they do better, so go for it. As a "last resource" place to eat it's quite alright, and you'll be able to have a nice meal with a glass of wine without too much hassle. It's not super cheap, but I can't say it feels like a rip-off either, it's just I can think of better ways to spend money on a nicer meal and on a nicer environment. Top marks for the staff at this Milano though, they really are amicable and even funny :)

God I hate chain restaurants! I really do, but Milano always keeps me coming back with delicious thin base pizza and vouchers I receive through their mass email mail outs. They practically always have an offer running so make sure to check the "offers" tab on their website before placing an order and show your waiter. Delicious pizza and a familiar easy setting with no surprises.

I came here with a group of friends for lunch on an early Saturday was happy to find that they had a few items other than pizza on the menu as I don't eat cheese. My expectations in terms of authenticity are generally lower for chains but the food wasn't bad. Three of my friends ordered pizza and garlic bread, I got the superfood salad with added salmon and my other friend got a Caesar. We are all happy with our meals in general, the portions were big, the quality was good and the service was quick. However for the added salmon, they hardly gave any at all really. The restaurant itself had a lovely bright atmosphere and because of the large glass windows, the sun shone in beautifully. The view outside was also great, and the interior was crisp and clean. The reason for me only giving it 3 stars is no. 1 the price: It's not the cheapest but not to expensive, but as there was 7 of us, we had to pay a hefty service charge of 16 euro extra. Also, the number of cheese free dishes is very limited to just salad and some appetisers really. Overall, not bad for a chain.

Just stopped by about 45 minutes before closing - a take away order which doesn't seem that hard considering we aren't dining in... Ordered a margarita pizza and cheesy dough balls No cheese in balls that we paid for - The pizza was clearly not margarita at all.... Burnt pizza-as you can see in the photo... Hate giving 1 star but come on people...pizza is an art and giving out pizzas that look like they have been in the 10th level of hell is not cool!!!!! We charge on here in Dublin to find a pizza worthy of our American taste buds....

My friend and I went here after a performance. The staff were a pleasure to be served by. The names on the menu were very much Italian after all its an Italian chain. heheeh. I first started off with a dish with tomatoes in a circular shape with Pesto on it and a Buffalo or Bula in Italian Cheese. Oh it was heaven. Then it was time for the main course. This by far was delicious especially the Garlic Bread. I was offered this with a Al Forne. Again I can't quite recall the names of the dishes. Then afterwards, for dessert I had a Tiramasu and a scrumtpious Super Fruit Green Tea. Awww it was heaven.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. As we stroll home with the hound, Bianconis catches my eye, a place I have passed hundreds of times but never tried, now felt opportune. Clearly it would be a case of 'no dogs allowed', but we were keen to try the place. So, I do what any responsible pet owner would do, tie the dog to the tow bar of a passing car and let him get a bit of exercise as we dine. I loved it, really; the staff, the décor, the food, the wine, the ice cream counter, the shop....all of it. It is completely unpretentious, comfortable in its own skin, brilliant. I had lasagne, wifey had carbonara, we shared chips (because we are Irish) and a glass of wine each. 45 euro all in, which wasn't bad. The lasagne was served with a garlic bread I haven't tasted in years, made on olive oil, fresh garlic and home made bread baked in a pizza oven; something i remember fondly from my own time in the restaurant trade. We weren't there for long but long enough to know we'll be back As we leave a car passes with a dog tied to the tow bar, it's not ours but close enough, so I unhook him and we wander on. At some point I'm sure we will swap it out for the right pet, it's a good system and means they get lots of fresh air. Just as we are getting acquainted with the new canine a familiar silhouette is cast on the wall, I look around and there stands Bjorn, my fictional Scandinavian companion who pops up from time to time. "1,000 reviews Q, that's a lot for a short man, you must be exhausted" I agree but point out that I have let neither lack of quality nor accuracy stand in my way, "quantity all the way Bjorn!" He nods sagely, looks as though he is about to say something insightful, thinks better of it and invites me to take a seat. "Isn't that your dog?" he asks as a Ford GT passes trailed by a panting pooch "No", I reply, "mine can't run that fast". We sit back, Bjorn and I, watching the fastest dachshund ever recorded go over the bridge and into the sunset. Granted, seating is a little on the tight side if you have more than 4 to your group, but it was just me and my husband. One review said the place was not inexpensive, but I disagree if you order an entree vs. a starter OR eat at a restaurant in The Temple Bar area. I had the Napoli pizza for 15.50 and my hubby the Ravioli Toscanini for 19.50. We both enjoyed our selections very much. All the staff was very friendly and we did not have to wait long for our order to come to our table. I liked it so much that I will suggest going back there tomorrow night for dinner with our group of 4. Be aware the location we were at closes at 9:00 pm.

It's actually the Liffey Street branch that I ate at but couldnt find it on here :-)…read more I popped into on a Sunday afternoon just for a casual bite to eat. It's interior is pretty small but cosy and welcoming with shelves of wine and some typical Italian produce. The menu was slightly limiting regarding starters, as in I couldn't spot them. There was meat and cheese boards, then salads and pizzas but not smaller starters or bruschetta or anything. So we opted to share a pizza and share a cheese board - I am ALL about the cheese! We went for a veggie pizza with roasted peppers and mushroom. Being absolutely obsessed with pizza I had high hopes but it was just ok... too thick for my liking and a but sloppy on top. The cheese board was served with some warm bread and dips and was fab, really couldn't complain about it. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Wine was good also, 3 options of red and 3 of white priced at approx 7.50. I did spot after ordering on a board that they offered bruschetta ... it just didn't appear on the menu for whatever reason! All in all, a nice enough spot if you are on that side of the bridge, maybe for a glass of wine and some cheese but not somewhere I would rush back to in a hurry for a full meal.
