    The most delicious pizza EVER!!
    Marian L.

What an amazing Italian experience! Just a short walk off the exceptionally busy Grafton Street, tucked away down a quiet lane it seemed as if it's one of Dublins hidden gems and we were in for a treat! We were greeted at the door by a lovely real Italian hostess who immediately made us feel like we were dining in Italy! What made him even more great was that he had spent a lot of time in Italy doing Wine tasting classes which of course to our delight meant we would be guaranteed a quality bottle of white wine with our meal. And we did! For my meal I decided to skip starters and get straight in to the main course. With so many dishes and specials (the specials are showcased on a table in the middle of the restaurant which I thought was a very old traditional touch and it's nice to have an idea what the specials look like) to choose from I was thorn between pizza and pasta but settled on the Stop pizza, my sister had ordered the Tagliatelle Salmone. The pizza had a thin base with I love and the sauce was just perfecto! The pizza and wine were both on point and we were delighted with our choice of the many Italian restaurants available in Dublin. Highly recommend this restaurant, it has a real Italian feel to it with a friendly, cozy and personable service and of course great food! I'll definitely be back!!

If you want to experience the true flavour and texture of an Italian pizza, this is the place. My favourite is the Napoletana, dough cooked thin with a hint of crispiness and a base topping of oregano scented tomato paste and mozarella and then the real deal, capers and anchovies. Not to everyone's taste, I'll admit but when I get it, I ask for extra garlic and chilli and it sings, sweeter than Andrea Bocelli.

    Ugh. Can we say disgusting??

So. This was a weird experience. My husband wanted pizza. No problem. Was slightly difficult on a Sunday night but we managed it. Place was cute. Pizza was thin and delicious. But everything was completely wrecked by the flies or gnats hanging around. Seriously. Only reason I made it through this dinner is because I am a former Marine and nothing much phases us. But how disgusting. Seriously. Clean your tables. How do you showcase your product when it is clear that cleanliness is not a priority in your restaurant?? Ugh.

I really enjoyed the meal (it was undercooked in some areas) but still had great flavor.

I had gotten the Ravioli and it was very good. Would definitely recommend. Everyone else I was with enjoyed their meals as well. My ravioli was a little undercooked but nonetheless a great dish. However, the service wasn't the best. Our waitress had us wait about 15 minutes before even speaking with us. And during that time didn't come to our table except for the paycheck and tip. Overall: The Ravioli was about a three. Service: The service was about a two.

I would highly suggest Their pizzas and espresso and of corse their choclate cake( death by chocalatee). One thing that i did not like is that the place is abit small and its not that comfortable to move. But why not trying you may like the place, its more of the old restaurants in Milano. To me i would go again and again for their pizzas but not on a busy day.

Canned minestrone, good crust, but a poor example of a margherita pizza. BIG downside was downer atmosphere created by staff and owner.

Pizza stop is my favourite pizzeria in Dublin...Lots of airline crews go here, though and it can get a little loud.

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

After finishing the starter, it took a bit too long for the main dish to come out. Once it did come out, we were kind of full from the first dish. The wife for the Zucchini Primvera. The pasta seemed liked it could have been cooked a bit more. It probably needed another minute or so before it was Al Dente. Overall, the food was good and I would come back for sure.

Why I'll go back: wide variety of sauces lets you satisfy any craving…read moreYou HAVE to order: the arancini (how's that for a curveball) Tony's Tip: Given the generous portion size and wide variety of sauces, if you can do a group of 4-6 you'll be able to sample a lot more of the menu. Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
