Was craving pizza & saw good reviews about PI. Got their classic Margherita & honestly wasn't impressed. The flavor was lacking even after crushed chili peppers, but the crust itself was good. They have dips for the pizza which would have added more flavor but I feel like a good pizza shouldn't need dips. Casual ambiance and great customer service overall! We asked around for the best pizza in Dublin and this was consistently mentioned - 100% understand why. The pizza making here and presentation is art. This restaurant doesn't try to appease the masses with dozens of options, but sticks to what it's good at. No appetizers are offered. The most standard pizza was a margarita and the rest were fun, uniquer options. The crust and bread is amazing and fluffy yet sturdy. The buffalo mozzarella... so gooey. I had prosciutto and arugula to top mine off and it was actually perfect. I wanted to finish the entire pizza myself, and I tried, but I couldn't do it sadly. Great restaurant with quick service! We ordered pizza online. The pizza that was delivered is inedible. So soggy, so limp, everything slides right off. The dough is burnt at the edges and almost raw dough from the crust onward. This is the worst pizza we have ever had! How can PI be so highly rated. Is this pizza just an anomaly? Tried to contact PI pizza - but no phone number anywhere on their site. Bad, bad, bad. I come from the states and you know I'm a die hard thin crust New York pizza style kind of girl. Many people recommended PI so of course being the foodie I am I had to go check it out. I will say this, it's not NYC style but it's still the best in Dublin. The crust is soft and fluffy and the toppings are superb. My favorite was their award winning one Nduja. Too much hype, too little delivery. Hard to get a table, even with open tables they claim an hour plus wait. When we came back the next day (due to the stellar reviews) we were confronted with a pizza that was approx 40% crust (they are trying to get you to buy dipping sauces for 1.50 each). The portion with the cheese and sauce was good but so drippy it had to be scrapped off the plate back on to the slice. I appreciate the char on a brick fired pizza but the outer edge had a definitely burned flavor. There is a better pizza place just a few blocks toward the river. read more

Normally it's don't believe the hype, but this place lives up to it. I have two tiny negatives, first is to address the queue situation, yes there is often a queue, no you cannot book. Plan ahead, go a bit early, you might be lucky with a table or simply put your name down and go for a pre-dinner drink, and you get a text when ready. Second, half the pizzas on the menu being "biancas" is a bit odd. But the pizzas, oh the pizzas are so damn good. Try get a table where you can see the kitchen, it's great! Pizza almost always tastes great, that's why you can have pizzas that cost €5 that taste amazing and pizzas that cost €15 that taste amazing, the key for restaurants in this space is that they have to deliver something to justify the price point. With pizzas between €10-14, this place is comfortably at a mid-range price point and truth be told, at this price point, I expected better. The base was soggy and the pizza had no structure, everything seemed to cave in on itself so eating by hands wasn't an option. The flor di latte mozzarella on the margherita didn't have that bounce and texture that it was supposed to, if anything, it tasted... hard? Not even chewy, but, hard. Overall the ambience is fine and the service was good too. A starter, non alcoholic drink and main would cost you upwards of €20 and I just don't think this presents good value given the alternative options nearby. If I could have given it 3.5 stars I would have, it's not quite a 4 although I will give them another try in case I caught them on an off day. read more

Hands down the best pizza in Dublin. I liked everything about this place. The staff were really friendly and helpful while the interior is also really nice and fresh looking. I really liked how the menu described all the complicated foods such as the nduja!!! I ordered the Salsiccia pizza which was amazing.
