Food is amazing. They don't do pizza anymore but the quality of the Italian menu is really incredible. The staff were also very friendly and attentive which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is perfect for dinner before a show in the bord gais theatre. Highly recommend.

Osteria Lucio was a cute little spot inside of Dublin. I stopped by based on some previous reviews of other Yelpers and was not disappointed. I went on a Sunday evening and ate alone since I was in town for business. I didn't have a reservation but they were able to seat me pretty quickly and get me taken care of. I ordered a nice seafood pasta dish and a glass of whiskey. The pasta was wonderfully tender and fresh. The seafood was cooked perfectly and complimented the dish well. The atmosphere was curious because the restaurant is tucked inside an overpass meaning you can hear the traffic lightly rumble above. It wasn't bothersome at all, but charming, I'm here for it. This is why the interior has the curved ceiling. I'll definitely be coming back on my next trip!

Upscale Italian spot with fresh pasta made daily. Unique flavors and dishes, and a rotating menu. Cozy and romantic place, with kind and accommodating staff. Love the bread, vinegar and oil they give you as well.

Fantastic wine and main meals. The octopus appetizer was fantastic! So lush. The cob salad was nice with fresh, light salad dressing too. The pasta and seafood dish was good too. I lasagna was very good with a good sauce. Pino Gregorio was light and good too.

Went here last night for a girlie chat. I arrived late and the girls had ordered. I had to go up to ask for a menu, then had to go back up to order it as they didn't come near me. 4 people asked us how our food was. Kinda annoying after the first two but no attention to loads was kinda out of sync. Pizza was nice but at 18 quid, it was just too expensive for what it was. A glass of wine at 8€ too was pushing the bank o a Tuesday. They do a 2 course plus coffee for 2 people for 40 which is good.

We ate here a year ago under its former guise "pizza e porchetta". Not allot has changed the menu is similar and the decor the same. What has changed however is the service and the food which have upped their game. The food was a touch above last time. My wild boar pasta was so good and the sauce reduced to a treacle like state. My only complaint it didn't come in a larger vessel to sate my appetite. My starter of poached egg was perfect but was second fiddle to my main. The desert of tiramisu was as light as a cloud and the coffee was excellent. On a final note the wine list is limited but their selections are well priced. Oh and service was faultless from start to finish. I will be back.

Fantastico! This is the restaurant I have been looking for! Hidden under a bridge, this place serves high end Italian, that even my Italian friends were impressed with. The decor is fancy, the service was great and the food was easily 5 stars. They have a thorough cocktail menu and also offer a prix fix option that is like 8 courses. This place needs to be in more lists and deserves some real yelper attention!

Poached salmon with romanesco, orange, pesto and horseradish emulsion

Just wow!!! Ate here just over a year ago when the tunnel restaurant was still pizza e porchetta. Now Ross Lewis from Chapter one is here and I do believe the mark has been raised (albeit from a pretty high threshold to begin with!) The staff are still so nice and friendly. We had a lovely seat that was perfectly situated to feel the vibrations from the trains passing nearby. To the food. I ordered poached salmon for starters followed by the prosciutto and buffalo pizza which I asked to be a white pizza. They had no problem with that order. The salmon is served with romanesco, pesto, horseradish emulsion and orange. It's served cold and all the flavours / textures really complimented each other. The pizza base was perfect. Light and crispy and the toppings were plentiful. The mozzarella was well melted, the prosciutto was delicious as was the Parmesan. The rocket was as peppery as it should be. I tried it with a bit of their chilli oil which had a serious kick. A little slice of pizza heaven!!! For dessert I had the lightest Tiramisu I have ever tried with an Americano. Delicious. Enjoyed it all immensely and will definitely be back again :)

    Chicken with creamy polenta mm!

An Italian in Dublin where meticulous care has been taken into all ingredients served on the plate. Invented at a restaurant table at our one Michelin star restaurant in town, star chefs Ross Lewis (yes Chapter 1) and mr Lucio (Italian chef, Michelin star owner as well) decided to do something tasty and interesting together. Result: Osteria Lucio. Went here fro pre-theatre menu as we were going for a 7:30 ballet (Bord Gais just around the corner). Like most pre-theatre menus, this was also great value for money with 22:50 Euro per person. Our company of three all chose three different courses, starting off with meatballs (delicious), broccoli with goat cheese (presented as if we were at a Michelin restaurant), and bruschetta (large one, filling, nice mozzarella). We shared and were in good mood after starting on our red Italian bottle. For main we had chicken in creamy polenta, fresh pasta with mushroom, and pizza, respectively. Everything was fantastic and it was nice that the pasta came with a large bowl of parmesan, and for the pizza one of the waiters came out with a spicy olive oil to match the dish. For the ambience: It was perfect. Casual, good volume (not too quiet, not too noisy), comfortable lighting. Staff was friendly and laid back - I had about a million questions about the restaurant itself and the menu, and our waitress patiently answered all of them. Next time I come I will try the salmon which was highly recommended by our waitress. Looking forward to it.

    Apiz pizza
    Micah C.

In the never ending search for a tasty Dublin pizza delivery option, we had pizza delivered from here a few weeks ago. Given our level of hunger we went with two pies: the Apiz and Italia. While there were a few good qualities, the overall meal was just okay. The crust was a bit chewy and both pizzas could have used a more flavourful sauce. Our search continues...

For the appetizer we ordered: Calamari in crosta and it was honestly one of the best if not best calamari I've had in a long time. It was light, crispy and not oily. Also loved that sauce they paired with it! For the main meal I ordered: Tagliatelle ai frurti de maré e bisque di gamigri Rossi. It was delicious and my friend ordered Tagliatelle al Ragu di cervo Irlandese and she said it was incredible and savored every bite. We didn't order dessert, but would absolutely pop back over when in town. The price was extremely reasonable as well! Lastly the restrooms were clean!

As we stroll home with the hound, Bianconis catches my eye, a place I have passed hundreds of times but never tried, now felt opportune. Clearly it would be a case of 'no dogs allowed', but we were keen to try the place. So, I do what any responsible pet owner would do, tie the dog to the tow bar of a passing car and let him get a bit of exercise as we dine. I loved it, really; the staff, the décor, the food, the wine, the ice cream counter, the shop....all of it. It is completely unpretentious, comfortable in its own skin, brilliant. I had lasagne, wifey had carbonara, we shared chips (because we are Irish) and a glass of wine each. 45 euro all in, which wasn't bad. The lasagne was served with a garlic bread I haven't tasted in years, made on olive oil, fresh garlic and home made bread baked in a pizza oven; something i remember fondly from my own time in the restaurant trade. We weren't there for long but long enough to know we'll be back As we leave a car passes with a dog tied to the tow bar, it's not ours but close enough, so I unhook him and we wander on. At some point I'm sure we will swap it out for the right pet, it's a good system and means they get lots of fresh air. Just as we are getting acquainted with the new canine a familiar silhouette is cast on the wall, I look around and there stands Bjorn, my fictional Scandinavian companion who pops up from time to time. "1,000 reviews Q, that's a lot for a short man, you must be exhausted" I agree but point out that I have let neither lack of quality nor accuracy stand in my way, "quantity all the way Bjorn!" He nods sagely, looks as though he is about to say something insightful, thinks better of it and invites me to take a seat. "Isn't that your dog?" he asks as a Ford GT passes trailed by a panting pooch "No", I reply, "mine can't run that fast". We sit back, Bjorn and I, watching the fastest dachshund ever recorded go over the bridge and into the sunset. It's interior is pretty small but cosy and welcoming with shelves of wine and some typical Italian produce. The menu was slightly limiting regarding starters, as in I couldn't spot them. There was meat and cheese boards, then salads and pizzas but not smaller starters or bruschetta or anything. So we opted to share a pizza and share a cheese board - I am ALL about the cheese! We went for a veggie pizza with roasted peppers and mushroom. Being absolutely obsessed with pizza I had high hopes but it was just ok... too thick for my liking and a but sloppy on top. The cheese board was served with some warm bread and dips and was fab, really couldn't complain about it. Staff were also very helpful and friendly. Wine was good also, 3 options of red and 3 of white priced at approx 7.50. I did spot after ordering on a board that they offered bruschetta ... it just didn't appear on the menu for whatever reason! All in all, a nice enough spot if you are on that side of the bridge, maybe for a glass of wine and some cheese but not somewhere I would rush back to in a hurry for a full meal.
