An Italian Wine Bar and restaurant located neatly in a stoned alleyway close to Dublin's most frequented shopping sites. Environment: ambient yellow and soft white light, wine shelves all around, wooden chairs and tables, very cozy and modern vibe. Service: friendly. I sat down at 11:50 am and there were only three customers including myself at that time, so service was timely. The place started to become crowded and rather noisy starting at around 12:15-20 when I finished my starter. Starter: smoked salmon, salmon tasted fresh with after taste of briney salt water, went well with the goat cheese. Roasted fennel and raddish tasted refreshing and helped offset the fattiness of salmon. The attached garlic bread was made fresh, hot, and crispy, a decent platform to bite with a piece of salmon, some goat cheese, and veggies. Entree: Linguine ai frutti di mare, assorted seafood pasta. A bit too salty for my taste, it seems somebody put an extra pinch of salt before serving. On the up side, the linguine tasted al dente right on spot, tomato helped offset the salty taste, and all the seafood ingredients tasted very fresh: squids, mussels, even the small prawns tasted bouncy and briney. Overall: solid 4 stars. Had the pasta not been too salty, this would be a solid 4.5-5 star place.

Really pleasantly surprised to get some tasty Italian food adjacent to our hotel. Amazing selection of Italian wines. The risotto and seafood linguine were both delicious. Service was a bit slow. The friendliness buffered the wait. I ordered a plate of Italian olives to bridge the wait. They were so tasty. Our waitress provided them complimentary. Completely unexpected but certainly welcomed. If you're craving Italian in Ireland this is the place to scratch that itch.

Tl;dr: I've had way better pasta for a lot less money. My husband and I decided to drop in on a Thursday night for pasta. We were seated right away. We liked the welcoming atmosphere and quick and attentive service, but the food ranged from just okay to not very good. I wouldn't be so bitter about this had we been at a chain, but when you go to a fairly expensive, well known, family owned restaurant, you tend to be less forgiving and expect more. Especially since it's really easy to make delicious pasta. The best thing we ate was trofie pasta with pancetta, leeks, artichoke, and parmesan. The pasta was perfectly al dente, and the pancetta was crispy in every bite. However, the dish was missing something. A rich, creamy sauce and some Italian seasoning could have helped bring it all together. Instead, the sauce (if you even want to call it a sauce - it may have just been drippings from the ingredients) was very watery. The tagliolini with beef ragu was borderline unenjoyable. I'm sad to say that it was honestly the worst ragu I've ever had. I've never had a ragu so flavorless except from maybe a can or jar. A bolognese sauce is so easy to make well, and there is such little prepping involved. Had it had some garlic and spices, it would have been a lot better. We also split some Campania buffalo mozzarella with peppers and sour dough bread. It was really good, but I can't really give them too much credit for it since all they did was assemble it. I don't think I'd come back or recommend this restaurant.

Such a delicious and enjoyable evening at Dunne and Crescenzi on our first evening in Dublin. I can't say enough about the enjoyable atmosphere, great wine and delicious food. This is the kind of restaurant I wish I could eat in each nice- friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, dark bookshelves lined with wine, great wine, delicious dinners and delectable desserts. We ordered two wonderful red wines, garlic and oil toast, and olives- all good starters. My hubby ordered the pork risotto and I ordered the pesto prawn pasta- both were incredible! We ended the meal with Tiramisu- the best I have ever had.

Cute Italian deli store. Pricey but nice. The restaurant is very nice. The food was good. Ordered pasta & salmon. Definitely on the upscale price. Service was top notch. Lovely place for a pastry & Italian coffee

Pros: Good food Friendly staff Quaint decor Large selection of wine Reasonable prices Cons: Gets very busy Can get noisey A little restaraunt and wine bar side by side located in the middle of Fredrick st. I arrived with my companion during peak hours and without a booking. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They escorted us to the wine bar next door and got us a glass while we waited. They told us an hour but our table was ready in less than half. The service itself was attentive and very friendly. We got the brushetta, lasagna, and fettuccine with Irish beef and wine sauce. Everything was delicious. The portions were big and the flavors reminded me of an authentic Italian experience. Highly recommend, but it's best to book ahead especially during rush hours and in groups.

This place is amazing! From service to the food! This was my second time here and they knocked it out of the park again! They even saw that my 4yr old son was sad and asked him why he was. My son said "I want toast and jam" I told my son they don't have toast and jam because it's not breakfast time. About 20 mins later they served my son toast and jam. And they don't even have jam that I saw. Absolutely amazing service and a very nice and happy staff. My lasagna and my wife's ravioli was phenomenal! Best I have ever eaten! Tiramisu was also great as was the garlic bread! Everything was top notch!

Almost as good as being in Italy - I love this whole chain of restaurants but this one is my favourite. It's so cozy and yet can fit really big groups. The food is fantastic with the most fantastic Italian ingredients. The bruschetta is probably the best I've ever had - the tomatoes are so full of flavour. I also love the meats & cheese that they serve - always top quality. The second thing I love is the staff. They all seem to be Italian and are full of enthusiasm and great sense of humour. It really makes it feel like a little piece of Italy. They do great hampers and all sorts of Italian food and drink that you can bring home The outdoor seating is lovely if only the weather was good and the traffic less busy. It is not too expensive and they do some very good specials The bruschetta is so filling that is would do for lunch even on its own

One of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Dublin. I went first to their sister restaurant in Sandymount with an Italian colleague years back (he swore it was the finest Italian in Ireland) and then have been to this location in town countless times since. Be sure to get the bruschetta or the larger bruschetta extreme...either way you're getting some of the freshest most flavourful tomatoes. I need to figure out where they source their tomatoes as they are simply amazing. Portions are large and reasonably priced for the quality. Although the menu is quite extensive, I always get the same thing...ie I start out with some bruschetta and then go for the steak filet. My dining companions usually opt for the homemade pasta dishes. The environment is very casual...small candlelit tables flanked by bookcases of wine. Despite a few too many tables (it's very crowded), Dunne & Crescenzi is a great place for a meal and by far your best option for Italian in Dublin.

We ordered two glasses of Barbera wine as our cocktail, followed by calamari, pappardelle al funghi and ravioli Asiago. The wine was perfect and complimented our meal. Our server Massimo brought out some bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar to start our meal. The calamari was amongst the best I've ever had, the breading was light and crispy. Both our pasta dishes were divine and authentic. At the end of our meal we had some espresso and were given complementary limoncello shots. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
