Told our salesperson that we were ready to purchase when we came back and got into the full swing of it. Went back to see Jack to run through finances with no issue. He was very informative and helpful guiding us through the process. Vehicle looked almost exactly the same as it did online and drove great. Had been on the lot for about 3 weeks and needed a wash. Dealership was courteous and filled up gas before we drove off with it. About 3 hours from walking in and test driving to leaving with the keys.

My salesman was great--friendly and professional--but everything changed when it was time to finalize the deal. Instead of simply providing the purchase agreement, the finance team pushed me to apply through them, insisting it wouldn't impact my credit. When I declined and stood firm on using my pre-approved financing, they suddenly refused to sell me the car. Apparently, because they couldn't make additional profit from the financing, my business was no longer valuable to them. They basically are not interested in selling you a car if they can't add unnecessary charges and fees--which SUCKS and is horrible customer service. I've heard of dealerships doing this, but experiencing it firsthand was eye-opening. The sales manager's dismissive attitude only made it worse. If you're financing through your own bank or credit union, be prepared for pushback. Also, be wary of their financing tactics--dealerships like this often mark up interest rates beyond what the bank offers to increase their profit. While the staff was pleasant on the surface, their approach to financing was nothing short of predatory. I can't recommend this place to anyone and will make sure others are aware of their practices.

I've been calling asking to speak to a manager to see what could be done (possibly a loaner car) but I always get the manger is not in but they will call you back THEY NEVER DO! The sad part is during this time my husband had to have opened heart surgery and I've had to spend extra money on renting a car or ubering just to be with my husband in the hospital. I called practically begging them to help me and they couldn't even call me back. If you want to buy from a company that is fair, compassionate and cares about the community they serve DO NOT buy here, they can't even keep the promise to call someone back so I wouldn't expect them to keep a promise that they are selling reliable cars.

Before buying, I asked several questions over email about its condition and any possible mechanical issues. I was told, "Zero issues, very nice truck." Unfortunately, that was not true. On the drive home, the exhaust pipe past the muffler fell off. I also discovered problems with the front brakes and alignment. Additionally, the bumper was supposed to be replaced before I picked up the truck on May 31st--but it hadn't been. I was assured it would be delivered to me and installed by a local mechanic arranged through Travers Hughes. It took over a month before the bumper even arrived, with Travers blaming the eBay seller for the delay. When I found a local mechanic who could install it for $125, the bumper showed up without the correct brackets. On July 18th, I emailed Travers about the issue, and he replied that he would "contact them and get the correct parts and send you the $125 no problem." Today is August 21st. I still have not received the correct parts or the $125. My advice: Do not take their word for anything. Do not trust that Travers Hughes will follow through on his promises.

I was looking for a car & seen a good deal obviously found out it was to good to be true when I gave them my information & started to inquire about the car. They had a 2019 Dodge charger R/T with a sales price of $13,000. So when I asked if it was available I received a text message that the price was $18,000. I then called because of the obvious confusion and I also live two hours away from the dealership. I wish I could give you the audio to this call. I asked about the car & the polite girl on the other side of the phone just says yes that's the price. I then told her about the text I got & the fact that I'm driving 2 hours to look at this car so I wanted to double check before I leave. She then says well that's the down payment not the actual price. They informed me that the $13,000 is a down payment and the actual price is around $32,000! It's actually wild to me that these types of dealerships get away with what they do & I'm currently looking into reporting them because I don't care what loophole they're using, simply lying is unacceptable in business!

Here is a youtube video showing…read morehow they scammed us and all the junkyard parts: https://youtu.be/d0AudbB4dtg We pulled into JD 'scrap yard' Byrider and took notice of a nissan murano which 'looked' to be in great shape. We walked in and sat down at about 12:30 or 1pm and i immediately asked for the CARFAX for the murano. I was told to hang on a few while the salesman worked on our credit approval (we were outside at the time). He also said the carfax was clean. Many hours pass and no carfax and by that time i had already forgotten about it due to the mind numbing wait we were forced to endure by the popcorn machine. After several threats by me to get up and leave because of how long they were taking to gain credit approval, they finally approved the loan and i was allowed to check out to car at about DARK thirty. We drove it and all seemed well except that it pulled really hard to the left. They promised to fix it and they did indeed replace the front tires...but it still pulled a little. They replaced the tires after the purchase. At about 8:30-9pm (aprox 8 hour wait) and after our minds were NUMB from all the waiting by the popcorn machine (no lunch or dinner and up past bedtime) and all of the "were almost ready guys, just a few more minutes," ...we made a horrible decision. We signed the paperwork just to be done with it so we could go home and crash. They said they were giving me $1600 for my civic (fair market value of $4k) but only gave me $1300 and slid it passed my face so fast i dinna notice AND took $1k on top of that. They slid the paperwork past us so fast we didnt have time to read anything or comprehend what we were signing or even notice they screwed me on the civic. This is a tactic used to wear down people in order to force them into a mistake. Its a legit form psychological warfare. A predatory practice. The salesman also said we were getting a 5 year 60k bumper to bumper warranty... sadly after we got home we noticed that it was just a 1 year limited warranty. Still, i tried to get them to fix the 4 check engine codes for the EVAP system which turned into arguments and cussing matches. This issue caused the car to run bad and get 15mpg (still not fixed). Also just before this happened i called into JD to get them to replace a missing part of the air cleaner system i noticed after the purchase (was dark when i looked under the hood at the car lot and didnt notice it)....they refused. Fast forward to 1 year ago to today. The high pressure line from the transmission to the cooler burst at the repair joint (more on this in a minute) causing the tranny to run without fluid for a while causing damage. The CVT transmission now has issues over this... The high pressure line was repaired once upon a time and they used zip ties instead of hose clamps which was the cause of the failure. A month later, the starter goes out due to the grounding strap between the starter and solenoid corroded apart. I had to take the drivers side tire off to get to the starter to fix it. It is at this point i saw all the paint marks (salvage yard paint markings) all over replaced parts. Strut, a-arm, axle, tranny, brake caliper ect. If that wasnt bad enough, the motor mount is bent and the frame is a bit tweaked and looks like it was cut and welded back in. Also as i tore down into the engine to get to the starter, i also noticed that parts like the battery tray, frame holding the box, air cleaner ect all had salvage yard paint markings on them. MY CAR WAS OBLITERATED ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AT SOME POINT WHICH WAS HIDDEN FROM ME BY THE SALESMAN AT JD BYRIDER!! I pulled out my paperwork and finally found the carfax hidden between all the power of attorney paperwork. The car WAS in a serious accident and the salsman lied about it all. HE KNEW... i would bet my life on it. So as of today i tried one last time to get them to fix this crap under the lemon law as well as lieing about the carfax. Again, they just got nasty and basically said we got your money and you signed the paperwork.... I still owe 2 more years on this murano that i am paying $22,000, 13k sticker price minus $2300 in trade in and cash. Currently the murano is worth $3800 in fair condition KBB. BTW. The GPS tracking device is under the carpet, drivers side, wired to OBD2 port. Remove it by unplugging it completely and moving the old obd port plug back to its original position with screws. STAY AWAY!! Dont fall into their trap. 1 day late? They repo you.

I went into their location after having been in a serious car accident that resulted in my car being totaled. I had only had my previous vehicle for a few months, and was not looking forward to the experience of buying another new car, however Brandon Lahn, my sales consultant made it an easy experience. From the moment we first met, he NEVER used any high pressure sales tactics. He was understanding of the situation I was in, the need for additional documentation due to my previous vehicle being totaled (insurance forms, getting plates transferred, etc) and worked with me to find an incredible vehicle at a price that was far better than I ever could have dreamed of. Then I was placed with the finance representative Cal, who also was a non high pressure, very straight forward, decent individual. From the start of me deciding on the vehicle I wanted to the time I drove off of the lot in my new car, it took 3 hours 30 minutes. I had an incredible finance rate, an even better vehicle that I had before and felt like I had been treated with respect, decency and like family.
