The ambience was quiet for a Monday night with only one other table being occupied. I ordered unsweet tea and it was served from a bottle over ice. Hmm. I ordered the Pesce Livornese (Flounder) and it was some of the best fish I've ever had! The red sauce was loaded with capers, olives and chunky spices over angel hair. The dish was outstanding as well as the service. I topped the meal with the Limincello cake and an espresso. I highly recommend this true mom and pop gem. read more

Just went there tonight with high hopes from a recommendation from a friend in the industry who said it was the best Italian food ever? The staff was pleasant, the ambiance lacked a lot of what an Italian restaurant normally has. There is only 1 bathroom to accomodate both parties, so there is always a waiting line. There is no liquor or wine license. The place is small but I heard the food is excellent? We waited at least 30 -45 minutes to get served for the main course. The staff apologized for the delay and said the food would be excellent. The food finally came out and the lasagna was like soup. Too much cheese, no meat, no texture. My wife had Shrimp with linguine, no taste, dry, and looked bad from the start. The owners cannot handle a small kitchen and everyone in the restaurant was waiting for a long period of time. Unfortunately, nice staff but cannot handle the flow of traffic and will not be able to stay the course. I wish them luck but this is some of the worst Italian food I have ever had and I have been in Boca Raton for 32 years. read more

You can tell Domenico loves what he does and he puts heart and soul into his dishes, he kept checking on us, delivered some food (he's 1 chef) and even gave us a sample of his lobster ravioli! It's simple, honest, Italian food. Freshly cooked, flavorful, with a small menu, and nothing more. No excessive sauces, no microwaves, no canned stuff, no old meat. Just perfectly cooked Italian food cooked by Italians. I enjoyed the Chicken Piccatta. Sauce is homemade with olive oil and wine, pasta is al dente, the chicken filet was perfect - not too mushy, not overcooked. Sauce sticks to the pasta, so they're cooking the pasta correctly. Simple. Flavorful and fresh without being excessive. The bread is great, too. Great dough, nice texture. Dessert is alright - it's prepackaged Tiramisu but I enjoyed it. (They're not dishonest about the desserts, you can see them in cellophane wrapping in the entrance.) It's probably one of the better Italian restaurants I've been to in America. Service is great too with the owners and staff, and the ambiance is cozy and honest. You're basically eating out of an Italian home kitchen and that's what it is. If I lived in Boca and my Chinese in laws who never had Italian food wanted to try Italian food, I'd bring them here as a safe choice. Too many places ruin Italian cuisine. I'm guessing it wasn't so good because the restaurant is only recently under new management & they are going to get better with experience, & we will give them another chance in the future. we came here because of so many 5 star reviews, but our food didn't match that . our food was overpriced for what we received, gnocchi was good but just a small bowl. my Bronzino was expensive for a tiny portion of bland fish. my grilled eggplant side dish was ice-cold - it came straight out of the refrigerator. only after I complained did the waitress say it was cooked earlier in the day. (or maybe yesterdays leftovers?) this was after the waitress previously said everything was cooked fresh to order. we ended up waiting 45 min for our food. the waitress also apologized for such long wait time because she said they didn't have enough staff. she offered us free wine because they didn't have their liquor license yet. i'm really hoping because they have only been in business for 2 months that their food will improve with more experience . read more

The first time years ago we order the Chicken Piccata and Chicken Marsala, both of them were very fresh and delicious. We have Driven past this place easily 100 times not thinking much about it but it's definitely worth a try. We thoroughly enjoyed it! So yes I did not post this a while back. Today we were thinking abut a great Italian place to eat and my wife said we need to go to GIUSEPPE'S cafe. Oh man let me tell you, what a great idea, we started with the special Burrata and prosciutto bruschetta, it was delicious. We continued with the Chicken Marsala (yummy) and I had the Spaghetti Amatrigiana, this took me back to Italy, fresh delicious ingredients. You need to give this place a try. What a gem! A lovely family owned place. The owners are friendly as could be and clearly proud of their little spot, with pics of their hometown on the wall. There are only five tables so a reservation is a good idea and I've found it hard to make one on a Friday or Saturday night. Everyone enjoyed their meals which were the best Italian we have found in the area, by far. Caesar salad was great, though the dressing comes on the side. Very fresh. The spaghetti with clams was delicious, very clammy and nicely flavored with garlic and herbs and olive oil, the spaghetti perfectly al dente. The pesce (branzino?) fillet with olives in a tomato sauce over linguine was fresh and again nicely cooked. Others at the table enjoyed the pesto tortellini with added chicken, and the chicken Milanese. No alcohol on the premises but you can BYOB with no corkage fee. Parking is around the back though you have to walk around to the front to enter the restaurant. This will be our go to place going forward whenever we are in town! read more

When I was cautioned that the food might take some time since they don't use microwaves, that's the moment I knew this was real-deal-Holyfield. I came for the pasta, ultimately going with the manicotti. A very satisfying dish with loads of Ricotta. As good as that was, nothing could have prepared me for the limoncello cake. I'm not even a cake kind of cake, but this was absolutely delicious! Combining sponge cake and mascarpone is basically like eating a cloud. A sweet, sweet, fluffy, cloud.... So.. we came here on the tremendous hype that was given by the Yelp community. Honestly, it was very good.. but certainly not something I would go out of my way for. The food was very good, but not outstanding in any way. The ambiance was... well... seats in the front of a deli. What I liked was the personal touch of what I can only assume were the owners/cook/server that took specific attention on everything that arrived at the table. The service was excellent. They do not server any alcohol so you can bring your own bottle of wine with no cork fee... which is a cool feature! A very small cafe, maximum capacity about 20. Not much Ambiance but EXCELLENT food. Chef makes all dishes to order. Menu is very limited, offering daily specials. Service is attentive. Entree portions on the smaller side. It was a Nice touch when the chef proudly delivered the entrees to the table himself. Warm bread served, no butter allowed, just oil, but the olive oil is not a high quality so it doesn't provide Italian authenticity. No appetizers so we jumped right into the dinners. All fresh ingredients are used in the entrees. Pasta cooked to perfection. The shrimp postitano special was delicious and served over spaghetti. The seafood fradiablo had the right amount of flavor, just enough spice. Tender large Mussels and a small lobster tail was placed on a bed of spaghetti. Recipes are authentic Italian.
