This is by far the best family owned restaurant I have ever had the pleasure of dining. The food was as authentic Italian with everything made by hand that I'd never had before. Started with Bruschetta which was absolutely fantastic followed by the house specialty, Lasagna. Words will not do justice to the taste explosion that went on in my brain. By nature, I am a very fast eater but I ate very slowly to savor each delicious bite. Our waiter, Nick was more like a friend than a waiter by the time we left. Nick gave us the restaurant's background so we had a color backdrop of what we were experiencing while being attentive to our (he anticipated) needs. The chef does not speak much English, but her food does the talking for her in an eloquent voice. Meeting "Mamma" (the chef) met with warmth and familiarity. When I called to make reservations, I was told we can bring our own wine and no corkage fee. A small storefront family Italian restaurant in downtown Boca Raton. The mother and father work the front and Giuseppe is the son and chef. Kinda a non descript interior. Small menu on the pricey side but very good. They will alter the menu items to taste or make you just about anything Italian. Started with a nice Caesar Salad with Romaine Lettuce ,| Grated Parmigiano Cheese , Croutons, and a Signature Caesar Dressing. My wife tried the Lasagna with a Bolognese Sauce topped with Fresh Parmigiano and Mozzarella Cheese, very good. I opted for the Mixed Seafood Pasta that comes with garlic, oil , clams, mussels , shrimp, and Fresh Fish of the day. I chose all seafood and a Fra Diavolo sauce. I sit here basking in the culinary after-glow of this amazing little mom-and-pop shop Italian cafe and if you are lucky enough to be in the Boca Raton area; take yourself here and find a little bit of heaven in the way of perfectly prepared pasta! At first glance this little restaurant may just seem like a small coffee shop from the front doors, but all the magic definitely happens in the back and explodes to your taste buds. The staff is absolutely AMAZING here from the moment we walked into the door, seating us at a quiet table in the perfectly lit ambiance. This location allows you to "bring your own wine" so if you have a preferred red to accompany your pasta, BY ALL MEANS bring it with you!! First you start off with bread service which was never ending, so load your plate with oil and vinegar but DONT OVERSTUFF, because the entrees will rock your socks. We got the Gnocchi Sorrentino and the Penne Vodka. Both were absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD. The penne vodka was so creamy and rich, and the gnocchi so bright and perfectly cooked not to mention both portions were great. I made reservations for my husband's bday. They're good about accommodating allergies. The decor doesn't match the amazing food. Had gnocchi, no cheese, red sauce with fresh basil. Super good! Husband had lasagna. We're not alcohol drinkers, but they ask you to bring a bottle of wine, no corking fee. Fellow sitting next to us eats there several times a week & loves it. Ambiance needs work. Parking is difficult here. Parked in back, no signage on the back side to know if you're in the right place. I suspect all the locals bike are walk, which makes good sense for the island. read more

I travel for work and am in constant search for unique and exceptional dining experiences. Giuseppe's is one of those places. The ambience was quiet for a Monday night with only one other table being occupied. I ordered unsweet tea and it was served from a bottle over ice. Hmm. I ordered the Pesce Livornese (Flounder) and it was some of the best fish I've ever had! The red sauce was loaded with capers, olives and chunky spices over angel hair. Such a unique experience. The food was absolutely outstanding. Simple, flavorful and just right. The ricotta cheesecake I would eat every birthday for the rest of my life. You can tell Domenico loves what he does and he puts heart and soul into his dishes, he kept checking on us, delivered some food (he's 1 chef) and even gave us a sample of his lobster ravioli! Keep in mind everything is made to order, quality takes time. Victoria, his wife is such a sweetheart and lovely to talk to. We cannot wait to go back to this homey spot. It's simple, honest, Italian food. Freshly cooked, flavorful, with a small menu, and nothing more. No excessive sauces, no microwaves, no canned stuff, no old meat. Just perfectly cooked Italian food cooked by Italians. I enjoyed the Chicken Piccatta. Sauce is homemade with olive oil and wine, pasta is al dente, the chicken filet was perfect - not too mushy, not overcooked. Sauce sticks to the pasta, so they're cooking the pasta correctly. Simple. Flavorful and fresh without being excessive. The bread is great, too. Great dough, nice texture. Dessert is alright - it's prepackaged Tiramisu but I enjoyed it. (They're not dishonest about the desserts, you can see them in cellophane wrapping in the entrance.) It's probably one of the better Italian restaurants I've been to in America. Service is great too with the owners and staff, and the ambiance is cozy and honest. You're basically eating out of an Italian home kitchen and that's what it is. If I lived in Boca and my Chinese in laws who never had Italian food wanted to try Italian food, I'd bring them here as a safe choice. Too many places ruin Italian cuisine. Lite, fluffy, very tasty home made RICOTTA Gnocchi. The homemade red sauce was just as good, if not better, than Grandma's sauce. We started with a cold antipasto for 1, not 2 people....well it was enough to feed possibly 4 people. This dish's presentation made you want to eat it all. Very nicely done. By the way, the portions of each dish was definitely better than average. You got a real good bang for the buck, in quality, in presentation, in service and in price. I had a lasagna that I hardly order out. The portion was huge. Taste, unbelievable. Absolutely filling with enough of a leftover for the next day's lunch or dinner. Lastly, our service was excellent, with the waitress stopping by the table a number of times checking to see how things were going. The highlight of the evening was definitely the food, but also the Executive Chef and owner, Chef Ines Milane. This Chef really brought back memories of my Nonna. Just went there tonight with high hopes from a recommendation from a friend in the industry who said it was the best Italian food ever? The staff was pleasant, the ambiance lacked a lot of what an Italian restaurant normally has. There is only 1 bathroom to accomodate both parties, so there is always a waiting line. There is no liquor or wine license. The place is small but I heard the food is excellent? We waited at least 30 -45 minutes to get served for the main course. The staff apologized for the delay and said the food would be excellent. The food finally came out and the lasagna was like soup. Too much cheese, no meat, no texture. My wife had Shrimp with linguine, no taste, dry, and looked bad from the start. The owners cannot handle a small kitchen and everyone in the restaurant was waiting for a long period of time. Unfortunately, nice staff but cannot handle the flow of traffic and will not be able to stay the course. I wish them luck but this is some of the worst Italian food I have ever had and I have been in Boca Raton for 32 years. read more

The restaurant was small, with only 6 or so tables, which lends to a personal/ friendly ambiance. The chef - is Mama Inez and is 100% Italian in the fullest sense. Today we were thinking abut a great Italian place to eat and my wife said we need to go to GIUSEPPE'S cafe. Oh man let me tell you, what a great idea, we started with the special Burrata and prosciutto bruschetta, it was delicious. We continued with the Chicken Marsala (yummy) and I had the Spaghetti Amatrigiana, this took me back to Italy, fresh delicious ingredients. You need to give this place a try. the waitress was so nice, I really wanted to like the food . I'm guessing it wasn't so good because the restaurant is only recently under new management & they are going to get better with experience, & we will give them another chance in the future. we came here because of so many 5 star reviews, but our food didn't match that . our food was overpriced for what we received, gnocchi was good but just a small bowl. my Bronzino was expensive for a tiny portion of bland fish. my grilled eggplant side dish was ice-cold - it came straight out of the refrigerator. only after I complained did the waitress say it was cooked earlier in the day. (or maybe yesterdays leftovers?) this was after the waitress previously said everything was cooked fresh to order. we ended up waiting 45 min for our food. the waitress also apologized for such long wait time because she said they didn't have enough staff. she offered us free wine because they didn't have their liquor license yet. i'm really hoping because they have only been in business for 2 months that their food will improve with more experience . read more

What a "Gem" of a restaurant! Authentic Italian cuisine made fresh, in a delightful small cafe setting and with a welcoming chef and hostess (who are the owners). Limited menu which changes periodically--we had: Appetizers...the anti-pasta and tomato slices with mozzarella, Main courses...shrimp scampi, penne pasta, pasta pizzeria (sp), and chicken piccata, Dessert...lemoncello cake. Staying at the Boca Rotan and decided to get off resort. Giuseppe's was amazing. Don't forget to bring you own wine though. We had the bruschetta which was 3 kinds of different apps. So fresh. Then entrees included seafood mix which was loaded, the gnocchi which was huge and the spaghetti with a yummy name (pecorino and pancetta I think). I had it spicy and it was perfect.
