Shrimp only platter
Jenny T.

This is my first time trying food from a food truck and I wasn't disappointed! I came here after work with my coworkers after seeing the food truck parked by Target. I'm glad they were parked by Target because I feel safer stopping at this area versus the gas station area I would usually see them at. We each got a plate and I had got the shrimp only platter because I'm not usually a big fan of fish. For the shrimp only plate it came with 10 fried shrimps, the seasoned crinkle cut fries, house made sauce, and a lemon for $23. Wow the batter and seasoning on the fried shrimp was delicious! I could taste Cajun seasoning in it. It had the right amount of spice and they were crispy. The shrimp is a pretty good size as well! I also enjoyed the house made sauce they have. The sauce had a nice tart and creaminess to it that made it compliment the shrimp and fries so much. The fries had some seasoning on them and were a thick crinkle cut. They were crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Even though I don't like fish, seeing the way my coworkers were enjoying their fried fish made me want some, so I may try it the next time I see the food truck!

Tilapia and Shrimp plate

Fast service, super friendly. This is my second time coming. The first time I ate it so fast couldn't take a picture. I ordered tilapia and shrimp. Super flaky, seasoned well. The fries were like any regular fries. He has a special sauce that is kind of spicy but taste good. My friend ordered catfish (not pictured) she initially did not like the way the food looked thinking her fish was beer battered and soggy. But nope, she loved it and not was it soggy. I will be back. Thank you

Sancho told me about this fish spot. So drove out to Riverside for the day. I'm very picky eater and especially about my fry'd fish, This place is so good it's cooked to order I had the cod fish and shrimp dish little heat but the batter is crunch, flavorful, fish was tender moist and let's say I ate everything so fast that I forgot to take some pics of my plate. Who would of thought that this little trailer could prepare and cook like a brick and mortar place.. We will definitely be back to try another dish.

Sole, shrimp, fries. Mikey's sauce on the side.

Mikey knows his fish. Lots of choices of wild fish. He urged the sole and I know to go with the chef's suggestion. I was a bit worried because it's pretty easy to overwhelm sole with batter. Nope! Perfect, thin, crispy, lightly seasoned batter. I had it with the shrimp, which also were perfect. My husband had the catch of the day, striped bass, also excellent. The fries have a light dusting of seasoning. I had Mikey's sauce and my husband had the tartar sauce, both excellent. It's a food truck so the best thing about the ambience is that it was a one minute drive home so I could eat it while perfectly crispy.

Thick crust. Bland, under salted fish. Overcooked. Spicy house sauce is not anything I would want again. I was so disappointed.

Iv been following Mike's fry house on ig forever, finally got the opportunity to try them out on my way home from big bear (I arrived beyond hungry). Once I got to the order window I did not know what to order, everything on the menu sounded amazing. I was recommended the swai and shrimp and it was delicious. Fresh, flaky and crunchy the best combination. I recommend ordering an extra of their special sauce! My order did take 20 mins so be prepared to wait and they do give you a call/text when your order is ready. Plenty of time to walk around target or order food at another truck.

Cod, shrimp and fries

They ran out of sole so we got the cod and it delicious!!! The batter was crunchy, light and seasoned well! I would definitely visit them again! I really enjoyed this fish especially because the batter was not thick! Sometimes the batter is so thick and you bite into the fish and get a glob or gooey not throughly cooked batter....YUCK!!!! I suggest arriving as early as possible to prevent them selling out! Service was great, they take Apple Pay. Ambiance...well it's outdoors so it was cold outside so we ordered and waited in the car but this row of food trucks is quite popular! There were quite a few folks browsing the row of different trucks!

This was the Swai(2) shrimp(4) fries plate!

The flavor is amazing but the presentation was poor. Maybe it was a busy night but I feel like the fries portion was so poor. No dipping sauces were included. Not giving up on you guys! Will try again and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Great ambiance...

I am glad that there there is an option for boiled seafood in the area!…read more I purchased a pound of peeled shrimp, with 1 order of corn + 1 order of potatoes (3x), and an extra side of garlic bread at the end. I was extremely full at the end of the meal! I ordered mild seasoning, but I might ask for *no* seasoning next time. To be fair, this might be common for this style of cooking. Nevertheless, it might be nice to try the lemon pepper and garlic butter on their own. At first, I was apprehensive about eating the potatoes without utensils. However, I think they work well for dipping, and they are a better option than the garlic bread if you have something spicy (or mild). Either way, the corn paired nicely with the seafood. So, I may order an extra half a corn and/or consider ordering 1/2 pound of seafood next time (maybe without the potatoes). I also tried two of the flavored teas (passionfruit and peach), which were both excellent! Finally, I did not try them for this visit. However, if you are going with a group of friends, then there are also economical fried seafood options that I think looked like a good deal.

The plump shrimp was very tasty, and the soup a superior rendition of Manhattan Clam Chowder. Complimentary fresh-baked Sourdough Bread and butter were slow to arrive at our table, but when they did, the bread was excellent and addictive as usual. My brother polished off the majority of the Coconut Shrimp, and Diane liked her Yaki Butterfish, which was a form of Black Cod anointed with Teriyaki Sauce. I decided to splurge on Alaskan King Crab Legs, which are sold here at Market Price. It was $125 for 1 pound on the day I visited. This is still a good price compared with the Las Vegas prices I am used to. Two tools were provided to disassemble the crab legs, but they were enough to get the job done. Served with Drawn Butter, the King Crab Legs were sweet and divine, with a medley of garden vegetables and Cheese Potatoes as suitable accompaniments. And the portion of crustacean I received appeared to be bigger than 1 pound. I happily gave away some big morsels of crab legs to my brother and Diane (making them happy as well), and still had plenty of crab left for me. Service by Nicole O was commendable, and table seating comfortable in the large dining room. I expect to return soon, and add a dinner salad to whatever entree of several fine ones offered here that I choose.

However, I was able to finish an errand earlier and called to push up my order by 2 hours. The ladies working were super nice and accommodating, and got my order ready to go ASAP. I put the cookies in the microwave for ~15 seconds, and they were soooo good. The firecraker shrimp itself was good. The coating/sause was just a bit too oily/buttery for me...which I noticed in the brussels sprouts and other starters as well (which those who like that type of flavor would really enjoy I think). Just the oil/butter throws me off, otherwise great!

Here's my honest review! We got to Lazy Dog in Corona around 9:45 pm where the greeter met us right away and took us to a booth located in the bar area. I am a bit weary of booths, and also weary of high top tables because I'm pregnant and have difficulty climbing/stretching just to sit in high top tables and weary of how tight booths can be in certain restaurants. The booth here at Lazy Dog was perfect! We got our menus and began looking until our server approached us. He introduced himself, his name was Javier, and asked us if this was our first time, to which he replied that yes it was. He explained the menus we were given and took our drink order while we reviewed the menus. Since it was happy hour, we tried their buffalo wings and Tangy BBQ Chips to start. I did not take pictures of those items and wish I had. The happy hour items we ordered were delivered by the Manager, who was very nice and chatted with us briefly. She welcomed us as first timers and that usually sets the stage for us when the manager interacts with the customers. The wings had a nice flavor and the chips were definitely addicting. My husband asked for a dipping cup of the high altitude sauce (Javier said it was their hottest) and that was a pretty good sauce with good flavor. To drink I had a Strawberry Citrus refresher, and it was actually really good. Husband had a regular Michelob Ultra, and had no complaints. We both chose food items from the menu, under the $15 Fireside Favorites. You get a choice of an entree and desert. Husband chose the fried chicken dinner with an extra piece of fried chicken and I chose the fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp. The food was good, I enjoyed my fettuccini Alfredo which I'm usually picky about. The husband was a little thrown off as he thought the chicken was going to be like bone in fried chicken, and in the end he said it was good regardless. For desert, he got the S'more Brownie Sundae and I got the Banana Pudding. I was sold on the banana pudding, as was my husband. We ended up finishing my desert and took his brownie home (which got eaten later during our movie at home). I have to say, I'd definitely come back. There was so much on the menu that I would like to try.
