Lunch on Sunday. Parking: plenty…read more Service: quick. Had our Dos XX lager and amber beers immediately along with the chips and salsa. The chips were crisp, not too much salt. The salsa was just right, favorable. The waiter came by and refilled the salsa bowl. We placed our orders. The meals were on the table in less than 10 minutes. The restaurant was very clean and decorated. The waiter came by a few times during the meal to see if everything was okay. Food: My wife ordered a simple salad bowl with chicken in it which she loved. Had to take some home. I ordered the Fajita Tulum with beef, chicken and shrimp. It came out sizzling. Plenty of meat. I had to take half of it home with 2 of the tortillas. Along with the fajita mix were refried beans, pico de gallos, guacamole, rice, and sour cream. This was very good. Which is a problem for me...when I return to a restaurant, having liked the first meal, I end up getting the same thing again. Cost: it was reasonable, given today's prices. Go back: Absolutely. We've been to a number of restaurants in Plover recently, including a few mexican style restaurants. I've placed this on the top of my "go to" restaurants in Plover.

Service- great Food -delicious…read more Ambiance and restaurant- woodsy and chill My friend told me all the food at PJ's is great, so I gave it a try! We ordered: Cheese curds Truffle tots Pjs burger w/ sweet potato fries Pjs burger w/ wood oven veggies Ny strip, w/ oven veggies Brussels sprouts Lemon blueberry salad Wood oven crisp Clafoutis She was right, all the food was really good! My favorite were the cheese curds because coating was crispy and well seasoned, and the Brussels sprouts because they were well seasoned and crunchy. I would definitely recommend PJ's and order from here again.

Unfortunately our dinner experience was not good. We spent almost three hours at dinner waiting for missed drinks and missed food! Management please work with your servers. Educate them on the meals that are offered. Not knowing what is in a dish is ridiculous. Not telling us about the Friday fish fry (we found out after dinner). When a burger got missed on our order because of the server, have the kitchen rush on a burger instead of one person in our party of eight waiting 45 minutes for their burger while we all ate. Such a shame because our food was good. We just did not plan on sitting there for almost three hours! We wanted to have an after drink outside but it was too late. I worry for this place.

We verified our selection approx one week before our reservations. We were told it was all good and wood not be a problem. I was happy. However when we got there that night we were told they were out of 2 or 3 of the items on our already limited menu. Needless to say I was not happy. The waitress was sweet but scattered. The bartender poured a good drink but was totally overwhelmed by the number of people in the restaurant. Staffing was a HUGE issue. No bus person to help with clearing dishes. The waitress had to serve drinks, take orders, serve appetizers, clear plates, serve main course in many trips to the kitchen. Total confusion. It was a mess. Totally understaffed. We were served a very Grey steak on a white plate with nothing else on it. Unappetizing! Then had to wait several minutes to get the side dishes, potatoes, sauces, mushrooms etc. not good. The steaks were a bit tough and totally unappetizing. Sad when your paying $79.00 for the Porterhouse. To give them some credit they discounted our dinner because they ran out of food that was on our menu. ( side note we had 6:00pm reservations that we made several weeks prior). I will not be returning any time soon.

The food and waitstaff was great- congrats to the Browns-fab-waitress on her team's win. She was so helpful, and fun! They did not have the volume up on the game, which probably kept me from yelling as much as usual. We enjoyed the large cocktail menu, specials and number of TVs. Also, the entrance is an actual giant beer barrel - super cool. Plenty of parking, mostly bar fare.

We were in town and someone suggested going here, so we headed over for Saturday dinner…read more Unfortunately, if I'm being completely honest, it was just not great. When you consider the food prices, the credit card fee, and the taste of the food itself, it's hard to even give this place 3 out of 5 stars and call it "average." I hate giving lower reviews, especially to smaller businesses, but this place needs some work. I'm going to write the kind of honest review I wish I would have seen before going here. To start, the prices are quite high. For what they're charging, I expected much better food. On top of that, they also charge a credit card fee, which means they are passing that cost onto the customer in addition to the high menu prices. That alone is an immediate negative for me. The ambience of the place itself isn't bad. It's a larger restaurant, and the curved door and circular shape are actually kind of cool. It's also cool having TVs all around. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was pretty slow. That said, if the locals have been here before, I can understand why it was slow, given the food quality and prices. I got the 1/2 Tequila BBQ Burger, and it was pretty boring. I can make much better burgers at home. It needed better seasoning, or really just any seasoning at all. The tequila bbq sauce was fine, but it mostly tasted like very sweet barbecue sauce. I got waffle fries with my order, and they were also just fine. Someone else at our table got the beer-battered fries, and those were much better. I do want to give them credit there. The beer-battered fries were actually quite good. I asked my wife and sister what they thought of their meals, and both of them were incredibly disappointed. My wife got a salad with chicken, and it was very boring. Again, it was something we could make better at home for cheaper. My sister got the salmon, and she was not impressed at all. I read through some of the other reviews, and I think a lot of them may be from locals, whereas I was just visiting town. But I agree with many of the negative points people have made, and I've already said it here: the food just isn't good, especially considering the prices they're charging. I'd recommend looking for a different restaurant in the area. If management happens to read this review, I think they could improve things by reviewing the quality of the food they're serving and working to improve the overall taste. Otherwise, they should consider lowering prices to better match the quality of the food. The portion sizes were good, and that is another thing I do want to give them credit for. At the end of the day, maybe we just didn't order the right things, but no one at our table enjoyed their meal enough to want to go back. This place needs a lot of work, and I hope they have better success in the future. Next time we are in town, though, we will be going somewhere else.
