I really was hopeful and eager to give four stars but I just couldn't do it. Not that anything was wrong or bad about the place but the food just wasn't stand out enough. However I must say the walleye special was cooked to PERFECTION. Delicious and massive cut of fish, flaked perfectly and flavorful. I just didn't love the "potato crusted" part which turned out to be hash browns all over it. For an upscale restaurant the hash browns felt way too bar-foody to me. Love the out of the box thinking but just wasn't quite a home run in this application. In addition, the price was too high in my opinion. Speaking of price, we felt the appetizer was way overpriced too. We got the bourbon shrimp which was quite good (if you like spicier stuff!) but it's just four shrimp and a blob of rice....for $15.50! We're not talking gourmet or jumbo shrimp here either. That being said though, I can't go without saying that this place provides a wonderful unique experience. We reserved a private dining room and it was lovely and very private since it's teeny and no one else is in there with you. We enjoyed looking around at the historic decor of the train car while also feeling the awesome fall breeze with the open windows. Only downside with that was lots of traffic noise. Given the price points of the menu, aka what is advertised as an upscale restaurant, I'd say a suggestion we have is that they have a better drink list. Only wine is listed and given to you at your table and the waitress brought us what she called an "old drink (cocktail) list." A full spirits list would be really helpful and classy for people like my husband who look forward to seeing what the bar has on hand. We're from out of town so I don't think we'll be back but in general it was a neat evening and different experience. It's just a big bummer they seem to be a little off on their execution vs price point.

Such a cute restaurant with thematic decorations. Attentive service. There were many food options that I'd have loved to also try. I had chose the specials for both dinner and dessert, but all of their regular menu items sounded wonderful.

Our group of 8 thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this supper club. The food was delicious, and our server paid attention to all the details. Meal began with unique drink offerings and bread service. All patrons in our party enjoyed the various meals (salmon, jumbalaya, shrimp Miguel, Caesar salad, roasted garlic bulb). The ambience is that of a tradition WI supper club, but unique in that half of the restaurant is literally an old train car with two private dining areas, perfect for a date night. We were a little shocked that the prices online were not as shown on the menu in the restaurant, but we understand that this is a representation of the current times and changes in consumerism.

The private dining room is perfect for a romantic dinner.

Stopped to have dinner with my boyfriend and the food was outstanding! So fresh and absolutely amazing. The service was great and right on target. The Pomagranite Mule was delicious and Allan had the Old Fashion which was very stiff. The steak was tender and full of flavor while the ribs were juicy and fell off the bone. At first we only ordered the half rack but ended up ordering the other half because it was so good. I would highly recommend visiting The Silver Coach restaurant.

Silver Coach offers a contemporary menu and an intimate setting. During a recent visit, we enjoyed the blackened Salmon in garlic sauce and a shrimp & scallop special over pasta. Entrees were great. However, The crawfish ball appetizer on special wasn't so special after all. The texture was funky and the mustard sauce masked the crawfish flavor I was craving. The best seats in the house are the private dining rooms in the Pullman railway car. They seat 2-4. Avoid dining outside. It's nothing special. We ate outside during a recent visit and won't make that mistake again. The patio is unremarkable and patio service was less attentive than indoor dining. It's a great place for a date. Not a great place to bring the whole family -- especially if you have young kids. I plan to come back to try their Peri Peri entrees -- which are very spicy.

Our Valentines dinner, at the Silver coach. Very exceptional.

My husband and I are new to the area and wanted to go some where more than just a casual place, for our Valentines dinner. The Silver Coach seemed like the place. It was intimate as advertised. Was disappointed about the dress attire. I felt out of place, it was more casual then dressy. Our dinner was outstanding, five stars for that and our service was just as great. It is a little a pricey as advertised but we were ok with that. Their martins were also wonderful, a great variety. Five stars for that. The food was cooked perfectly. Very impressed! So over all five stars, I rarely give a place five stars. Being from Illinois and eating at very upscale restaurants in Chicago, this is right up there with their cuisine. My only suggestion would be more strict about dress code. This was a outstanding restaurant! I know we will be back! Great job!! Melissa

SIlver Coach Supper Club Hwy 66 just off Hwy 51 Exit 158 Stevens Point WI - private dining - sleeper car

Fun find - Silver Coach Supper Club - our server Juliet made it a fun visit and offered the private dining room that was formerly a "sleeper" in the original train car - very interesting details in this private dining room for two. In all candor dining at the Silver Coach deserves more time than we really wanted to devote as we were just driving through and ordered from their "lighter fare" portion of the menu. I tried the short rail ribs with fries and she tried the chicken strips with fries - again, probably not what we'd typically order for finer dining. My ribs were delicious, tasty, tangy sauce and her chicken strips were a little dry but tasty enough. We both had Brandy Old fashioneds from the bar and they were excellent. The decor is step back in time, nicely done. The next time we visit, we'll allow more time to soak in the ambiance and enjoy the full supper club experience. Enjoy, we did.

Love the environment but this place has gotten overpriced post-Covid. Many other places with equal or better quality for much less costs.

From the moment you walk in, the bar sets the tone--dark wood, warm lighting, friendly bartenders who make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Seriously, if I lived in Stevens Point, their bar would be my go-to day drinking hangout. I will note that they make a well made cocktail from their drink menu. Further, their brandy old fashioneds are perfect, and are sizeable. To start, the goat cheese bruschetta is a must‑order. Creamy, tangy goat cheese paired with perfectly toasted bread and a nice garlic topping. I don't even like goat cheese but, there were plenty good. For dinner, Michelle's has all the supper club with the surf and turf classics. The beer‑battered walleye is exactly what you'd hope for: crisp, flavorful, and somehow not greasy at all. If fish isn't your pick, the planked salmon with a sweet pecan topping to provide contrasting flavours and textures. All in all, Michelle's is everything you want from a Wisconsin supper club: welcoming vibes, great cocktails, knockout comfort food, and that timeless charm that keeps you coming back. They do lose a start because of service...it was so slow, and I don't quite understand why because there were a number of empty tables. The other curiosity that I would mention is that when we played the leftover salmon we left it on the plank. They asked for the plank bank to reuse? They're only good for a couple uses tops before the oils are gone...and that is not entirely sanitary...but that is just me perhaps. If you're in Stevens Point, hit this place up. It's worth it.

We arrived prior to our reservation, so we sat at the bar while waiting and frankly that was the best part until a bartender stuck a glass into the ice well and broke said glass, then picked some ice and presumably broken glass out. I can say that after watching Bar Rescue since season one I was at a code red upon witnessing that, but my husband that works in food/bev service who abides by the protocols for said circumstance was horrified and literally stopped getting anything that required ice after seeing they didn't empty the ice well and clean it out before replacing glassy-icy with fresh ice. Then we were taken to our table and encountered our poor waitress, Tiff. She had tables in sections so far away from us--separately partitioned sections but also a separate room. Service was horrible, but she was spread so that thin it was clearly an owner/manager problem (as the other two waitresses we saw were never in the other sections, yet she was at close to a run between the three). Sky Club could have at least had bussers clearing the courses, but instead our table was a wasteland of glasses, bowls, app plates and main course plates. And I'd be embarrassed to claim my place had the first salad bar in the US if it was a disaster of mayhem regarding both order and produce. It's only a salad bar, no soup, yet plates were around the entirety of the baby salad bar. People kept grabbing one of the myriads of stacked plates and cutting in at nonsensical points. There were spoiled grape tomatoes and broccoli heads, huge partial heads of lettuce, yet no cottage cheese??? The beef stroganoff had overcooked pasta, the beef and mushrooms were indistinguishable from one another, and there was not enough "gravy" (that's what their menu called it). Prime rib was gray and bland. Shrimp was bland. Salmon was bland. Mac & cheese was dry and bland. There were five of us, and the only thing that was truly enjoyed at any point was the French onion soup. We wanted to order more drinks and planned on having dessert, but due to how thin management spread Tiff, we basically prayed to baby Jesus just to get our bill. Shame on the owners/management! She was literally running, while older waitresses with a handful of tables were lounging. Teach the old ones to buss tables. This is not a good look for Sky Club. Not only did you lose money on food & drinks with mismanagement, but out of all the supper clubs in the state, we never want or plan to return again.
