Everything was just perfect! I was on my way home to Madison from Minocqua, and stopped in Stevens Point for dinner. I dislike going to fast food restaurants, and prefer the little, out-of-the-way, or not so out-of-the-way places that are usually super tasty. Picked Legacy at random, and I was not disappointed. Soups of the day were chicken and dumpling, and taco. I had the chicken and dumpling, and oh wow, was it delicious. Scratch made, apparently. Could use slightly larger chunks of chicken, but it was very present. Never had a broth so flavorful! Aside from the cup that goes with your meal, I also had a bowl of it, it's that good. My meal was a simple patty melt, and they accommodated my request for mushrooms instead of onions quite easily. I was either very hungry or it was just that good. Perfect burger meat, cooked medium, with little grease drip, American cheese and on marble rye. And a pickle on the side. Heaven tonight. I missed out on pie, as it wouldn't survive the ride home. Just an excuse to come back through! No pictures cuz I ate it all. Keenan was a great and personable server, so keep him around! read more

On a road trip and found this restaurant right alongside the road. It's large with 2 rooms, each with booths and tables. The parking lot was almost full, but we were seated right away. We were greeted and seated immediately, and offered beverages by a young man. Our server came within a few minutes, was friendly and gave clear feedback to our requests and questions. Our food seemed to come in 5 minutes! I had a veggie omelette, full of perfectly-cooked veggies and just enough cheese to ooze a bit with each bite, the egg itself was moist and fluffy. I couldn't eat it all. The hash browns were a bit crispy on my plate but soft and fluffy on my husband's. The staff checked in on us frequently and complied quickly to our requests (I.e. extra napkins). The bathroom was clean with all amenities needed. All and all, for a roadside diner,it hit the spot. read more

Had a very terrible experience with this restaurant, while dining with family. The food was less than adequate and overpriced. I ordered the Saturday supper club experience king cut prime rib. This cut was 14oz for $36.99. I made it very clear I wanted my prime rib rare. When I received my meal, the prime rib was brown and gray colored and cooked well done. I met with the owner and explained to her my complaint and she said that was the only way the prime rib was cooked. This has a red flag that the prime rib is pre-cooked slices that are warmed and served. The supper club experience was served with salad bar and relish tray. The relish tray consisted of pickles, cauliflower, carrots and cheese spread. No dill tip. The salad bar was not much more than a house salad which is included with a normal meal. The price of the salad bar was $16.99 and the relish tray was $7.99. Eventually they did replace my prime with a ribeye, but still charged me the full prime rib price. I again met with the owner, and explained to her the over charge. She was very rude and refused to adjust the price and it was not their fault I was not satisfied with my meal. I will never return or recommend this restaurant. It is poorly run with terrible food. read more

My food has been fine. I come about once a month since they opened because I like the fresh cut fries. I've had good waitresses and not so good ones - although the worst one I had is no longer here. Thank goodness. My biggest complaint, And it does bother me enough that I will probably quit coming. I just kept thinking it would get fixed during a health inspection. But here we are over a year later and it is still happening. The hostess - who I see go everywhere, even into the kitchen, ALWAYS wears a tank top. Underarms flying everywhere. Having worked in restaurants previously that used to be a HUGE no-no. I find it extremely gross. read more

Yummy food, friendly atmosphere. My husband and I eat there frequently and always enjoy ourselves. I love their omelette with a pancake. The owners are usually there chatting with and checking on their customers to make sure the food is good. We highly recommend the place. read more

Both had excellent breakfast I hav a breakfast and spouse had an omelet. Cooked perfect, great service by Tricia and clean

It's decent. Good service. Don't love the interior design and the bathroom is incredibly smelly. Prices are a little steep and the food just isn't that great. It's okay but nothing to write home about. They have a large selection of homemade pies though - and those are really really good. I got the Dubai pie. Delicious. read more

Ordered an open-faced turkey sandwich and it was awful. Dry old turkey, canned gravy. Not to mention it smelt like sewer backup and the waitress had to move us from the booth we were in because it smelled so bad. The service was good the food was not. read more

My (our) overall experience at Legacy was superb! The space, the food and the service from the wait staff was beyond expectations.

This used to be the old Mi Pueblo Mexican Restaurant before they moved to the old Charcoal Grill building. So this establishment was conveniently located next to a hotel and gas station. Parking lot is plenty. I ordered the Hot Open Face Sandwich and my husband ordered Rover's Special. It came with complimentary soups. Choose the potato soup! Oh my goodness, it's so flavorful. I can't wait to eat some during the cold winter months. With that said, I think the food is very mediocre. Not a bad thing as I would rather eat here than a lot of similar restaurants in the area. I didn't care for their Reuben pizza. My food, mainly the gravy, was heavily salted. I couldn't finish my meal because I was full from drinking so much water. My husband's burger was also very salty, greasy, and it dripped down his hand. I took a bite, just greasy with not a lot of flavor other than salt. The restaurant has a laid back vibe. Our server was so kind and very chatty. She was upbeat and willing to assist. She answered a lot of questions and suggested items from the menu. This isn't our last stop. We would dine in again. read more

I found this restaurant extremely dull. Menu was boring, food barely adequate, service extremely patronizing, and interior so dull it was actually unappetizing. Why anyone would go there is beyond me. One and done. read more

Very clean, great staff who all helped each other, and the food was amazing! Steak & eggs: 6 oz sirloin was cooked to perfection and the home made white toast was to die for. Offer was never ending and the price was vERy reasonable. Definitely recommend. read more

This was my first time eating here and will also be my last server treated us like we were intruders got pissed at us right off the bat because we were not ready to order within minutes of sitting down we were there as a group of 8 multiple of the group did not get what they ordered management tried to straight up lie to me telling me that something was what it wasn't just straight up terrible service all the way around read more

My wife had a hair in her pancake. We ask to have it redone, but (and this is no joke) they put the same food out. I was shocked. I could tell because a mark on the plate was still there and there was an unusual formation of the pancake and the shape was the same. My wife insisted on fresh food not re-inspected potentially contaminated food. They didn't even offer a discount of any kind for their disgusting mistake. The turkey on my club sandwich was dry and old looking. The rest was good so a BLT would have been ok. My wife also needed some more creamer for her coffee and I said, "Ma'am?" To get her attention and she continued to walk away from me and held her index finger. A proper response would have been, "Just a moment, sir." I cannot speak for all of the waitresses, but our experience was enough to cross this off our list of return restaurants. To put it succinctly, Gordon Ramsay would have a cow. read more
