When you consider the food prices, the credit card fee, and the taste of the food itself, it's hard to even give this place 3 out of 5 stars and call it "average." I hate giving lower reviews, especially to smaller businesses, but this place needs some work. I'm going to write the kind of honest review I wish I would have seen before going here. To start, the prices are quite high. For what they're charging, I expected much better food. On top of that, they also charge a credit card fee, which means they are passing that cost onto the customer in addition to the high menu prices. That alone is an immediate negative for me. The ambience of the place itself isn't bad. It's a larger restaurant, and the curved door and circular shape are actually kind of cool. It's also cool having TVs all around. We were there on a Saturday night, and it was pretty slow. That said, if the locals have been here before, I can understand why it was slow, given the food quality and prices. I got the 1/2 Tequila BBQ Burger, and it was pretty boring. I can make much better burgers at home. It needed better seasoning, or really just any seasoning at all. The tequila bbq sauce was fine, but it mostly tasted like very sweet barbecue sauce. I got waffle fries with my order, and they were also just fine. Someone else at our table got the beer-battered fries, and those were much better. I do want to give them credit there. The beer-battered fries were actually quite good. I asked my wife and sister what they thought of their meals, and both of them were incredibly disappointed. My wife got a salad with chicken, and it was very boring. Again, it was something we could make better at home for cheaper. My sister got the salmon, and she was not impressed at all. I read through some of the other reviews, and I think a lot of them may be from locals, whereas I was just visiting town. But I agree with many of the negative points people have made, and I've already said it here: the food just isn't good, especially considering the prices they're charging. I'd recommend looking for a different restaurant in the area. If management happens to read this review, I think they could improve things by reviewing the quality of the food they're serving and working to improve the overall taste. Otherwise, they should consider lowering prices to better match the quality of the food. The portion sizes were good, and that is another thing I do want to give them credit for. At the end of the day, maybe we just didn't order the right things, but no one at our table enjoyed their meal enough to want to go back. This place needs a lot of work, and I hope they have better success in the future. Next time we are in town, though, we will be going somewhere else.

Amber Grill is attached to convention hall in the Holliday Inn. Obviously it can be accessed from…read morethe parking lot, but you can also get there by walking through the hotel and convention center. It was pretty busy tonight (Tuesday) and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with my meal. Not that I though the food would not be good, (it was good). I just expected the service to be limited and that I would have a long wait for my food. After a little bit of a wait at the hostess station, I was seated and got almost immediate service from my waitress. Drink and salad came out quickly and main course followed in a reasonable amount of time. My waitress (Bryanna) was very friendly and attentive (she even put the Bucks Game on for me)! I really liked the teriyaki green beans that came as a side with my meal. It was a nice surprise and it was way better than your basic veggie. I was hungry, so I ordered the full rack of Ribs with Jack Daniel BBQ sauce. The full rack was actually 2 half racks and one of the two was excellent but the other one was a bit dry. (So 50/50 on the Ribs!). Even the drier rack was still not bad. This restaurant has a lot to offer. It's a place that a family could bring their kids, or a group could enjoy the bar, or in my case, a great option when your traveling and you want a good meal and want to watch the game while you eat.

How ever they heated them made the cheese chewy and chunky. The restaurant is supposed to close at 10 and the bartender who is quite rude started closing up at 8:30. Removed the popcorn from the machine at that time. Eye-rolled several times. We asked if she wanted us to leave and she replied "no, there are people at a table on the other side" Fast forward to the next night. There was a blizzard but- people gotta eat. I called to see how late they were open.(Google says 10) and whoever answered said "10- no, 9:30, no, 9:00". We went there because it was pretty much our only choice. This time, there was no popcorn. It was 7:00. We asked her to make some popcorn and she wouldn't. She took my boyfriend's drink away before he was done with it. He pointed it out and she was like " oh, sorry" eye roll again. Absolutely horrible bartender. Breakfast buffet was as weak as they come. Mo bread of any sort. I asked for toast. It was the weakest thing toast I have ever had. AND- they charges me an additional $3.00 for it.

My brother had the perch fish fry and I had the bluegill special. We were happy with the coating, taste and temperature of the fish--no fishy flavor. Both came with soup or salad, coleslaw, bread and cracker basket, choice of potato, and dessert. Spumoni ice cream was a choice and what a treat. Rarely see that as an option. Other dessert options were bread pudding, tapioca pudding and vanilla ice cream with the option of chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was nothing special, but the refills kept coming without us having to ask. Back in the day, we used to come here if we wanted leftovers for another meal. Happy to say that still holds true. A favorite of the locals for decades, this family restaurant provides generous portions in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The closest thing to a Greek restaurant there is in the area. A good place to relax and unwind, but if you're looking for a fancy, upscale place with creative, gourmet cooking, go elsewhere.

We have eaten here many times in the past and were happy with the food and service. Lately though…read morethe place has gone downhill. A few months ago we went for dinner and I had the Caesar Salad with chicken which was always delicious. Not that time. Instead of romaine lettuce, the Caesar (which is supposed to be ROMAINE) was made with horrible iceberg lettuce, and it was all limp and soggy before the dressing was even added. Last night I ordered the Turkey dinner which was one of their Sunday specials, only to be told they were out. We were not told when seated that the Turkey dinner was out, or I would have looked at the menu and chose something else. The waitress did not inform us until others at our table had already ordered. I took a chance and ordered the Caesar Salad with chicken and mentioned to the waitress that the last time it was not made with Romaine, and she said she'd make sure it was. Well, the salad did have Romaine, but that was all that was correct for the salad. There were NO cucumbers (which I love about their salad), croutons or parmesan cheese (which are also a standard for this salad) and the tomatoes were horrible! The few tomato slices were yellow and white, totally inedible. As I was eating I discovered that they had the gall to add green peppers to a Caesar Salad. OMG. I hate green peppers! I took them all off and gave them to my husband. We told the waitress but she said they were apparently out of cucumbers and cheese. You would think they could have offered to comp the salad considering so much was wrong with it. Nope. If a restaurant is out of an ingredient that is essential for a recipe, the customer should be told ahead of time, instead of just exchanging it with something else that the customer might not like. My husband had the Spinach Blue Wrap which is supposed to smothered in Bleu Cheese. There was no Bleu cheese in the wrap but swiss used instead. We were so disappointed!!!!
