    Jimmy skillets & Belgium waffle

Love the ambiance and decor of this cafe. Staff is friendly and are quick to refill coffee and water. They have a great looking menu, with plenty of options. Two of us chose the Jimmy skillet and one chose the Belgium waffle w/strawberry and blueberry topping and whipped cream. The skillets were hot, with fresh ingredients. The only thing that would have made it better would be if the hashbrowns were crispy (I'll have to request that next time). The waffle was good, but the strawberry and blueberry topping is a little sweet, so would get those on the side next time.

Eggs, hash browns & corn beef hash

Ordered medium poached but the whites were runny. Frozen hash browns out of the bag weren't tender & corn beef was as over cooked as I've ever had. Told the waitress about it but she just walked away. Should have rejected the entire meal!

Retro vibe. We'll see about the fish fry.

I came to Wicked Willow today for the first time in a few years. My time allowance from arrival to…read moredeparture was a maximum of 35 minutes. The inside of the restaurant was much the same as before, minus a row of colorful, decorative flags-- some of which had cartoon kitty faces on them. The menus were also moved to behind the counter and their former spot on the west wall displayed vegan philosophy. The service format was updated from traditional table ordering to modern counter ordering. A tantalizing array of desserts stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the cash register. A kind and pleasant restaurant employee greeted me promptly and began to refresh me on the updated menu, but there was no need for them to finish as soon as I read the word, "curry". I shared with them my decision, paid, and seated myself. It was only a few minutes before my meal arrived. The portion size was quite generous and on par with curry portions at Chef Chu's and Samoeun's. My initial impression of Wicked Willow's curry was that it looked and smelled wholesome. It looked more like a stew than a stir fry, as the liquid looked more comparable to vegetable broth than to curry sauce. It lacked the bright orange coloring and the oil deposits characteristic of many curries. The stew contained perfectly-sized chunks of broccoli, carrots, onions, red bell peppers, yellow bell peppers, and cauliflower, as well as chickpeas. A generous heap of white rice accompanied the stew. Chopped cilantro topped the dish. The word "spicy" appeared next to the word "curry" on the menu, but I found this spiciness level to be effortlessly palatable. I might not be the best person to ask, though, because I eat spicy tuna every day, but only those offended by mild taco seasoning could find this dish anything but delightful. I was impressed with the dish and with my overall experience at Wicked Willow. The curry is the perfect choice for anyone in a social situation with the expectation of ordering food and not wanting to blow their body composition goals, as it did not contain coconut milk or oil, for which some other curries are known. It's what everyone's doctor wishes they would eat, truly. My bill was $11- so, party like it's 2007, I guess! I departed with eleven minutes to spare, and I recommend Wicked Willow to all.

I would understand if there was under staffing but they seemed to have plenty of staff, however only one was making sandwiches. Typically I love Firehouse and have a great experience, that was not the reputation they presented today. After getting the sandwich we are able to give 2 stars because the sandwich was really good as they always are. Still disappointed in the experience though.

Our presence was acknowledged and one of the employees immediately offered to take our order. I like how there were a few people in the back working diligently the orders. It took about 5-10 minutes to make 5 sandwiches. It came out warm. My sandwich looked awesome. It wasn't messy and easy to eat. Compared to the Subway sandwiches that drips when I take bites, the bread was a hearty, more dense that captured the juices. The meatball was juicy and the marinara sauce had a tang. I enjoyed mine. The other people in my group enjoyed theirs too. My husband's was messier to eat. He felt like it was just ok. Overall, it was a very filling sandwich. The floor and tables were a bit messy. The tables needed to be wiped down and the floors had crumbs all over but it's ok, we hopped back to D1 to continue with our evening and ate our dinner there.
