The name of this restaurant is beyond fitting! The Cozy Kitchen is indeed a very cozy, homie, and dare I say nostalgic kind of diner. The staff were as friendly as they can be and made us feel like regulars, regardless of it being our first time in. We visited for a late breakfast with multiple kids (4 years and younger). The staff kept all the adults caffeinated and went above and beyond to make sure the kids had a great experience! (Ie, making sure they had drinks, plenty of napkins, and ever some cookies after they ate) The food was all very good! The table got a verity of options and all plates were left empty. You can really tell that this dinner puts in effort with their food. They even offered numerous HOMEMADE baked goods like breads, pies, cakes and cookies that's to their on-site baker. I will be returning to cozy kitchen in the future whenever I am in town visiting family. I highly recommend you visit if you're looking for someplace cozy to eat. read more

Small, quaint place downtown - able to park on street. Well run establishments- one server out front and she rocked it. Tables for 2 or four- and counter service. Solid breakfast- eggs cooked just as ordered- no complaints. Love a runny egg- and dip their homemade toast in it- yum! Mexican scramble was tasty - chorizo not greasy. Hash browns were nicely crisp on outside- and plump inside. Nice portions- in our minds. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars- I would. (And you might run into UWSP hockey players at breakfast!) read more

Great atmosphere and the staff is so friendly! They really make you feel like you are apart of the community.

Nice waitress and very clean restaurant. Portions are more than average, food was decent. Needs more flavor. Wish we knew there were tomatoes on the eggs Benedict as it made it extra soggy. Middle of the road. read more

The food was great even if the over worked waitress wasn't overly friendly. Great food, I had the biscuits and gravy. In close proximity to a dive bar so the grounds and shared bathroom were a little sketchy. read more

Waitress attentive, food good, prices arent too high. Would recommend. Conveuentally located.

Cozy is code for "crowded" in this particular case. All of the tables are PACKED in to the point that walking to the restrooms can be challenging. Also, if you plan on dining with more than four people, be prepared to take over two tables, and they don't have anything larger than a four top. The food was pretty standard diner food that you would get anywhere. Nothing was awful, but nothing was brilliant either. Service was acceptable, although it was clear the regulars got preferred treatment. read more

After two bad experiences we have decided we Are done with Cozy Kitchen. The first time the food we Ordered took an hour to get to our table. The second time My family and I walked in and seated ourselves then after waiting 20 min with no attention from any of The staff we left and went to another restaurant That had us seated and looking over our menus in no time. read more

Food was yummy. But the day we went there they were short handed and the time took very long.

This place is definitely cozy. Maybe 8 booths and a few tables plus another 8 or so seats at the bar. If you are looking to social distance this isn't the place for you. Classic diner, with fresh coffee and breakfast served all day long. I had the cozy omelet which was rather large with homemade white toast and bacon. It was a a good amount of food for under $10. I'd come back. read more

This is truly a cozy little place to visit. No parking? Park in the library which is across the street. We walked into a dining room filled with all walks of life. We could sit anywhere. Our waitress came with the menu after a few minutes. Mugs hung on the wall so you could grab any for coffee. We aren't coffee drinkers so we opted for water. The menu was pretty extensive. Cinnamon rolls, pierogis, to biscuits and gravy. I ordered the special plate which consisted of 2 eggs, hash brown potatoes, toast, and 2 sausage patties while my husband ordered pancakes, sausage links, and 2 eggs. What bothered me was that a family of 3 and a couple that came after us got their orders before us and they ordered basically the same thing. When I got my plate, an over-easy egg was already burst open with the yolk spilling over the hash browns. I also found a piece of egg shell in my eggs. The sausage tastes like store bought. Our waitress never, not even once, came to check on us or refilled our drink. They spent a lot of their times chatting with the other diners. Probably regulars. We ate our meal nonetheless and paid for the check, which they handed to us when they brought over the food. No thank you. No see you again. We just walked out. Nothing about the breakfast was special or worth returning for. read more

Management needs to be a little better... We waited an hour to get our food. The food tasted good, but it was cold by the time it got out. Our server was very nice, but it was all way too much for one to handle. We didn't get our silverware or half my order. The place was cute, but the owners gotta get it together. read more

$16.33 for a hearty lunch for two. We also purchased a gift card for a friends teen who will be attending college here. The ambiance is what makes this the spot to sit back, relax, get into conversations with locals if wanted or just enjoy your meal. A small diner with all the trimmings of WI. The roast beef special came with roast beef, white bread, mashed potatoes a sample gravy. The meatloaf came with a sturdy slice of meat loaf, mashed potatoes, ample gravy and crisp corn kernels and a buttered bun. Both meals were delicious. The meat loaf was a tad salty for my taste but I appreciated the perfectly cooked corn and enough gravy to not leave me with plain mashed potatoes. Comfort food that leaves you satisfied. I took a molasses/oatmeal raisin cookie to go that went well with my ice tea. If we lived in the area we would bringing our out of town friends here all the time. read more

Classic breakfast staples with some good Polish items (pierogi, kielbasa, etc.). My mom loved going here. Very small and don't recommend for a big group, I'd say max 4 people. My favorite place downtown for a classic diner breakfast. read more

We spend quite a few weeks a year in Stevens Point and only now discovered this place. Certainly going to add it to the short list of breakfast joints. We arrived around 12:30 Saturday. Plenty of open tables. Quick, friendly attentive service. My wife is a pancake aficionado and that's why we tried the place. Best in town per her review. I had the Mexican Scrambler which was a winner from first bite to last. Note - closed Sundays, Monday. Too bad as otherwise we'd be back today! read more

If you want to experience what a friendly heartland diner feels like, there's no better place than here. And btw, the food is wonderful too.

I just left the Cozy Kitchen a couple hours ago after finding out the other restaurant I wanted to go to was closed. The Cozy Kitchen is very nice. The staff is friendly and the food was pretty darn good. I am usually nervous about going to Café, but I know I've been here before many years ago. So, I figured on trying it again. Again, I'm glad I did and I will definitely go back. read more

The best greasy spoon in Point for breakfast! Great kielbasa breakfast special and be sure to ask for the home made toast so yummy. Delish!

Went here for breakfast on a Saturday morning and the place was packed. Sign said home cooking what could be better. It is a cozy place with a counter, booths and a few tables. Menu is not that big but has the right things. I had the biscuit and gravy with scrambled and a a side of ham. Biscuit gravy was thick with crumbled sausage, not links cut into slices. The scrambled eggs standard and the ham was not off the bone. Over all it was good and if I lived here hit would be a breakfast spot. It felt like a small town down home place. read more

Small restaurant, great food and nice people. What more could you ask for. I have gone there for breakfast several time and have never been disappointed. In addition, the owners are very supportive of community activities. Highly recommended. read more

SO good! Kind and attentive staff, great flow to everything (tables seemed to turnover just at the right time--on a Saturday morning), and really good food! A must for a well-priced and tasty breakfast in the area. read more

The pierogi were massive and excellent! It's a typical American diner and the price is definitely right. Will definitely try again. read more

This us a local meal place for retirees and people who work downtown. The soups are always good and the dinner plate daily specials are filling and affordable. I had the cream of potato soup and a cup of chili. Both were good, diner style offerings. It's a cold day and the soup came good n' hot at 10:30 in the morning. This place is and always has been frequented by people on fixed incomes. The wait and cooking staff is attentive and polite to everyone. Tip them generously for the community service that they are to the elderly who can still get around. read more

Good home town cooking. Nothing fancy, but very well done. Fun retro style decor. Wish they had more of the Polish cuisine mentioned on the menu, but a solid place for American cooking. read more

Hole in the wall place. Excellent service. Excellent food. Found this place thanks to Yelp My western omelette was good. Sausage gravy was seasoned perfect. Too bad I live so far away or this would be my prime breakfast spot. Oh the homemade bread. What's up with that? It was amazing. Would really love more of that. read more

I found it a nice small size dinner where the people are just as good as the food. Everything reasonably priced and excellent sit down and enjoy life very down to earth. The people working here are also very nice and I will absolutely want to come back here again and again. I am home. read more

Cozy Kitchen - Cozy kitchen in stevens point could be a favorite breakfast destination. - Diners Near Me - Stevens Point, Wisconsin

Ok food. Cheap. One of the few places in stevens point where you wont get hepatitis though. They have that going for them.

Hidden gem is right! I visited here from Chicago, I was looking for a neighborhood restaurant with a diner-type feel and this was it. Cozy (no pun intended!) and quaint inside with that comfort food appeal. I ordered the Patty Melt with fries & it was perfectly grilled, the meat was fresh & the grilled onions were chopped instead of stringy. Even though I was full I had to order the homemade blueberry crunch pie, and it was to die for! The best thing about this place, besides the food of course, is that it won't break your bank. Completely reasonable pricing for good, well-prepared food without any frills. Highly recommended, I will be back if I'm in the area again! read more

Amazing little find, good home cooking like, or better than home, depending on who's cooking; and very cozy nostalgic little diner. Good meatloaf, without the ketchup and a rich beef gravy, and the baby red potatoes perfectly seasoned with butter and a touch of garlic, some of the best I've had. Wish I was going to be here longer so I could try more of the menu items. read more

Loved the Eggs Benedict! Great stop on your way North!

This is the absolute best place for breakfast! This is our number one go to! Love the food!!!

Missed Culver's off the interstate and ended up at this place. Looked at the menu and my first thought was the prices are way too low. Four of us had big breakfasts with coffee and the bill was under $34. Cute old school waitress who kept the coffee cups filled. Food was delicious and the homemade wheat bread was definitely worth the ride. A special thanks to Yelp for helping us find this "gem". read more

When you're on the road, a diner is the way to go. You know what to expect and it's hard to mess up. And this one was a winner. Quick, nice service. Fun place with all the cups and random decorations. Standard menu but with CHEAP prices. We ate for $20, with tip and coffee. I got the corned beef hash and it was delicious. Louisiana hot sauce on the side, yes please! Get the homemade white toast for 25 cents extra, ha. Very good and a no brainer to slop the corned beef, hash browns, and scrambled eggs on to it. Wife loved her grilled ham and cheese. And again, how can you mess that up? Great place! read more

Good homestyled food. Good priced. Feels like home. We love eatting on the patio durring the summer.

I reviewed this earlier, so this update is simply to restate how much I love the food and atmosphere at Cozy Kitchen. When I can take a "mini-vacation" from my job, this is where I head for a good meal, some chatting with waitstaff and owners (you don't HAVE to chat; they are otherwise inobtrusive), plus browsing through their excellent selection of current US magazines. All Cozy's items are home-made, and made well. Their baked chicken is the best in town. So is their bread pudding. Now that it's almost Lent, they'll have homemade paczki, little round filled doughnuts. So I am once again saying: Cozy is one of the best little restaurants in town. read more
