While on a trip to Wisconsin, I stumbled upon this restaurant. We went there a couple of times. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were so big that you could make 2 meals out of 1. The prices were reasonable. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the area. The parking was in a large parking lot. The restaurant is connected to other stores in a strip mall. The restaurant was clean and quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful. read more

Stopped in here to catch the Greyhound bus, to Milwaukee Airport. Decided to have a good breakfast. Wow! It was delicious! I ordered a traditional egg and bacon with hash browns and toast. It was a full plate of food! Definitely did not leave hungry. Well worth the money! Great place for the Greyhound bus to stop! read more

Very disappointing. Again. I reviewed this restaurant several years ago. Although they got rid of the ratty rug, the place hasn't changed much otherwise. Service was good. Restrooms are in the very back, shared with a tavern. The back area stinks and is off-putting. Ordered the fish fry. It was obviously twice fried. I suspect the kitchen anticipated a big business for fish fries, so prefried a bunch and left it sit under a heat lamp or something so it could be quick fried again before serving. Major fail. Over cooked, and actually burned on one side. There are about 100 items on the regular menu. The actual menu itself had seen better days, and was falling apart. I cannot recommend for supper. This review is actually a BIG FAT 0. As an out of towner I was at a local watering hole and I noticed everyone was talking food and restaurants so I started to ask where is the best breakfast in town in case my option was not that good, the locals must know. The bar tender says he works here and they have a great breakfast so I say how come you can't get a real chicken fried steak any more because it's all frozen crap. He states that they are not frozen here and I ask is it a fresh piece of meat and he assures me that it is. The menu states a hearty pork steak, breaded and fried. I took the left over with me so I could show this BULL SH%IT pork steak with close up pictures. The employee and the menu totally lied about what they are serving but there ok with that. On to the review of the food. I ordered the chicken fried steak with two egg scrambled eggs, hash browns and home made sour sough bread. The food came hot but not very fast. The chicken fried steak was that fake frozen crap so the menu lied. This scrambled eggs were perfect. The hash browns were good with a crispy shell and and pillowy on the inside. The sour dough toast was good. Over all I would not recommend this place because they false advertise the food and you get something completely different. This is probably the first time an item was grossly advertised that I ordered. I would never go here again. read more

Very friendly wait staff, but the quality and freshness just the there. So sad. Had the Greek salad that otherwise would have been excellent had it not been for the low-quality cafeteria-style Italian dressing. . It does not take a world-renowned chef to make a homemade Greek vinaigrette. You can Google a 5-ingredient one in seconds. Sheesh. And the waffle fries are decent, but not super fresh. The dumpling soup was decent, but lacking in chunks of chicken and/or fresh chicken (it was likely canned). Meh. There are so many more decent diner options nearby that you can definitely skip this one. read more

I'm going with my son that is autistic and sometimes very loud. I was pretty skeptical about going to this restaurant. They treated us very nice and I love how they always refill my coffee. Big plus is that the food is absolutely amazing and very good. It's always fresh and hot it was so good we Had to come here the second time. This place would definitely be our new spot. read more

We met my family here for a late lunch. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a great meal as well as wonderful and entertaining interaction with the staff. We enjoyed wonderful homemade split pea, chicken dumpling soups, and salad before having a broasted chicken dinner. The dinner came with a fresh bread and cracker/breadsticks basket. We were in town for the weekend and my sister wanted to see if the tuna melt was as good as she remembered it. She was not disappointed. My brother had the perch fish fry and I had the bluegill special. We were happy with the coating, taste and temperature of the fish--no fishy flavor. Both came with soup or salad, coleslaw, bread and cracker basket, choice of potato, and dessert. Spumoni ice cream was a choice and what a treat. Rarely see that as an option. Other dessert options were bread pudding, tapioca pudding and vanilla ice cream with the option of chocolate sauce and whipped cream. Service was prompt and friendly. The coffee was nothing special, but the refills kept coming without us having to ask. Back in the day, we used to come here if we wanted leftovers for another meal. Happy to say that still holds true. A favorite of the locals for decades, this family restaurant provides generous portions in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. The closest thing to a Greek restaurant there is in the area. A good place to relax and unwind, but if you're looking for a fancy, upscale place with creative, gourmet cooking, go elsewhere. read more

Oh Olympic, how many times have you brighten my morning as my friends and I would sluggishly walk through your doors craving food that will help cure my hangover. Since graduating from UWSP, my friends and I repeatedly go here after a night of reliving our college days and it always hits the spot. It's your classic diner family restaurant that's popular with locals. The menu is full of variety, I can only comment on the breakfast but there are plenty of omelets, skillets, and pancakes to choose from. I usually get an omelet or the steak and eggs. I can never think of time when I've been disappointed with meal. A plus side (if you really need a cure for that hangover), is you can order a Bloody Mary or other morning cocktail as the restaurant is connected to Pete's Bar as it has the same owner. If you're lucky there's a server who is not a Packers fan and every Sunday morning she will wear a shirt of the team that's playing the Packers that week. Yes I'm a Packers fan, but she has a spunky attitude and won't take any gruff so she's fun to converse with. Cheers to you Olympic and we'll see you again! read more

My son and I are from out of town for Oshkosh Air Venture 2015 and wanted to try a non chain restaurant. Oops, this was not the place. I seriously was afraid to eat the food. It just did not look right. Also, the waitress acted pissed off. Very odd place. Details: Salad was actually warm? I should have sent it back. I think the lettuce was sitting out. I left brown pieces on the plate. Bread came out on top of pre-packaged crackers from most likely previous customers...dirty. Again, I should have sent it back. I ordered a steak and it came out light gray and was square. Yeah, I should have sent it back and asked for the check. I travel the world and have never seen anything like the steak they served me. Very odd. Vegetables were soft and tasteless. Yuk. I would not suggest visiting this place to eat. Very disappointing. Suggestions: I give the place one star since the manager welcomed us and got me coffee very quickly. However, they never asked my son if he wanted a drink. They sort of ignored him. My words to the manager... Rebrand the restaurant, shrink the menu, specialize and make the selected food/menu high quality, retrain the staff to be pleasant and interested in customers or get new help. Hire a cook that cares about what he or she serves. Just trying to help. Unhappy customer. If you don't change, you will be out of business in less than a year. read more

BIG FAT 0 RATING!!! NOT SURE HOW THIS PLACE STAYS IN BUSINESS!!! My son had chicken parmesan and it looked like an oversized tv dinner (a tv dinner would've tasted better) and his chicken was burned. I had a gyro, fries and a cup of chicken soup...almost puked after eating. The gyro meat was greasy and like shoe leather. The fries were barely cooked and looked freezer burned. The chicken soup was a cup of disgusting little dumplings of some sort with chicken bouillon for broth and ONE small chunk of carrot. Didn't finish any of the food that was served because it was horrible!! The service was awful as well. This place will never see another penny from my family. read more

Sally is a delightful waitress who loves her job and Pete (the owner) will never let you see the bottom of your coffee mug. Weekend mornings are always busy with hungry patrons and they definitely have room to seat groups. Today was the second time I went to the Olympic and I am never going back. The service was terrible. From the time we came to the time we left. Our waitress never said hello, she threw our menus on the table (literally) and walked away. She than decided to come back 5 mins later to get our drinks. She never told us her name, she than walked past once more and through our silverware on the table. She than came back about 15 to 20 mins later to take our order. Once our food came my boyfriends order was screwed up and our food was cold. We saw our waitress one more time when she walked past and through the bill on our table never saying one word to us. On the advice of a friend we stopped for gyros. We got great advice. The gyros were huge, loaded with meat, plenty of onion and tasty tomato and very generous with the sauce. We needed a to go container for leftovers! The menu is enormous and the pricing is very reasonable. We both had gyros plates for $19. We'll eat here next time were in Point. read more

We ate lunch here. Ordered the chicken wraps. The wraps were burned. Nothing like a soft shell wrap at a normal restaurant. We asked for spinach instead of romaine lettuce. We got over cooked CAN spinach, not the normal fresh spinach leaves. Horrible Horrible Taste. We both were disgusted. I complained and the manager had the most rude attitude ever.
