Everyone in our five person party was delighted with their dishes and everybody got something different. The ambience also has a cool vibe, since it was a 1890s bank converted into a coffee and breakfast house. This was an excellent experience.

Stepping into Pinewood feels like time travel in the best possible way. The lake views, the dark…read morewood paneling, the white tablecloths, and that unmistakable scent of sizzling steaks and warm dinner rolls instantly set the tone. This is not trendy small-plates dining. This is classic American supper-club hospitality done right. We started with the relish tray (still a thing here, and gloriously so) and a pair of perfectly chilled old-fashioneds. The bread basket arrived warm, with soft rolls and that slightly sweet, slightly salty butter that somehow tastes better than it has any right to. For the main event I ordered the ribeye, medium-rare, with the classic baked potato. The steak arrived exactly as ordered--charred edges, deep pink center, seasoned with nothing more complicated than salt, pepper, and time on a hot grill. It was the kind of steak that makes you slow down and actually taste every bite. My partner's walleye was equally excellent: light, flaky, and finished with a simple lemon-butter sauce that didn't try to compete with the fish. Service struck the ideal balance--attentive without hovering, friendly without being overly familiar. Our server knew the menu cold, guided us through the wine list without pressure, and refilled water glasses before we noticed they were empty. The pace of the meal felt unhurried, the way a proper supper-club evening should. Dessert was a shared piece of the house chocolate layer cake, dense and not too sweet, with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that melted into the warm cake. We finished with coffee and sat a little longer than necessary, just enjoying the room and the quiet hum of conversation around us. What stands out most is how complete the experience felt. From the moment we walked in until the last sip of coffee, everything worked in harmony--food, service, atmosphere, and that intangible sense of occasion that good supper clubs still deliver. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit. Highly recommended for anyone who misses the days when dinner was an event rather than a transaction. You will not be disappointed

The staff were as friendly as they can be and made us feel like regulars, regardless of it being our first time in. We visited for a late breakfast with multiple kids (4 years and younger). The staff kept all the adults caffeinated and went above and beyond to make sure the kids had a great experience! (Ie, making sure they had drinks, plenty of napkins, and ever some cookies after they ate) The food was all very good! The table got a verity of options and all plates were left empty. You can really tell that this dinner puts in effort with their food. They even offered numerous HOMEMADE baked goods like breads, pies, cakes and cookies that's to their on-site baker. I will be returning to cozy kitchen in the future whenever I am in town visiting family. I highly recommend you visit if you're looking for someplace cozy to eat.

I thought all of the food looked good and the portions were big, but the service was not up to par. The table was missing lots of misc items that needed to be asked for. It took quite a while to get an order in. The food didn't take incredibly long to come out but again, service lacking. I didn't get my biscuit and gravy and eventually forgot about it while making sure my little ones got everything they had asked for. Food was just ok. I could see the look of regret on some faces at the table. Splitting the check up seemed too difficult so my poor mother asked that they just put it all on one and forget it. No refills came out had to ask for a last second refill on my coffee and slug it on the way out. Overall it was just ok and I probably wouldn't come back by choice.

From the moment you walk in, the bar sets the tone--dark wood, warm lighting, friendly bartenders who make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. Seriously, if I lived in Stevens Point, their bar would be my go-to day drinking hangout. I will note that they make a well made cocktail from their drink menu. Further, their brandy old fashioneds are perfect, and are sizeable. To start, the goat cheese bruschetta is a must‑order. Creamy, tangy goat cheese paired with perfectly toasted bread and a nice garlic topping. I don't even like goat cheese but, there were plenty good. For dinner, Michelle's has all the supper club with the surf and turf classics. The beer‑battered walleye is exactly what you'd hope for: crisp, flavorful, and somehow not greasy at all. If fish isn't your pick, the planked salmon with a sweet pecan topping to provide contrasting flavours and textures. All in all, Michelle's is everything you want from a Wisconsin supper club: welcoming vibes, great cocktails, knockout comfort food, and that timeless charm that keeps you coming back. They do lose a start because of service...it was so slow, and I don't quite understand why because there were a number of empty tables. The other curiosity that I would mention is that when we played the leftover salmon we left it on the plank. They asked for the plank bank to reuse? They're only good for a couple uses tops before the oils are gone...and that is not entirely sanitary...but that is just me perhaps. If you're in Stevens Point, hit this place up. It's worth it.
