Ambience - The whole vibe is of being in a giant warehouse. The entire building is completely open with no walls or partitions to separate anything. There are rows of fold out tables with that generic and cheap red & white checkered coverings. The chairs are those old metal foldout chairs that have been spray painted red to go with the color scheme. They also have a huge wall of the condiments they use and im really hoping the ones on the walls are empty and just for decor. They do have a nifty hand washing station that dispenses a cute like sticker that says "Yay! for being a normal and not disgusting human" LOL jk, it just says i washed my hands. Meh. The kitchen is open faced and so is the prep station, as you can see thru to the back and see the crew members prepping all the stuff. Kinda looks like a prison.... or a circus....or both. Anyways, the whole vibe is super simple and no flare with the hills has eyes.
Menu - The menu is very simple, you get 2 choices of the size of the patties, and then choose your toppings. Which include only ketchup, mayo, mustard, onion, pickle, lettuce, tomato. They do have a couple other add ons like bacon and jalapenos which is pretty standard. Then if you want some fried goodness your choices are onion rings or fries. Now they do have a very large selection of bottled beverages which is kinda cool as they are the old fashion style of bottles. They do also offer shakes but other than that, that is the whole menu. Nothing wrong with a simple menu as it means you stick to what you know. When ordering your food they mark everything on a white paper bag that serves as your order and food holding receptacle
Service - Service hear was really good. The cashier was very friendly and asked how my day was. We exchanged idle banter for bit and then i was on my way. As i observed the rest of the crew they all seemed to be in good spirits. I even saw who i am pretty sure was a manager, in the kitchen helping and joking around with the crew members. There was also quite a few food runners who all had big smiles. The girl that brought my food was polite and friendly. So for a place that has a bunch of teenagers making and running the food, it was really good service
Food - So the food comes to you in the bag that you colored on with the desires of your food. Doesnt matter if it is dine in or togo, it comes to you in a bag. Good way of saving money on dishes and labor for washing them. So i got 1/2 cheeseburger with all the toppings, since they were limited, it wouldnt be a giant mound of stuff. I also order an order of fries which only come in one size. So the fries are very interesting, they all are different sizes and shapes and textures of the potato. So you will get alot of little pieces and alot of dark brown pieces and everything in between. They are also very greasy and limp. They arent cooked to be crispy but cooked to just be edible. They did have a good taste to it thou which is surprising. I guess dont judge a book by the cover because they were actually good, despite looking like a pile of pathetic dead worms. The burger came to me perfectly assembled with all the stuff i wanted, i even ordered bacon for even more greasy goodness. So the burger was really good, nice and hot, very good meat to bun to condiment ratio. The bacon was cooked just right to which was surprising since i didnt know teenagers knew how to do that. The bacon had alot of flavor and good quality. The quality of the meat was good and the cheese wasnt overpowering either which was a nice change of pace. So the burger was good but nothing special and a little overpriced in some regards. If you want a decent burger, this place has an alright burger. The burger is on the smaller size like fast food places but i was full when i was done.
Overall - The breakdown goes likes, the burger is good but the value of the whole meal was not. Everything on the menu is ala carte, so the burger is $8.00+bacon $1.00, the fries $2.50 and the drink $2.00 which adds up to almost $14.00 after tax. The fries were ok, but the portion size is pretty small, so for $2.50 .....not so much. Plus the fries had an ok taste but they were just so whimpy and limp and greasy that i wasnt a fan really. The burger is ok as well, it is a little better than fast food but not not a whole $14.00 worth. There are alot of other places you can get monstrous or better quality burger and fries for the same price. So it is a quick fix if you want a burger, but the whole experience was just weird for me. The seating is uncomfortable, chairs are hard, creepy warehouse vibe, staring at the prep cooks thru windows while they work (dance monkey dance!) i dont know, for me it was just meh. Why pay for a weird experience when i can go somewhere that is more pleasant. Food is ok, ambience weird and seating is cold and hard read more
