I am very disappointed with the level of professionalism and responsibility shown by this company…read more Last week, I visited their showroom to look at doors and windows and spoke with the owner about the materials and installation process. We scheduled an appointment for Monday at 10:00 a.m. for him to come to my home to take measurements. After that, we planned to set another time to discuss the contract in detail. At 10:00 a.m. on Monday, the owner called to say he had something urgent to take care of and could not come, so we rescheduled for Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. However, on Tuesday, he never showed up--even after I waited until 5:00 p.m.He did not call, text, or provide any explanation for missing the appointment. This level of service is completely unacceptable. I strongly do not recommend this company due to their lack of responsibility and respect for customers' time.

Beware of This Company - Same Owner, Same Address, Same Scam…read more I strongly urge anyone considering using Mr. Glazier NYC for window or glass work to proceed with extreme caution. I own a brownstone and unfortunately had a terrible experience with this company. They required a deposit upfront and once the money was paid, communication essentially stopped. Calls went unanswered and the work was never completed. When I tried to follow up, I was told by the owner's wife that he was supposedly on his deathbed. Naturally, I tried to be understanding at the time. However, after doing further research, I discovered that the previous company operating under the same name and same address is now listed as "closed," while a new business with the same owner and same location has appeared under a different website. It appears to be the exact same operation simply rebranded. After speaking with other brownstone owners in my area, I also learned that I'm not the only one who has had this experience. Others have reported paying deposits and then being unable to get the work completed or get their money back. Because of this experience, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leaving reviews anywhere this business appears so other homeowners do not fall into the same situation.

Paid deposit - they cancelled twice and refused to refund…read more Absolutely unacceptable experience. Booked an urgent door repair, was told they could come the following day to fix it, paid deposit. They then told me it was against "company policy" so it needed to be rescheduled until the following week. They cancelled for the second time. My tenant was left with a broken, non-locking door in a non-doorman building NYC. Completely irresponsible. When I asked for a refund (which was initially approved), I proceeded to get the door fixed with someone else given the track record of unreliability. Their "communications" person was extremely rude and dismissive. She invented stories about a replacement door and wouldn't even accept my compromise to keep $80 for materials. Promised a callback the same day and ghosted me. Still no refund after multiple attempts of contact. What is really sad is that I actually was impressed by the work on their website. I wanted to use them to redo the french doors in my apartment. However, after the disgraceful experience I had with their "communications" person - talking over me, lying about a replacement door, flat out not being open to negotiate or find a mutually beneficial outcome, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Do not waste your money or time with Mr. Glazier. Zero accountability.

If you're considering hiring Iron Doors of New York, my advice is simple: don't. Stop. Go in a…read moredifferent direction. I hired Yianni and his company to fabricate and install two doors and one gate, and all 3 pieces has issues. The work was never completed as promised, and the lack of attention to detail is obvious. Yianni is rarely on site, and the crews he sends out shows up late, leaves early (11am to 3) and lack the skill and care required for professional door installation. The problems are numerous and undeniable: Door and gate strikes are misaligned Gate was not measured correctly therefore had to be cut on site to fit the opening. Trim is already coming loose and warping after only a few months. Caulking and sealing are sloppy and poorly executed. The trim cut along the arched door is crooked and uneven. Overall fit and finish looks unfinished and unprofessional. Arched door is extremely hard to close. These are not subjective complaints -- they are basic measurement and installation standards that any competent professional should meet without question. What's most frustrating is that Yianni personally came out, acknowledged the issues, proposed specific fixes, and assured me they would be addressed. They were not. The job remains unfinished despite repeated attempts to communicate (he will not answer his phone or return text messages) and 2k remaining on final payment... If you're looking for a contractor whose crew shows up late, leaves early, doesn't finish the job, and doesn't stand behind their work, this is the company for you. If you want a professional result that you won't regret every time you look at or try to close your doors, do yourself a favor and hire someone else.

1/5 - Extremely poor quality and zero responsibility…read more I bought four interior doors about four years ago, and less than one month after installation they started swelling and breaking apart. This is not normal wear and tear -- it is clearly a defect caused by cheap materials and poor workmanship. I contacted Rosa immediately, multiple times, asking for help and a solution. I was completely ignored. No support, no inspection, no replacement, no accountability. Customer service was non-existent. Today, 2 out of the 4 doors are completely destroyed, despite being used in a normal indoor environment. Doors should last decades, not fail after a few weeks. This company sells low-quality products and then disappears when problems arise. Very unprofessional, very disappointing, and a waste of money. I strongly advise against buying anything from them.
