I used to come here religiously when I was in undergrad (5ys ago). But after I returned atlanta post grad-school, my nail tech has left. However, today I found my new fav nail lady--Halina. She's so patient, understanding, and does nails with precision. Love love her shapes. She will be my new go to :) Acrylic fill in + tips (no polish just dipping powder)= 60$. Really reasonable price I think.

I went in for a pedicure with a friend and the entire appointment was rushed. She put the polish on so fast it didn't have time to dry and was goopy, and it got messed up as soon as I got up to walk to the nail dryer station. Of coShe cut all my toenails rounded off at the corners and didn't even use nail clippers to do it--she used the cuticle cutters. One spot on my toe started bleeding because she cut so far down. I also have the start of 3 in-grown toenails now because she rounded out the edges so much and cut so far down. I could have done a better job with a nail file. So disappointed I paid so much for a shitty pedicure. She was more concerned with getting the service over with than with the quality of the work. I work in the service industry and I'm happy to spend good money on a quality service with a great tip. This was a bad experience all around.

I booked a gel manicure via ClassPass. It was quick , neat and pretty. I only waited for 2ish minutes to be seated. I needed my nail painted for Christmas as I am breaking from acrylic nails.

December 2023 S U M M A R Y Filthy. I can't understand why this place is so popular other than it's convenient location and fast service. N A I L S The guy who did my nails, Stephen, did them really well or so I thought. They were thick and seemed strong but a simple leg slap during a laugh a few days later left my pinky broken and bleeding. Another nail broke soon after. I came in to just get them taken off because they wanted to charge me for a new set after just a few days. Then I requested a take off with manicure and they tried to upcharge me again when the manicure was never given. My nails looked horrible upon leaving but I was just happy to have the acrylic off. (No extensions) When getting a pedicure, which was actually good and left my feet soft, the nail artist cut me twice. And pretended like he didn't see it bleeding lol. No bandaid offered. The toes looked nice afterwards and there was a place to sit while they dry or use the fast drying spray. S E R V I C E The manager? Owner? Who is always parked at the front is rude and argumentative. He refused to accept that my nails broke within days of getting them done and didn't want to fix them. Also, When I attempted to take pictures for Yelp he made a big deal of it. A M B I E N C E I initially came here because my cousin told me it was her favorite spot in the city. I was shocked when I sat down. The place was filthy. Nail clippings, empty drink bottles, lollipop sticks, etc. It is CLEAR they DO NOT clean between clients, not even a wipe down. I saw that much with my own eyes. So why did I continue to get my nails done? Desperation as one of my nails were broken and seriously hurting. Well baby this is a long way from Peachtree Corners where I usually get my nails done. Give me the Boujee options please! P R I C E They have a price list that they don't always follow, per usual. R A T I N G 3 stars off because the place needs a deep cleaning, my nails broke soon after getting them done and the owner is rude.

Literally never knew about this place before some friends wanted to get their nails done. This location is located on the second level of the same plaza that has TJ Maxx and Whole Foods right across from Ponce. I never noticed it at all. They share parking with the many stores in the plaza, so parking was hard to come by on a Saturday afternoon but manageable. I did like how their website gives prices so you aren't blindsided like at other places. I was greeted immediately when I walked in and you're asked to sign-in on their device. Pretty simple entering your phone number to be added to their reward system (for frequent goers) and selecting what service you wanted. I liked this a lot so everyone knew what I wanted. I wanted a gel manicure and I was then shown where to select gel polishes from. There are a lottt of options, but I usually get the same colors and know the names vs some obscure number given by that salon. I was able to tell them the names and that was rather easy. My gel manicure took literally less than 30 mins by the time I was seated. They were super quick. Quality for me was rather okay. The color was done well, but the details were lacking. All nail salons push back cuticles to ensure they don't paint over them. This salon pushed mine back, but didn't paint close enough to the cuticle for me at least. Leaving the salon, it looks like my nails were done a week ago as the nails look grown out. Also, they shaped them poorly and I had rather sharp portions of my nail compared to a nice rounded shape. I had to come home and fix this myself. The gel manicure was $32 and with tip, I ended up spending $39. Alright, but I'm still looking for another place.

Second time I go with TERRIBLE results and rude staff who asked me to "stop complaining" when I pointed out a flaw while she was working. The reason I went a second time was to give it a chance maybe with another tech. But no, not going back.

    what I wanted:

Went to get a manicure today for my birthday. The manicure started off fine, the nail stylist was trying to find a better color match to the color I wanted (my match wasn't close enough), and just being helpful. So at the start of the manicure, I was thinking that the effort to get me what I wanted was so sweet. (Spoiler alert: the color did not at all match what I wanted. I wanted a magenta and ended up with a wine red but I would have forgiven that. Nail colors can be tricky.) Then things went... bad. About halfway through the manicure, I was asked if I liked the shape of my nails. I responded by requesting that my nails be made thinner because they were way too thick (and I know we've all been there- thick nails are clunky and ugly). Immediately, I could tell my nail tech wasn't pleased. She tried to tell me that they were fine, not too thick, but I insisted- I wanted them thinner. So she starts thinning them, and what had been a pleasant, careful manicure suddenly turns rough as heck. I mean, my hands were going throoooooough it. I just don't think that's a coincidence!!!! Like okay, don't take out your frustration on my hands, please, I need those! And then, as she's absolutely wrecking the skin around my nails, she tells me that next time, if I want thin nails, I need to ask up front for thin nails. First of all- wtf? Second of all- I didn't want thin nails. I wanted not fat as hell nails. Shouldn't be a big request to want normal nails, but OKAY. I wasn't going to argue with this lady so I just got through the rest of the appointment as quickly as possible. Anyway. Don't go here. Prices might be good, but the quality of your nails is... not. I'm already planning on going somewhere else to get these fixed. And the service just... stinks. I was shut down as soon as I said what I wanted, and then my manicure got rough (the skin around my nails is literally burning even now, almost an hour later). And after all that, I still ended up with nails I don't like. Update: the more I sit here and look at my nails, the more irritated I get. They don't go all the way down on the sides, my thumbs are drastically uneven (which I pointed out at the time), and I swear to god there's so much god damn color on my hands. I'm adding pictures of what I asked for vs what I got.

I went at 11 am on a Friday and got seated right away! It is definitely busier in the afternoons, so if you can, go early! i had Phillip who was awesome! he was super meticulous & thorough! i got my SNS taken off & then a gel manicure. the total cost was $35 which is definitely the cheapest i've seen in the city. i would love to come back & have Phillip again.

Had a shoot I arrived early for, earlier today so I went to Midtown Nails in Atlanta for an absolute last min mani pedi ... I arrived at 2:38 I took this at 2:44 I was back in the car with bae at 2:59. I did have a bubble on my thumb that's now a bit of an eyesore of a chip but with the amazing speedy service, I'll surely be returning asap. Especially with more time.

Sns almond pointy nails with gel toes. My go to spot to get nails done here in town
    Jessica G.

I never make an appointment and usually can be seated fairly quickly. Most of the technicians do a great job obviously it varies slightly per person but they definitely listen to what you want and make you comfortable. I've done gel, S&S and tips and been going here a few months and haven't had any problems. The girls are very sweet, the chairs are comfortable and work properly, only thing I would say would be a nice addition is to have pillows for under your arm when they work on the one that is not closest to them. One thing to remember is that they do not except tips on your credit card so you must get cash before hand to tip properly. There is a Wells Fargo ATM downstairs and they do have a ATM with a fee in the salon.

Holographic gel on acrylics, coffin shaped

My first visit here was wonderful. I initially tried to make an appointment online, but never received a confirmation notice. I decided to go in anyways and so a walk-in. It was a Tuesday around 2pm and they were able to get me started right away. Which is always a plus . I requested holographic nails on an acrylic set, which was vaguely listed on their website, but turned out to be exactly what I wanted. They had many pretty gel color but I opted for a classic silver holo shade. My nail tech Halina was amazing and he attention to detail was stellar. She put a lot of time and effort into the shaping and sanding of my acrylics so shapes turned out near perfect. She was very sweet and made sure i was okay when the sander caught some of my nail bed skin. I also have clammy hands like 24/7 which I am a bit self-conscious about but she made me feel better and even turned on some fans near the seat for me. What I got: A full set acrylic, with holographic gel in a silver color (named something like Stellar Stars) in a coffin shape. Charged $45 for this set.

Found them on Google, called ahead, and was told to come in at 3 for SNS. I arrived at 3:10 on a Sunday to a nearly empty salon, which was surprising for a weekend. The front desk lady asked what I wanted and called across the salon to a young man who was working on nail decals solo. He visibly did not want to stop what he was doing. With only two people in the shop, someone had to help me, and that fell on him. While he finished up, the front desk lady was actually sweet about the service. She brought over colors and even suggested a fun option: a clear SNS base with gel polish on top for a jelly color effect. I loved the idea and agreed. When he was ready, he held his hands out without a word and got to work. No greeting, no conversation. He soaked my nails in what I can only describe as boiling water before filing everything off, which was genuinely painful. When I mentioned the jelly color technique the lady suggested, he said it wasn't possible, started doing my nails anyway, and never explained further. The paint job was rough. It looked like I did it myself with my non dominant hand. The whole service felt rushed despite the salon being practically empty, which made it more frustrating given that I called ahead specifically to be considerate of their time. Five days later my nails are destroyed. The SNS has cracked on most fingers and taken chunks of my actual nails with it. The gel polish is flaking off. Press ons would have held up better. Would not recommend for walk ins. If you go, make sure you have a dedicated nail tech you trust.

I also recommend they do a better job of describing their services on the website. I couldn't really tell what the differences were in the level of service provided for each pedicure. Overall, what I thought would cost me about $90 based on the pricing on the website, I actually ended up paying $130 for. I would give them another chance because the salon is walking distance from my apartment, so it's convenient for me, but I will be asking how much every single thing they do costs before I say yes and making sure I like what they're doing before I let them continue the service.
