I am surprised by all the high ratings, given the salon's poor hygiene protocols. Nowadays, salons do not share files between clients, and that includes e-file bits! There was no alcohol spray or LED sterilization machine in sight, dusty towels... the place needs a deep clean from the light fixtures down. The staff was lovely, and my nails do look good, but they feel hot and too tightly adhered to my cuticle area, I got a gel-x Mani and pedi walk in

Horrible experience here today. I was a walk-in customer and wanted a set that was basic but unique - a subtle French with metal points. I fear the nail tech I had was not up to the task, but didn't want to admit it. So I sat through an hour and a half of her trial and error. I finally told her to just give me a French tip because I couldn't take anymore disappointment. I should've asked for a manager then, but at some point I thought she would figure it out - I have several friends who frequent this salon. She didn't, I left. But I came back to show the front desk manager or receptionist what I asked for verses what I got. He told me they could fix it, so I called back after I left and let them know I'd return in the evening, after work. I sat in rush hour traffic to come back there, all to be told all they were willing to add were the metal balls, but that they would fall off. I told him what I asked for looks nothing like what I received and they decided they wanted to go back and forth. Usually I'm game but this was super disappointing and defeating. I'd already had a long day so I walked out. Will never return and would not recommend. I'm mostly outraged at them ASKING me to come back to fix it all to waste my time, energy, and gas.

I wanted to wait to review until I was sure this was my new place. For Halloween Loui helped me find a really cool iridescent chrome. Sooooo many people asked me about my nails. Loui is the guy! Do u like a kind person that won't talk too much AND does ur nails perfectly every time? Go see him! Pro-tip -- I bring pictures if I want something specific.

I showed the tech the most beautiful picture of the dark green nails I wanted, and what I got could not be father from the picture. They are light green, the SNS is not smooth, he did a gel topcoat on one hand and regular topcoat on the other, my nails are crooked (and no it's not my fingers). the parking is a disaster and I'm super disappointed. if I ever go back it will be tdy to get my nails fixed!

If I was a white woman this would've never happened! This establishment is racist and unfairly charge black clientele beware! I was charge 70 DOLLARS FOR A POLISH CHANGE AND NAIL REPAIR! ! Does this look like an 80 dollar polish change to you?!? I asked for French tip polish change on my nails and feet. 1 NAIL REPAIR ! THEY CHARGED ME 80 bucks when I spoke with them they changed it 69! They charged me 25 dollars for a French tip 27 for a top coat for my French tip! And 10 dollars to ONE nail. (Reasonable) 7 for glitter! (Reasonable as well) The 27 SHOULDVE BEEN TAKEN OFF! The 27 should've been included in the French tip fee! Instead they wanted to charge me 52 for a French tip with NO ACRYLIC, no manicure, JUST POLISH! Take that information as you will! Even on the website the gel French tip manicure is 41 dollars yet I'm paying 52!

The debate is 1 or 2 stars...The salon is definitely not what you see is what you get, when you first walk in it look amazing, and the staff seems friendly. However once you're ready to pay all of a sudden there's all of these hidden fees and additions that they don't even know what they are. $6 here and there after every service?? On top of the fact that I personally got an acrylic pedicure... and it took 3 different service providers to do my pedicure.. so each one of them had a different price and a different tax... so one has to file one has to shape and one has to paint??? My boyfriend also got a pedicure. A basic pedicure and a basic manicure, no gel or anything. So how did that come out to $187?? I'm not cheap I really don't care about the money because their prices are their prices, if they think that's what they're worth so be it. What I DO care about is the fact that they charge these prices and aren't sanitary, I have gotten acrylic toes consecutively for the past 8 years and have NEVER had a fungus problem. I came to this shop ONE time and went to a new tech after and my toes were covered in fungus, that happens when shops either work on an infected person and "clean" the tools and work on another client. Those tools need to be terminated. Or when they work on client after liner without properly sanitizing the tools, I.e clipping a client and making them bleed and using those same tools on another client. I spoke with the owner Tony and he told me it's because of the moisture in my shoes because of the summer... I have gotten acrylic toes again; religiously for YEARS and have gotten removals and new sets and have never had this happen before. Not to mention the work of my toes were mediocre they were bulky and crooked. I am unable to get any work done on my toes for months because of this shop. It takes 3-12 months for this to clear and NOW it's the summer. I got these done in MARCH which we all remember the hail storms and the rain it was not hot. This was the first shop I've been to since moving to Atlanta and I will say I will not be returning and I'm completely dissatisfied and just overall upset that my boyfriend payed for a fungal infection.

This used to be one of my favorite nail salons, but unfortunately the service and overall experience have gone downhill. My boyfriend and I continued coming here even after my regular nail tech moved away, and I've also brought my 3-year-old daughter with me. We actually stopped coming for a few months because the wait times had become so long, but decided to give them another chance after being told we would be seated immediately. We still ended up being there until around 9 PM. This visit was especially frustrating because I asked for specific services and instead of simply doing what I requested, I kept being given alternatives and opinions. The receptionist also told me it wasn't a good idea to get my daughter's nails done and said it was basically a waste of money because she would mess them up. She has been getting her nails done for about a year, so I already know what she can handle. I'm also fully aware of how I choose to spend my money. For this visit, I spent $175 total for myself and my daughter. Her nails were $23 and her pedicure was another $23. My own services included a $65 gel builder set, a $15 "deep French" charge, a $43 pedicure, $19 gel polish, and an additional $10 charge. What was labeled as "deep French" also looked like a regular French tip to me, so that added to my frustration with the pricing. At the end of the day, if a customer is asking for a service that you offer and is willing to pay for it, there shouldn't be so much pushback or unsolicited commentary. Between the long wait times, the customer service, and the overall experience, I don't see myself returning. read more

This was great and so easy. I was a walk-in, wanted Gel X and a pedicure they took me right away. The salon was nice, quiet and good music. I'm satisfied. I'm also glad they didn't pull out the cheese grater looking tool or chop up my cuticles. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because, she pulled off one of the nails because it didn't fit to her liking, and while I'm glad she wanted to make sure the outcome looked how she wanted, I am nervous that my nail might be damaged once this comes off. It was quite a tug and the nail bed didn't look great to me after. I'm nervous in general because of the filing. I don't typically get my nails done because they usually peel, no matter what method we use to soak them off.. but I'll wait and give it a fair shot to see how my nails respond after this set. I'd come back. read more

My favorite nail salon by far. They do a great job on my nails (usually SNS), keeping them healthy and looking great. The salon is clean and bright. I've been a regular for a couple of years and won't go anywhere else. The milk and honey pedicure is wonderful. read more

We stopped by about 7 pm and were able to get service right away. There wasn't much pleasantries and the staff went to work. I was done pretty quickly for a pedicure. No callus removed or even attempt to buff my feet. The reason for my rating is that the technician trimmed my cuticles and basically pulled the skin really hard so that it broke my skin. I felt every toe when he applied the alcohol and later that night both big toes started bleeding. The other reason is that when I got up to put my shoes back on, there was old used tips all over the floor from a prior customer. In terms of paint job they seem well done and are doing fine after a few days. read more

A little rude but very good service. I came in for a full set and pedicure. Con did my nails and HE DID THEM PERFECTLY. He gave me exactly what I asked for then quickly kicked me out lol. I came in at 1pm. I was in my car by 2:15 with a perfect full set and pedicure. Def coming again just for him. I'm so happy with how everything turned out. I love gel x and found this salon online because they have it listed in their services. Tried them for the first time today and loved it! I didn't get the nail tech's name but she did a beautiful job on my french tips. Pretty quick, too! It was very clean and spacious inside and there is a parking garage with free parking nearby. Wow! What an amazing experience. This was my second time here and what I really wanted to give it a full two rounds before writing a review. Well here it is. Location is easy to get to. You can park in the sprouts parking deck as it's designed for all the stores on the strip so there is ample parking. I've been greeted both times when I arrived and treated the same. I mean service and atmosphere was the same - very spa and pampering like ! They have great color selections of regular, gel, and sns nails. I absolutely loved my nails. Casey did my nails perfect and Eugenia did my feet perfect. So happy with the results and color selections. read more

I went here for a pedicure after going across the street first and experiencing bad customer service. I was in a rush so i only had time to get a pedicure however when i walked in i was greeted by a friendly greeting which drew me in immediately. The pedicure i got was really nice and they did a good job shaping my toes, massaging and painting them. I am really picky on pedicures because a lot of places rush and don't shape them right. However here they took their time and listened to what i wanted and did just that. I will be back again to see how they do nails. I also liked the fact that this place was clean and sanitary and you get points each time you go for a discount off after enough points. I appreciate shops that show customer appreciation so that was a plus for me. read more

this was my favorite nail salon for over 3 years until recently. I still gave 3 starts bc ken is the best nail tech ever fast asf, amazing hand-painted designs, and creative) , but overall the nail salon has some issues. i scheduled a nearly morning apt that did not happen to due to them not opening promptly on the first Monday they offered to be open. then rescheduled for later that night. I then arrived to my night apt on time just to wait an additional 30 minutes not be allowed to soak my feet in water (service was a polish change) unless i paid an additional $5. This was frustrating and I did not appreciate how I was treated after being a loyal client/customer of this nail salon for so long. Overall, I will be returning for Ken ONLY, but I think the way management addresses issues and accommodations could be improved. read more

Came here last week with my best friend to get our nails done. They took all the proper Covid-19 precautions.. the techs all wore face masks/gloves, had us wash our hands as soon as we arrived, and told us over the phone while scheduling to wear masks ourselves too (they sell them for $2 if you don't have any.) Tiffany, the front desk girl, was very clear on the phone and even helped me find my shade without me feeling rushed. Super friendly. They have a great color selection. Regular, SNS, Gel in popular brands like DNS, OPI and some others. I got a Gel mani and regular pedi [Price was $60] using OPI brand polish in the shade "I Am What I Amethyst". My nail tech was the asian young male, (don't remember his name but I know it wasn't the owner). He was great! Took his time and was good with the details. Didn't talk much but honestly I prefer that. Only issue I had was that he went too deep on one of my cuticles and it was non-stop bleeding the whole time. Had to rub it with alcohol a couple times with heavy pressure which burned like crazy but eventually it calmed down. Honestly why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5. Wouldn't say it was his fault necessarily but I did see a lot of reviews saying people got cut and bled often here. Make what you want from that, but i would still go to him again honestly. The salon itself is pretty big, I think there's like 20 pedi stations and 15 mani stations. It's modernly decorated, and clean. Return? Yes, but too bad I don't live in GA. Recommend? Tina and amy were so bomb! I live in Midtown and just drove 7 mins out to where they are located which was awesome because the other shops near me are not as great as Morningside Nail Bar. I am so happy I found them cause they did such a greay job on my nails and were so patient with me. They took criticism well and fixed things I wanted them to without giving me an attitude like I have received before at previous places. Despite the good reviews do NOT come here. Unless you plan on calling ahead to make a reservation and then wait for over an hour...Not only did my friend and I wait forever I told multiple nail techs that I wanted to remove my SNS and then put a protective clear coat on top (even showing a photo). Only after an hour was I given the nail polish remover to then wait an additional 30 minutes before anyone checked in to see if I was still being helped. At that point I was told someone would be with me in a few mins (we all know what that means). Despite not receiving any service I was still charged $10 to remove my polish. read more

I picked the second tier package, which was supposed to come with a nine minute foot massage as they specifically stated the time. My foot massage lasted just over five minutes total. It was supposed to be $55, but when I went to pay, I was charged $70 and when I asked why it was that much they told me it was a $15 up charge for gel. They didn't even give me any other option. I live in San Diego and I get pedicures every month and this is more expensive than the pedicures I get there. I would not return to this place.

When he was ready, he held his hands out without a word and got to work. No greeting, no conversation. He soaked my nails in what I can only describe as boiling water before filing everything off, which was genuinely painful. When I mentioned the jelly color technique the lady suggested, he said it wasn't possible, started doing my nails anyway, and never explained further. The paint job was rough. It looked like I did it myself with my non dominant hand. The whole service felt rushed despite the salon being practically empty, which made it more frustrating given that I called ahead specifically to be considerate of their time. Five days later my nails are destroyed. The SNS has cracked on most fingers and taken chunks of my actual nails with it. The gel polish is flaking off. Press ons would have held up better. Would not recommend for walk ins. If you go, make sure you have a dedicated nail tech you trust.

I'm so grateful to Hailey for recommending the Gel Builder and treatment during my first visit -- it's truly been a game-changer for my nails! She is incredibly precise and passionate about her craft, and you can tell she genuinely cares about the work she does. I'm pretty simple when it comes to nails -- I just want something natural -- but the time and care Hailey puts into each set is admirable. I started my nail journey in April, originally just popping in for a quick set for Easter weekend. I didn't know exactly what I wanted, and Hailey suggested Gel Builder to help strengthen my thin nails that usually break before they grow out. I've tried SNS and gel polish before, but they never lasted more than a week. To my surprise, my Gel Builder set lasted a whole month! I returned in May, and now again in June for my third set -- and both Hailey and I are amazed at how strong and long my nails have become. I never thought I was a "long nail girlie," but thanks to Hailey's care and precision, I'm all in and plan to keep coming back for as long as possible. Shoutout to Tim as well -- he does my pedicures and is always a joy to chat with. My toes come out perfect every time, and the shape is always clean and consistent. I've been going to Sugarcoat Midtown due to how close it is to me, but it feels more impersonal. I connected with Linsey due to a friend's referral in a Facebook Group and she was more than happy to add me to her calendar. Though this is more than a walk, it is still only a short drive from Midtown so not an issue. I used rideshare to get here this time due to my car being dangerous to drive, and it was still easily accessible. There's a road leading to the validated parking area that the rideshare drivers can pick you up and drop you off, since the road in front of the salon is a busy main road. I thought the offer of drinks was wonderful, and I accepted a mini water bottle. Linsey was super patient with me, as I requested her to make my tips shorter after we had finished filing. She was going fast, but I'm so impressed with the results. She even made it to her next appointment without being behind! We chose the four green colors for my set quite quickly as well, but I'm so glad with how they turned out. Hopefully these last long! I'll definitely be back, because I can see how happy Linsey's other clients are. It's nice to have a nail tech who you feel comfortable with!

After two hours my manicure was complete but had to be redone because the color was marbled. I was told this is how this polish looks - well it did not look like that on the sample, if it did, I would not have chosen it. They redipped my nails, put on a topcoat and sent me out the door. My nails are rough, not smooth, not shiny and look TERRIBLE. They offered to repaint again but after two hours out of my day, I did not have one more second of time to give them. I also did not have the confidence it would be done correctly the third time. Small discount given when the service should have been free. Tony you just lost a good customer.
