After going to Tony's for four years, my last two manicures have been horrible. Old nail polish and incorrect color matches on the nails displaying your color choice. After two hours my manicure was complete but had to be redone because the color was marbled. I was told this is how this polish looks - well it did not look like that on the sample, if it did, I would not have chosen it. They redipped my nails, put on a topcoat and sent me out the door. My nails are rough, not smooth, not shiny and look TERRIBLE. They offered to repaint again but after two hours out of my day, I did not have one more second of time to give them. I also did not have the confidence it would be done correctly the third time. Small discount given when the service should have been free. Tony you just lost a good customer. read more

My only complaints are that while they were cleaning my cuticles and filing my nails it seemed like they were rushing a bit and I got a couple of cuts right under my nails and at my nail bed which stung for a few days-- in addition to the fact that they chipped after a few days :( However, nails themselves came out really nicely for a good price read more

Stopped in on a whim for a wax and was not disappointed. This shop is located to the right of Kroger next to the book store in toco hills. I've never been in before and it's a bit nondescript. However, the interior is really nice and clean and the prices are great! Waxed start at $5 and gel manicure starts at $25(French is $30) good deals for Atlanta. I found this nail salon out of the blue because I needed to get my nails done before the weekend. I walked in and who I can only assume was Tony was on the phone. It seems pretty important so I patiently waited and he was kind enough to point me in the direction of the price list which I was looking for. When he got off the phone he greeted me so kindly and I let him know that I wanted a gel pedicure and SNS manicure with extensions. I don't really have to go into every detail of my visit but the pleasure of my experience was in the details. Tony and both women who assisted him were so sweet, so kind and they're warmth felt genuine. The experience was almost euphoric! Like I was walking on clouds, and getting my nails done while sweet angels caress my hands and feet. I don't know if anyone else has ever been to a salon where the workers are moving so fast and jerking your hands and feet around. I hate that. This was literally the opposite. I almost fell asleep like five times. If it weren't for them needing my hands every so often I probably would've passed out in that massage chair. (I would also like to note I was running on two hours of sleep and had a very long day. It was around 7 PM at this point... I could've been slightly delirious). Either way due to my tiredness my experience could've been bad because I would've had an attitude. I have been coming here regularly twice a month for over a year for pedicures, the shop is clean and I never wait long, it is fairly priced, plus it's close to home. HOWEVER, almost always I get home and notice how sloppy the pedicure really is, and this time is just the last straw for me, the second coat is completely visible and sloppy (see photos), I just don't see the point in continuing coming back and being disappointed when there are so many shops to choose from, total bummer! read more

Service is excellent- their prices are clearly marked & they don't pressure you into getting services I didn't want. They do the shellac manicures which are excellent! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! This place is HORRIBLE do not waste your time or money. I went in on my day off with my sister who was visiting in town.. we walked in and I thought the place would be nice (solely based on the interior design and the front desk person who seemed nice) I needed a mani-pedi BAD. Id stayed at home for a few months and went to work occasionally but never seen the opportunity to get that done. I'm able to maintain my nails but I dont really bother with my feet except for clipping. They asked me to pick the color but didn't specify which colors to choose from. I kept choosing colors they would say aren't gel until I got down to a small selection and chose from there. I sat down in the chair and the water was already prepared. It was hot. I didn't mind the temperature when she asked me if it was too hot. I was hoping that would help the pedicure move along lol. When the lady took my foot from the water she asked me if it was gel, I said no, I would never get gel on my toes and never have. But the white nail polish I chose had several layers, two coats of glitter nail polish and a heavy layer of clear on top. She started to remove it and kept saying it was gel. I could tell she didn't wanna spend the time removing my nail polish. But I also didn't want that Dremel tool anywhere near my toes. She kept arguing with me about the nail polish but also continued with the first toe. The glitter had come off. At this point she asked her coworkers and they continued to say it was gel. I knew it wasn't. After I few times of this I decided it wasn't worth the attention I was getting from the 2 other people in the place. She used the Dremel tool. The rest of the pedicure was TRASH. I've performed better pedicures on myself. She had no skill. She did everything out of order, filing first then trimming it was weird. Honestly I'll skip the details because you'd be reading quite some time. The whole thing was terrible. She was an older women so you'd think she'd have some kind of experience. But it honestly seemed like she either didn't give a fuck about doing it correctly or she had just started this job with no training.. All the while I'm getting my left arm torn off my the guy doing my manicure. He was careless and sloppy as well. The manicure was terrible. There was no water. He barely trimmed the cuticle, the cleanup was sloppy the nails weren't symmetrical, even or in anyway shaped. During the process of applying the nail polished he got annoyed with how un-relaxed I was and tugged my arm a bit too aggressively, as well as tapping me on the top of my hand so hard Im still feeling while typing this on my phone nearly 30 min after it happened, no joke. The entire experience was the worst I've had in my whole life! (BTW I'm typing this as the women is finishing up my pedicure, she's about to apply the nail polish wish me luck. I'll post pictures. My sister also decided to get a pedicure, the lady who did hers was very nice. Wonder what I did wrong? Have too thick of a nail polish?) Addition: After the lady applied the nail polish she removed the towel from under my feet very aggressively. Then disappeared disappeared like 10 minutes. Came back and kept say something about being dry I didn't understand that she wanted me to go to the dryer she kept mubling things and saying them in a way I couldn't understand, although I was able to understand her just fine earlier. She threw my shoes down next to the dryer. I sat down. She came up to me saying "Can you pay now?!" In a really loud rude tone. I said "No. I'm gonna wait for my sister to get done first." She literally stomped off, said something in her language to someone else in the place. I'm very displeased. I will not be leaving any sort of tip. I've been going to Tony's nails since I was a student! I always come back. I went in yesterday for an acrylic full set and while I noticed that the prices have gone up, you still get great value for your money. In the past I've gotten pedicures and they've been divine. Their COVID-19 protocols are alright--the staff wears masks. However, I did notice that a couple of clients did not wear masks, which might bother some folks. I have been to each and every nail salon in the Toco Hills and around it! This is the worst of all! I had a classic mani and padi, and it was a joke! There was no scrub used on my legs she hardly put lotion and barely massaged it; actually just rubbed in the lotion (same with arm just rubbing the lotion in). Painting the nails is another story, super immature like when a little girl paint your nails for fun.. the color was allll over the place and she kept blaming me that I was moving, when I said I'm not she started blaming the brush of the nail polish being big (because it was a nail polish that I brought!). The manicure was done so quickly and sloppily. The woman who worked on me was not friendly at all and acted like she just wanted to get it over with as fast as she could. I stopped in for a fill-in today because I couldn't find a parking space next to Top Nails. But I'm glad I did! I got Ashley who speaks English (big plus) and who scolded me for my last fill-in not being done correctly. She took three of the nails off because she didn't like the way they had been put on, but only charged me for one. I happily watched CNN on the plasma TV while the nail technician hacked at my runner's/cyclist's/hiker's/walk-commuter's feet and the nubs of the massage chair firmly pressed into my back and neck. I appreciate that the folks at Tony's always work promptly (as wonderful as the experience is, I prefer to keep my pedis to approximately thirty minutes) and sense through my demeanor that I am not one for making small talk in this setting. I walked into this place based on the good reviews, but walked out and made a side trip to the nearby Publix for some Neosporin. Now for the bad, the woman seriously rubbed all the skin off of the cuticle area. I mean, straight up raw, skin no more. That buffer must have has the same strength as an industrial sander, because I have never experienced this in any other pedicure place. I went in earlier today as a last minute ditch being that i was in the neighborhood and i needed to fix two nails . They weren't really busy and holly was quick to serv me. I have had sns nails for a month and I was on the verge of getting them completely soaked off and going back to gel nails. Holly saw my nails and was quick to take them off and reapply them for 10 dollars less than what I would pay in my neighborhood for a fill in. I love the color and they really truly look like my natural nails. I did feel a little rushed, and (and this is super, duper minor), I didn't get the fancy pants massage chair treatment. They did my fingers at the same time they did my toes. The weird part was the ladies were busy talking and didn't ask me to pay and then started painting my nails. I stopped her and suggested that I pay so that I didn't have to digging through my purse with wet nails. But my nails ended up a little lumpy because she'd already applied the base coat. The pedicure was amazing. I've had pedicures at all the Buckhead salons and it doesn't compare to the Royal pedicure here. They took my monster feet and made them human again. The foot massage was actually relaxing too! I find sometimes that manicurists are more tough than actually using reflexology. My foot massage though was the bomb.com. I hit the pedicure jackpot this evening! This was my first visit to Tony's and definitely will NOT be my last. I recently moved to this area of town from Buckhead. It had better or equal reviews than most of the other spots nearby, so I took a gamble. I went for the ultimate #4 pedicure package - cuticle trim, callous remover, sugar exfoliating scrub, moisturizer, hot towels, hot stone massage, and polish. My tech told me that her name was "young" Tina and pointed to a slightly older woman who she said was "old" Tina. I laughed and asked if "old" Tina knew she was called "old" Tina. Anyway, "young" Tina spent a long time with me - at least 90 minutes. She did an extended sugar exfoliation and the dreamy hot stone massage went on for at least 30 minutes. I counted and she went through eight hot stones -- on EACH leg! I've paid $25 more (not including the tip) for this same deluxe package at nail salons in Buckhead, but NEVER had this level of service. She did a great job with the polish, too. Needless to say, I left "young" Tina a very nice tip. It was a Wednesday evening, and there seemed to be several regulars in there getting their nails done. I think Tony himself was doing a manicure on the lady getting the mani/pedi next to me. The place is very clean, and was very low key (but it was Wednesday evening). They remove SNS quite roughly (used pliers to manually remove instead of using a polish remover solution like acetone). It left my nails with indented grooves where the polish was and some pieces remained behind (circled in picture). Also, the last time I came here they lied to me about the prices. They said if I got an additional service such as polish color change, the removal fee would be reduced from $10 to $5. At the register, they changed this to $8. In addition, the manicure I did receive was very patchy. It was a white polish and you could see through to my nail on some fingers. read more

The staff were very polite, and the pedicure itself was relaxing for the most part. The tech seemed pretty disinterested in my actual pedicure and it came across as half-assed. But it was still relaxing. However, I thought I noticed the tech using the base coat as a top coat as well. I decided to shrug it off, thinking it was just maybe similar bottle tops. The next day (24 hours later) I wore close toed shoes. The pedicure was already dry the night before. My big toes both smudged terribly, and several of my other toes looked off.
