TLDR: My favorite nail salon in ATL! 10/10 would recommend a visit here. More on the pricey side but the service, quality, and small gifts make it worth it! Nouvelle was voted 2024 Yelp Best Salon and I can see why! The ambiance of the nail salon is very classy. The workers are professional and enjoy having light conversations (if you're into that of course)! This is the first salon that my nails ALWAYS last 3-4 weeks and if there's any issue in the first week, they will fix it for you immediately! One thing I don't play about are nails and hair - I have had one too many bad experiences with taking a chance at a nail salon and then immediately regretting it. Today I went to visit Nouvelle on a girl date with my bestie at her personal recommendation and it did not disappoint! She's a regular but this was a first for me as I leave out of town and I'm so pleased with the service and the fresh set! Anna got my set together and An got my bestie together with twin precision. I've been going here for a while and the staff isn't great, there are only two people who can do nails and they aren't always the nicest. I complained about my nail shape after I asked for someone who knew how to do what I liked and was told I would get a discount the next time I came in.. I could not stay or return that same day however I did mention that the nail shape was too big for my nail and the lady proceeded to put it on anyway. Today I went back and got my nails redone expecting a deeper discount. The nails did come out nice so no complaint there .. however I got a pedicure and noticed my toes were burning.. I did mention this too the doing my pedicure and she was nice enough however ... my toes chipped right away and I later found out she cut my skin and it is still burning ... I am so saddened by experience here but I will start with the good. Cute salon. Smells like flowers not nail polish or fumes. Here's the bad. My husband got me a gift card for here and put a tip included. When I asked how much was on the card they told me amount minus the tip. I asked again... my hubby said he put more. I asked the staff ....are you sure? Yes. We are sure. Hubby said he would be back to clear it up so I said to the staff just do a pedicure. Then and only then was the amount cleared up. Why do I have to decline a service before you explain? I would have tipped over what he had left but now my experience sucked AND having the manager or whomever try to come over and talk rudely to me did not help. Do better. read more

I asked for a removal of my old nails and I was expecting a soak off removal as stated in my receipt, but instead the nail artist pop off each of my nails with a nail tip. I got two nails with art and that was $15! I also do not understand the charge for nail shape. Why is that not included in the process? While in Atlanta my nail broke and it was time to get them done. My go-to is dip powder and that's what I got here. This place is non-traditional I will say. Some things that I have seen here and never experienced before. For one there is a high chair/bar seating. So either the nail techs are standing up or in a high chair as well. Also, a white male did my nails. He was awesome. While soaking my old nails my Apple Watch band broke, and he assisted me in trying to fix it (I was able to do it after I left the shop). Also, the prices. I got this added service that included this thorough hand massage. It felt so good and worth it. What I would've paid in the DMV for this service, I paid only a fraction of that here. So if you live in the area I highly recommend this place and my nails still look good! read more

I've struggled to find a good nail place in ATL that is good and not super expensive. I really liked my first visit here. The salon is clean, cute, and not over crowded. You have to make an appointment, and you must wear a mask. I got a pedicure and SNS nails. The staff was very sweet. One of them convinced me to try French tip for my SNS. It took me about an hour and 15 minutes which was good timing. My nails look great! I spent $81 all together before the tip. I'll definitely be back here! read more

This place is not what it used to be--I've been coming here for months now and each time I'm more disappointed. I live very close by so it's convenient to come here but honestly it's not worth it anymore I will be taking my business down the street. Their prices are ridiculous. They charge for every little thing. You want shorter nails? $5 charge! I don't mind paying more if the work and service is great. However, it's not worth it at all. I tried being friendly with my regular nail tech but every time he seems cold and unfriendly towards me. My nails have been looking bubbly and bulky so I got them taken off by another tech. In the process of doing so I got cut by the tech doing them and also by the tech doing my pedicure! I get that accidents happen but the one from my pedicure was so bad my toe is still red days later. I would consider coming back if they had better customer service and less sloppy work but for now I'm exploring other options as there are a plethora of nail salons in the vicinity. Needed a quick and easy SNS manicure before a dinner event and found Nouvelle close by. I didn't have an appointment on a Thursday evening but I managed to walk in and get seated immediately after walking in. I wish I could remember my manicurist's name but I can't for the life of me. She was super nice and funny and did my nails beautifully but quickly. I told her I needed to be at dinner by a certain time and she rushed a little but not in a way that would compromise the integrity of my manicure! It's also refreshing to be able to speak with my manicurist, which I'm rarely able to. Also, I've recently been having trouble getting the square round shape that I'm used to and asking for, and she did the square round exactly how I like it! Fran did a superb job on my pedicure , she took her time and didn't rush the process , she put forth a 100% effort and as a result Viola! Fabulous Nails . My other nail tech Trish was just as friendly and sociable . She was very delicate with my gel polish mani , she kept me laughing and she made the overall experience worth while . The atmosphere of the shop was warming and inviting . I appreciate a clean modern and diverse facility always . I've never experienced such terrible service. I've been getting my nails done at this salon since moving to Atlanta, but this time was unacceptable. I paid $95 for a polygel manicure, yet they skipped the cuticle care included in the service--something that happens often. Prices seem to change every visit, likely to inflate tips and overcharge customers. While curing my nails, the technician demanded I remove my hand from the lamp with 20 seconds left, which could ruin the finish. When I refused, she grabbed my hand and pulled it out, showing complete impatience. I'm paying for quality, not a rushed job that requires a fix in a week. The staff here seem lazy, cutting corners while charging full price. My nails looked awful, and I'm done with this place. There are better salons in Midtown, and I won't be returning, especially after being grabbed due to their impatience. In looking for a reliable lash technician after experiencing booking issues with my usual tech, I paid for (and tipped well) a full set of lashes with Tanya and after about 3 days, 75% of my lash extensions had fallen out. In my previous experience with lash extensions, they typically last about a month before I need another full set. I reached out to Tanya on Instagram to let her know of the issue with my lashes and she was very apologetic, offering to redo my lashes complimentary. After waiting an hour after our scheduled appointment, after she applied my lashes, she informed me that I would be charged a week's refill $50. As I did not want to cause a scene and go back and forth with her, I reluctantly paid but I will not be returning. Tanya was not only dishonest, but she lacks the skill and ability to properly apply lash extensions, while charging the price of a seasoned technician. If you're looking for some AMAZING nail art/design, this is the spot! I can only really speak for Alayna, the owner, since she's the only person that's done my nails so far, but she can do it all. Show her an inspiration of what you're looking for, and she can replicate it while adding her own spin to it. Charging $20 for gel polish was robbery to me. Got my nails done June 7, my nail broke off at the end on June 8. June 14, I had a nail that broke from the base (cuticle). After the first nail, they offered to fix it for free but after spending 3.5 hours there, I simply opted out. I had been using builder gel for 5 months and as my nail tech was on leave, I needed a temp. In 5 months, I have never lost a nail or broken a nail even going weeks without a fill in. The salon is decorated very vibrantly, it's super nice and welcoming. Since 2019, I've got serviced from a few nail techs there. My favourite nail tech is Alicia, she works well with you on whatever design you have & helps you perfectly execute your vision. She's patient, and her art is awesome. One star gets knocked for me because there have been a few occurrences where I'd have to come back in after my initial appointment for minor issues. These issues mostly consist of gems/ art work rubbing or falling off. Not a major issue, but it is a nuisance. They are pretty good with rectifying the issue. Appointments are scheduled to make adjustments & corrections. & I have been offered a discount on my next service. I've been coming to this salon for about 2 years and have switched two technicians due to tardiness. Today, though, was the worst. I made the appointment, paid the deposit, and this is about the 4 or 5th time I've had to wait for the technician to get in. She, Thuy, uses the excuse that she lives an hour away... sorry but that's not my issue. Because I work in the service industry, I'm not oblivious to Atlanta traffic and understand that it be unpredictable. I live 45 minutes away, but I make sure that I'm up and out on time while factoring in traffic. It is a hard to be understanding when it is a pattern of tardiness. What made matters worse, Thuy said we're not a good fit because for lack of better words, I'm always complaining about her being late. Ummm, the salon policy is if a guest is 15 mins late, service can be refused but the employee can be 15-20 mins for every appointment with no penalty?! Then, had the nerve to tell me she would refund my deposit and not service me because SHE WAS LATE!!!!! It literally doesn't matter what time my appointment is, if it's her first appointment, she's going to be late. Thankfully, another technician, Cody, was gracious enough to move some things around to take care of me so I left him a great tip and will be visiting him moving forward. He was AWESOME!!! Alaina (the owner) does my nail art- I've received comments from "amazing" to "iconic" The location: They relocated towards the end of last year from a spot by octane to next door to West Egg at White Provisions. Parking is free in the desk and walk to the car from the salon is so convenient compared to before. The space: love the layout- the manicure area is in the center and are high tops! Really cool idea- the technicians stand rather than sit (they have stools if they need them) pedicure stations are in the same room. There's another room with the zero gravity pedicure chairs and what looks to be a private room. The decor is natural woods mixed with white counters and walls. Super clean and refreshing look. The services: I've gotten a zero gravity pedicure and many gel manicures. Alaina has homemade oils to choose from at the end for massaging- my favorite is peppermint or lavender :) Everyone is so chill so it makes the experience really relaxing. They also offer waxing, regular pedicures, and much more The result: My gel nails last 4 weeks usually- most places are 2 weeks when you start seeing chipping. Honestly, my gel nail set at Nouvelle has to be the worst I've ever gotten. The nail artist had absolutely no conception of shaping and I'm most frustrated with myself for leaving a tip, however I have worked in service and feel I always should. Big mistake. Firstly, I let whoever I booked with know what I was expecting and they didn't let the nail tech know at all, so she seemed super stressed out about having to do pure gel. I get Apres Gel X done, which was something she didn't know about so when I said my nail was gel, she argued that it was plastic. No, it's gel. That aside, I don't want anyone to try to convince me to get acrylic with gel nail polish. I want gel, and I don't want someone to be stressed out or upset about that because guess what -- I'm paying for it. Moving forward, she applied the tips and used nail clippers to slice them into a talon-like shape that was truly horrific, clipping my actual nail in the process. The sides of my stiletto nails were hard edges instead of soft slopes. They were so sharp, they ripped my stockings. I told her at one point that the nail she was applying looked crooked and she said, "I'll fix the shape when I apply the gel." After that, I kept quiet hoping that she would fix all of the misshapen nails but she never did. By the time she was done filing them, they were TERRIBLE as you can see from the pictures I've provided. You could see my real nail underneath. A hot f*cking mess as you can see from the pictures. Gel was spilling onto my skin and you can see very clearly that this person wasn't good at builder gel or any type of shaping. It was so bad that the nail artist who had to fix the shape laughed and asked if the same person who did the nail art did the nails because It made no sense that they could do nail art and yet do such a terrible job on the actual nail. Embarassing! That aside, the clear nails were supposed to be a glowing purple and blue -- not glow in the dark. I even showed her a picture. But once again, I thought I was missing something... to be honest, if I have to intervene so many times because you just make assumptions and don't listen to direction, that's not on me, that's on you. I could forgive the nail color not being what i wanted, truly, but I cannot nor will I forgive the trash quality you did on the shape. One of the staff kept saying that they were shaped so well, I truly felt gaslit about it. When I wrote them to complain, they said I should have spoken up. Well, I did and she said she would fix it. Their solution was for me to come back and have the same person fix it. Why would I ever have the same person who clearly doesn't care and/or is incapable of accurately shaping a nail do it again after spending upwards of three hours there being made to feel like I didn't know what I was talking about or what I wanted was asking too much? Especially considering that i was in town and on my way across the country, why would I ever spend another 3 hours of my life in such a situation? Make it make sense!!!! I finally just gave up because I was so angry. Learn to just give people their money back. I wasn't even able to post these pictures online because the quality was so terrible and frankly I was ashamed to be associated with such low quality nail shaping. Everyone I showed these nails was horrified. Absolute trash-- I will never be back, ever. And I will be very vocal about the terrible customer service. It's really sad, because the next salon I went to was amazing. And I posted about them and got them three customers... and I don't even live in Atlanta. What a shame that can't be Nouvelle. After a few more visits, I stopped going to Nouvelle. Ellie was nice enough, but I didn't enjoy her design work. When I switched to SNS, she used super sharp nail file bits, and I left with multiple cuts. On one occasion, the powder scraped the plexiglass barrier. Instead of fixing it, she just kept going. There was a very visible chip in my nail bc I had design work. I haven't been back since the summer. The aesthetic there is still beautiful, so def try them out. They have several techs! read more

This was my first experience at Nouvelle Nail Salon and it will be my last. I arrived 5mins early for my appointment (mani/pedi) as requested; It started 15 mins late. (No big deal, things happen) I had a lovely nail tech. I actually planned to be a regular at this salon, as I really enjoyed working with her. I told my nail tech I had an important appointment with my realtor and due to the time it took for my nails (&starting late) I would not be able to stay for the pedi.. she informed Alayna. I go to check out, and book my next appointment with the tech I saw, and Alayna tells me it's $75 (SNS removed, Overlay, Vfrench)...and that I will not get my $25 deposit back due to me not being able to stay for the pedicure. ...what!! So, I'm giving you money? $100 for a simple mani. My time nor money was respected at this establishment. Not a good practice for customer relationship building. I will not spend another dime with people like this; I can spend my money with a nail salon that respects me as a new customer and more importantly, my time as I respect theirs. I have been going to Nouvelle for 8 years now and I still get excited every time I book. The customer service is stellar! My nail tech (usually Alayna 99% of the time) is always on point. They always give me whatever I ask for, surpassing my expectations every time. The ambiance of the shop is like none other -- a modern chic decor without compromising your health by following Covid-19 Guidelines. They do a great job of social distancing, ensuring everyone is masked and cleaning their stations often. I absolutely love this place. This nail salon has very poor customer service. Everytime I come they seem to care only about the money and not the quality of service. I have gone regularly to this salon for a few months by choice since I live in the neighborhood and because I like the nail technician. The past 3 times I've gone my nails have chipped literally the next day. I have asked to not have the same person repair the chip as I knew it would chip again and that's exactly what happened. I had to go back to this salon twice within a span of 3 days because my nail chipped. The owner tried to blame me which I do not appreciate it when I clearly stated when this person does my nails they always chip. But they forced me to see the same technician anyhow. When I'm spending $150+ on my nails I expect them to last and not chip literally the next day. There are several reviews about nail chips as well as their quality of products which I am now starting to think are old. They refunded me $5 (which is a joke)after I went to their salon twice within 3 days for the same nail chip. The second time I got it repaired the technician painted my nail the wrong color and tried to assure me it was the lighting (which was not true)! I had to go to another salon (wasting my time and gas) to get it fixed properly and it's been over a week and not a single chip! That's how I know it's their products and techniques that are improper. Their pedicures are also lacking. The water is often luke warm and they barely scrub your feet. I've even been charged incorrectly for my pedicure and almost paid more. I had to ask everytime for a written receipt because they never would print me a receipt. So I know they are incorrectly charging customers more money! I've never gotten a thanks for using our services or a how are you from the owners in the salon. The only way to get an appointment is also via text even though the owner sits behind the desk all day they will never call you. I would've given an higher review because I liked the nail artist Thuy and how my nails always lasted when she did my finger nails but due to the poor customer service of the owners I cannot do so.
