I've been going to this salon for around a year now and as someone who gets very detailed nails any time I get my nails done I have to say this is the only place I've ever been to that really does get what I want right. I dont know if how much I pay is considered "pricey" to some but I feel that compared to a lot of other ATL salons the prices really aren't that bad for what you get and how long they last you (mine typically last me around a month no breakage). The staff is all super sweet and I haven't had a bad experience with any of the techs that I've interacted with which is I'm pretty sure most of them. Came here on my trip in ATL and was very satisfied. Customer service was 10/10. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming AND the music they were playing ?!!! Set the vibe very nicely , I loved it. I went in for a manicure and pedicure but ended up getting a pedicure and a fill because they said if I took my acrylic off my manicure wouldn't look as nice as my nails underneath hadn't grown. Honestly I respect them for being honest with me because I know I wouldn't have been happy if I would've proceeded with what I originally thought I wanted. Granted, they weren't pushy or anything they just gave their opinion after I had asked so if I had still wanted the manicure they were completely fine with doing that. I came in for a pedicure. Basic manicure was an additional $20, which seems high for a manicure (not gel). Even with all of the colors available on the plastic shade samples, it was difficult to find a fuscia or magenta color. Then they dried my feet and legs with a ratty old towel that looked more like a rag... Looked down at my toes after they dried and they hadn't painted into the corners of each nail and I had to ask them to touch them up before I left. I noticed that it felt really hot in here, like the a/c is barely on. The staff were very nice but I don't think that I would come back here. read more

The nail techs are awesome! Unfortunately they have to work in unsanitary conditions, the nail salon is FILTHY, nail dust all over everything( tables, seats, floor). I called a few times to speak to the manger or owner and was told they had No idea as to when they would be in and No need to take my number for a return call. I've come here consistently for a year and i hadn't had problems until today. Highly recommend not going to the SAM, she did a rush job and my nail broke immediately after i they were done. If you come here avoid SAM, i tipped here well and she when i asked for them to be fixed i was told to come back in 1hr to get them fixed as if im on her clock and they refused to give me a refund. Clean & welcoming! I came on short notice & Sam assisted me. She took her time on my new gel set nails and gave me exactly what I asked for. She was delicate & not rough. Love that! Her pedicure was so relaxing I fell asleep! I have no complaints besides finding the place at first. This place seems like a hit or miss depending on when you go and who you get. I've been here twice and had polar opposite experiences. The first time was 5 stars when the owner, Bobby, did my gel mani. He did an amazing job and is very friendly and conversational. The second time I came in for a regular pedi and gel mani and my experience was drastically different. The good: The girl who did my pedicure was fantastic and they looked great. The bad: They didn't have someone get started on my mani until after I was done with my pedi. This meant I was at the salon for two hours. Not ideal considering at the beginning, I asked them whether SNS took longer than gel and chose gel because I was short on time. The ugly: Lawd. Just look at the picture. They let me leave like that. The man who did my nails this time must have been new. When he asked if I wanted to my nails trimmed, I said just a little because I liked the current length. He reduced them to nubs. RIP nails. I've never had my nails cut so short to the point of bleeding. Everything was just awful. I didn't say anything at the time and don't blame that man because he was a very nice man who was trying his best. This is management's fault for clearly not training him properly and allowing clients to walk out the door like this. Will probably go back to Piedmont Nails where they are consistent and I know I can get in and out in an hour with both a mani and pedi. I wanted to like this place because it's so convenient to me but there are several things they need to work on. read more

Whoever answered the phone said "I'm sorry she's not here" and hung up. I called back and there was no answer. It's been a couple years since my last review so it's time for an update. Unique Nails and I are still going strong! I can't say enough about this place ... the best service and some of the people have become family! One thing I always noticed at other salons is the high turn over ... you finally find someone you love and then poof they are gone. Due to that turn over I felt like I didn't always love my nails or wasn't satisfied with my services when I left. NOT HERE! Everyone has been at this salon a long time. Rosa, Bobby, Vickie, Wendy & Jenny are all phenomenal and take the best care of you! I have booked with all of them and always leave beyond happy and my legs feel rejuvenated after a massage with my pedi! (My fellow nurses know how important that is!) I love that I know everyone and they all know me. The intimacy of being a smaller salon makes all the difference in the world. Unique Nails went through a renovation in January. It's so cute! They did shut down for part of covid but as soon as they reopened I was back to booking (as they are appointment only now). They made every effort to make sure they were following safety guidelines as well as making customers feel safe. They were spacing people out as well as had plexiglass dividers to be between staff and clients at the nail stations as well as pedi chairs. I laid very low and didn't go many places but I felt 100% safe going here. In my last review I mentioned a more limited polish selection ... that has changed as well! Tons of colors no matter what you are looking for - regular, a step up from regular (I love the OPI infinite shine line), gel or SNS. Bobby and Rosa (possibly others too but I've seen their work personally) are great if you like your nails to have some pizzazz and personality with designs! I'm going to tell you right now ... you can not find a better deal (especially for the top notch service and quality) than you will find at Unique Nails! I take all of my friends here and they can believe how reasonable the pricing is when they have been paying so much more other places and not left as happy as they did leaving here. If you are looking for a nail salon, make this one your new home ... I promise you won't regret it! Also, the pandemic has been rough on everyone ... please tip well! They will take exceptional care of you and deserve to be taken care of in return. Currently they are open Wednesday through Sunday and are appointment only so call ahead to schedule! Long was super accommodating and gave me an instant appointment. & Mrs. Vicki did my mani I didn't feel rushed , everyone was so pleasant. 5 out of 5 would recommend. This is a great family business that had truly done its part in the face of a global pandemic. They are currently appointment only to avoid the crowding normally seen in bail salons. They have screens between customer and esthetician (see picture caption for details). The estheticians have masks on and removable lining is used in their pedicure tubs. During my visit the door was left open to allow airflow and only two customers were in the salon. I can only imagine the financial losses being incurred to run a nail salon in these safer conditions and i commend them for their humanity ! Thank you for doing your part Unique Nails! read more

I called in ahead of time asking for the price of full set nails. I was told $55. I made my appointment requesting Sam as my nail tech. I arrived to my appt and Sam sat me down. I showed her my style and she was "ready" to begin... I was shocked when she was going to touch my hands with her dirty gloves so I asked her if she was going to changed her gloves because they looked dirty. She said they weren't dirty. I then showed her all the brown spots and pointed out all the ick... She said she has some sort of condition and can't do nails without. I let her know the only way we can begin is if she switches to clean gloves. Ya'll those gloves were looking old out, tired and retired! She wanted to give me attitude but kept it cute for the coins. She then said Ann would do it. I waited 10mins for Ann to be finished with her customer to begin my nails. I showed her my style and we began. It was my first time at this salon and she asked me what length and I told her MEDIUM. She then put on the acrylics and began to cut it. She showed me where she was going cut and I agreed assuming she's showing me the medium length I requested. She applied the base color and I said "I actually like this color alone without the design I think I might just leave it like that." She then convinced me that it looked "boring" and I shouldn't leave it alone. (This is where her second intent shows). We finished the nails, Sam was very touchy grabbing my phone trying to get me to make a review and post pics on IG.... How intrusive. I proceed to check out and this girl really telling me my bill came to $130.................... I said pardon? She then said because it is $5 per hand for design (which I wasn't told but didn't have a problem with)... $80 for long nails... So I said her where long nail price came on this when I asked for medium. She said because my nails are "medium long." I said how much is long, medium, and short length? She said short is $55, medium $70 & long $80. So she chose for me to pay her more disregarding the fact that I told her medium. She said "YOU told me where to cut." With a smirk on her face... I said everyone's definition of medium is their perspective so how am I suppose to know. I fully told her medium so I'm expecting that, not "medium long." Sam intruded and said "we can cut off all your nails right now and give you back your money." I proceeded back to the chair and she then changed her mind saying she will give me my $10 back cause they know they tried to use their brain on me. What abrasive behaviour trying to steal from their on client.. Yikes... Seems like money is tight around there if they has to resort to this. I won't be return or suggesting to anyone. (I also asked them to delete my video off their IG and they didn't). Bad representation of the company. Where are their price charts? Stop fraudulent behaviour. Take my advice and take your business elsewhere! read more
